The food was amazingly hot and fresh the salad bar was great. Customer service was great also very friendly welcoming environment would recommend!! Most definitely will go back!

Loved it!!! Stopped in my chance leaving New Orleans. Great hometown kinda place. Our service was excellent ! The food was amazing n the customers were even friendly. You can tell the regulars that frequent every morning. Waitress called them all by name & had their order ready before they even sat down! A definite must stop!

The restaurant was great the food was very good I had the thin catfish and the shrimp platter. The service was excellent you did not have to ask for a refill on the iced tea they were there on the spot. Highly recommend this place.

My wife and I just finished a late breakfast here at The Cafe. As usual everything was perfect. Delicious food and friendly service set in a delightful atmosphere. I strongly recommend The Cafe! Enjoy!

4/23: We stopped for breakfast. My omelet filled the plate and was made with cheddar cheese, my grits were old school, and my biscuit was light and flaky. My companion’s fare was similar. This is a terrific place and a bargain besides - real downtown home cooking!

The food was great! The service was great! The place is just a little crammed! But overall, a great experience!

It is family run, and the atmosphere is very homey. The staff are friendly and sweet.

My husband and I stopped by this very cozy restaurant on a trip to New Orleans. After driving through the night, we were ready for a delicious, tummy-filling breakfast. That is exactly what we found at The Cafe.
My husband had the Western Omelette which was absolutely delicious. Excellent blend of cheese, peppers, onion, and ham. I had the Pancake Platter, and I can't rave about it enough. A thick fluffy pancake that really caused a discussion between my husband and I about whether it was more delicious than the pancakes our moms made when we were younger.
If you are in the area, this is the best place for breakfast! Stop in.. You won't be sorry.

Very good Cafe with great prices and homemade taste. This is a great locally-owned restaurant that provides great service with a smile. Try the lunch buffet or order from the menu. You won't be disappointed but if you are just say something. They will take care of you.

Fantastic experience! The waitresses were very friendly, and everything I ate was fantastic. I got the buffet, so I pretty much ate a little bit of everything.

This place was awesome u know what I’m so happy and blessed that went there tonight after talking to a deputy that I call a brother from another mother I respect that he a good guy and does his job after talking to him I ask him we’re a good place to eat so he said go hear and u will be happy and blessed so pull up and the lady said sorry we just closed I said okay doesn’t matter we take whatever so she said what about fish and shrimp fries and tarter sauce and stuff said sure so went in to pay for it and was gentle mean eating and lady’s in there so told them thanks for everything appreciate it and kinda told him my story and they were shock girl said we’re Avenue g at just smile and laugh but guess what I will be there tomorrow to eat prime rib for sure

The food and service was great. Very friendly waitresses. Very good atmosphere and I highly recommend it to all my friends. Very clean restaurant
