Regal Hollywood - Gainesville

We have visited Regal Hollywood on two separate occasions and had excellent experiences on both our visits. We have the unlimited Regal pass for myself and my wife both, and we normally visit the Dawsonville location, but some movies are only available in Gainesville.

On both our visits, we found the theater clean and welcoming. The bathrooms have always been very clean and in working order. The men's room inside the theater area has one toilet that is out of order, but with our current economy, that is not unusual at many businesses.

The sound and video quality of the films is excellent and the theater itself has been clean on both our visits. The seating is very comfortable.

We have not had to wait in line when we arrive for snacks or beverages; the staff are all very friendly and helpful based on our experiences.

As other reviewers have stated, the building is older, but with so many theaters closing as more people stream content at home, I feel lucky to have a place to go.

When you leave the theater after dark, the parking lot is dark, and with crime, I always bring a pocket flashlight and try to park close and be aware of our surroundings. Not really the fault of the theater but just a fact of life today. If you show up for an afternoon movie, it is something to be aware of.

I took my mom and her friend here on Sunday and we had a wonderful experience. I had trouble pulling up our tickets on my phone and Carlie
was so patient and helpful. Once we
got that resolved she helped us get refreshments and was so pleasant and lovely. Carlie was exceptional at making our outing very special. It's very refreshing to see employees who are so helpful and caring.

Had a great time at the movies and met Carlie! She is super sweet and welcoming! Can't wait to see more of her positive energy!

Had a fantastic experience here! I brought our summer camp with 21 kids and they made sure everything was taken care of. When I had difficulty purchasing tickets online Zach the manager made sure everything was fixed and squared away on site. He even told me how to make booking easier in the future. We will be sure to plan field trips here every year after the wonderful service we received today!

Went to watch Alpha. The movie wasnt what I expected based on the Trailer but I guess it had a good story behind it. But the Cinema was great and i enjoyed it there.

It's a small theater, but they keep it clean and the staff is helpful.

There are other theaters near us. But this is our destination location. Maybe it's because there's restaurants and shopping nearby. But this theater is always clean, service fresh popcorn, and a friendly smile behind the counter.

I have always had a great experience there. It is the only theater that is the closest to me and is a great place to take the family. Convenient to local restaurants and shopping places

So glad this place is still here.. I realize with 60-in home TVs and home theaters and etc it's easy to forget going to the movies but there's something about it that just can't be replaced. America needs to get back to more movie theaters and even more so drive in movies. Place was clean well served and really just a good place to have memories. We will miss the memories one day and I hope it's not a Day that comes anytime soon.

Went here 1st time couple weeks ago to see mario movie. My fiance is hard of hearing and they accomodated they have 2 options head phones or glasses that have subtitles appear. He chose glasses worked great n appreciate accomodations.

Very accommodating of me being very hard of hearing and were courteous of it with the closed caption device...which is rare. Many places have given me attitude about it. Not here. That meant a lot to me.

New to the area, this theater was smaller than I was used to, but very cozy and clean. And Cats is a must see for musical lovers👍

This movie theater is the best one in the area as far as we are concerned. We love their popcorn too

No complaints. I liked this theater. We want to see Toy Story 4 and it was awesome. The bathrooms are clean, popcorn was fresh and the theater was clean. Really can't ask for more than that. They have some arcade games for the kids and a $5 photo booth if you want to take some pictures at the movies. The matinee pricing wasn't too bad; for two adults and two children it was $40. Kind of expensive but we don't go out much so this is probably cheap for most family's.

Comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Tickets are less expensive than other theaters, but concessions are usually high everywhere. The location is very convenient for Gainesville and its nearby residents. Overall it is a good cinema. I actually attend it quite frequently because it is the closest to me. The movies are current and the place is pleasant.
Update: I went to watch Top Gun Maverick this week and the sound was awesome!
FYI: The concessions kid's package is a great affordable choice for those who prefer small munchies. It comes with popcorn, candy and a drink. I am looking forward to go back to see Elvis next! Silence is truly golden...Enjoy the movie🍿🎬

Saw the new Star Wars here with my teen/tween boys and hubby. Their theater is always clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. Earlier shows are not ever crowded to capacity so we get our pick of decent seating. The refreshments are always overpriced..which is expected. But I bring my guys a candy bar from th e dollar store and just have to buy popcorn..so all is well. Overall, I've been using this theater as the main one for 20 years and I have no complaints!
