Arrow Rock State Historic Site Visitor Center

Excellent visitor's center/museum about the history of the Arrow Rock area, interesting characters, artifacts, etc. I think this is a "must-visit" if you want to truly understand what you see in the town, because the explanations there are rather light. This is definitely better. Good clean restrooms, and light refreshments if needed.

This place is awesome, more like a museum than a visitors center. Pets not allowed so we took turns walking the dog and going inside to look at the artifacts and informational brochures

So beautiful. History is amazing. The history of Arrow Rock is something every person should experience. The ride on a motorcycle is worth every bit.

This is such a fun historic site to visit. The visitors center and some of the surrounding area is maintained by the state, while some of the town buildings are owned by the Friends of Arrow Rock, and the rest are privately owned. Walking through the little town and looking at the historic homes is a treat, especially when all the flowers are in bloom. The museum in the visitors center has a number of good exhibits, and the village has a couple of restaurants, a theater, and some shops. A nice way to spend a good chunk of a day.

Sometimes when it's the awful year 2020 and you want to pretend like it's not, you visit a historical area and just repeat the phrase "No no no, not again, go away and leave me alone" till your blood pressure goes down and then take a deep breath and start whistling a happy tune you heard in an old movie you saw a long time ago. And when the cops show up you can show them your doctor's note and eventually you'll have a minute to relax.

Very neat museum that describes the history of the area and how involved Lewis and Clark are.

Very interesting exhibits that were very informative of the history in area. A must see for any history enthusiast.

Its different something you dont see alot and people are so nice the stores and sites were so pretty and welcoming
