Everything Bagel

This is my first semester at WCU, and I had heard of Everything Bagel from peers and colleagues. I am sad to say that today was my first time visiting, because they are closing for good on October 15 due to the widening of Main St. in Sylva. The food and service were amazing. We came to the dine-in side, and nearly all of the tables were full. We had to wait a few minutes to place an order due to how busy they were, but ordering was simple and easy. We got two breakfast sandwiches, and also got the pasta salad and potato salad. All of the food was really good and unique. I will definitely miss this place but I am glad I was able to try some of their menu before they closed.

Just visiting the area but had heard about EB on previous visits. I like a good bagel, and am often skeptical of those claiming to have good ones. No need to worry here! Had a fantastic bagel with lox and schmear. It's clear they care, as all of the ingredients/toppings were of high quality. My only regret was not bringing the fam with me so we could have tried different things! Definitely good enough to make a purposeful stop next time we are in town. Be advised that the building could be labeled a "dive", as it's small and it's an older building, but it's clean and certainly should not keep you from coming in!

Best bagel I've had since I lived in New England. Perfectly toasted, enough cream cheese for the perfect last bite! Chive cream cheese was amazing, I wish I got some to take home. Next time we'll stop on the way in AND in the way out.

Staff is very friendly! The bagels are out of this world fresh and tasty!! I got the BLT, added turkey and avocado. Was $10 and worth every penny!!!!

My family and I went in the other day and had such a great experience! We ordered a ton of food and yup it was way to much but oh well it was all AMAZING! Bagels were nice and soft. They were toasted perfectly and had just the right amount of cream cheese. I ordered the breakfast classic with ham and cheddar on a plain bagel and it was to die for. My daughter got the blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese and took one bite and asked for us to turn around and get another. We will definitely be back! We are so glad that Sylva finally has a GOOD bagel place to get FRESH bagels.

Okay, Jackson County, don't get too excited but we have a real deal bagel shop now. I consider myself something of a bagel aficionado and I have come here to tell you these bagels are GOOD. And so was the coffee! Prices are reasonable and the staff were super sweet! Thank you Everything Bagel for bringing New York Bagels to my N.C. hometown and doing them up right. I wish you super success and can't wait to see you next time!

While I can't speak about everything, I can speak to the loaded grilled cheese bagel that is one of my new favorites. It was super cheesy, the avocado and tomato were a great addition to my chosen base of ham and umm... it was a delicious bagel. The tea was great too! The service was excellent and I was able to call in and pick it up at the drive through window. Thanks for a great sandwich experience!

Great local eats! They have daily specials and the food is tasty and reasonably priced. The service is friendly and fast. Call ahead and you can just pick up from the drive-thru. I love the different cream cheese options. (My personal favorite is a cinnamon raisin bagel with honey-nut cream cheese!)

Great bagel (plus so much more) shop! Like I stepped into a NYC bagel shop (except the service was friendly😅). Nice coffee options. Wonderful lunch fare. Looking forward to my next visit!

Love this place! My family is from Staten Island and we always talk about how the bagels made up north taste different, we think it has something to do with the water, that's probably why they come in frozen. But, nevertheless so glad to have a real NY bagel place. I just hope they get egg flavored bagels in the future!

Went here for the first time the other day and absolutely loved it! The bagel sandwich I got was so good, and I only had to wait about five minutes. I really like the combination of both traditional and fun options on the menu. I will definitely be going back and highly recommend it to anyone in the Sylva area looking for a quick, yummy bagel spot.

Okay. I am excited about this place. I am gluten free, and first of all, there is a gluten free bagel option here, so thumbs up for that. I was expecting the bagel to be a bit sad because GF often is, but wow, was it tasty, big, and chewy - like a bagel should be! I got the special, which was some sort of turkey and avocado sandwich. It was very good. Would definitely recommend. They have normal bagel options with fun cream cheese flavors as well as salads and breakfast or lunch sandwiches. Excited to go back on my next visit to Sylva!

I’ve always wanted a NY bagel deli in Sylva, and we finally have one. Being from NY, I’m somewhat of a connoisseur of bagels, and I can say this place is excellent! I really hope they get egg bagels in the future, because then it would really feel like home! The staff is friendly, and efficient with their service as well! If I could give more stars, I would!

Great bagels. I live west of here, but anytime I am in town or driving by I have to stop in. A cinnamon raisin bagel with honey nut cream cheese is my go to and it is absolutely delicious! The bagels are lighter and fluffier that any other bagel I have ever eaten

OMG, I have been wanting to stop in here for about a year but never found the time. I finally stopped Thursday, and ordered the Monte Christo. I read this place had super bagels, and I concur. I have not had a bagel this good since I left NY. In fact, I think they are better. I will be stopping more often

My wife and I love this place for breakfast. My favorite is the Monte Cristo. Glad we have Everything Bagel here in town. It is a great change from the typical food joints. And based on the reputation we are not the only ones that think so!

Me and my fiancee went to Everything Bagels after excitingly waiting for it to open. I am happy to say it did not disappoint. I had the maple bacon breakfast bagel and a coffee. First, I'll say this is a great alternative to Dunkin coffee if you want standard coffee with favoring (Not coffee with whip cream, toppings and so on).

Their bagels are fantastic too, and reasonably prices with good variation on their menu.

I can't wait until they start using their drive-thru fully because I think they will be a good alternative for coffee (and you won't have to wait in the street and risk a ticket) and a great bagel to pair with it. I really recommend a cinnamon raisin bagel if you go.

Great customer service and very delicious bagels! I got their weekly special, the French Dip and the Lux! Both were great choices! Definitely recommend it. Their iced coffee is really good too!

Oh yes! New York bagels approved by my New York Wife! It's a basic place but bagels are such a basic thing, we're very happy to have such delicious bagels in our small town. Sandwiches look good too!

So went there on the 18th at 9:30am cause I noticed it was finally open. To my amazement I was met with a sign on the front door saying “Out of Bagels, should have by 11am”. Well who opens a bagel shop and runs out of bagels, I didn’t want a biscuit, croissant, or Kaiser roll and that’s what the sign stated was available. Do they not make their own bagels? Shouldn’t take an hour and a half to have more?? You’d think it would be better since it was “Coming Soon” for 8 months..

UPDATE: Since my initial visit I have returned twice and have been 100% satisfied which leads to this update. I give credit where credit is due and this business can prove to be a true asset to this community if it continues the current path!
