Bobby Brown State Outdoor Recreation Area

We drove 9 hours to stay here with family for Mother’s Day weekend and stayed in one of the yurts. We had a great time! Everything was so clean and beautiful. The yurt was spotless. The bathrooms and showers were also. Every time I went to use them it looked and smelled like they were just cleaned. They furnished the toilet paper but you have to bring everything you need for showers. We visited with family in the rv area a lot and it was also really nice. We’re in the process of planning a longer trip up there.

Best camp ground ever! Camp hosts very accommodating and extremely friendly and helpful. Beautiful trails to hike, lake to kayak in (they rent paddle boats and other items in season!). Campsites level and clean. Most are back in but we didn't have any prob with 32 ft class C or 30 ft trailer! Groceries about20 miles away and gas about11 miles at a 7-11! Will def be going again! Thanks for a great camping experience😍

Best State Park EVER!! Best camp ground EVER!! From reservation to us leaving the customer service and caring nature of the camp hosts made our stay so enjoyable!! So happy we stumbled on this place! Clean showers with heaters and fans, restrooms and laundry room. Thanks Bobby Brown State Park for a great stay!!!

Love seeing the beautifil wild deer, watching them eat little piles of corn I put out for them each evening, along with watching them bite and lick the mineral blocks I set out. They love this stuff and it really makes me happy to see them enjoying extra food.

Great little place now run by county. Lady at office was very pleasant & helpful. Same for cmpgrd host lady. VERY clean & well maintained.

First time to go here, loved every minute of it ,nice shady site #23 had our tent, a screened gazebo, and all our equipment and had plenty of room, the rivers are gorgeous, the campsite host is very nice ,we will be returning again soon

We stayed at site #8 on the Broad River Side. Short walk to a small private beach area. Cell service and Wi-Fi spotty at best, but if you're there to relax and unplug it won't matter, but if you're wanting to get some work done while you relax, it might be a little iffy depending on your equipment. Overall a great trip. Unlike the sites to either side, this one has a lightweight picnic table, easy to move around compared to the concrete tables in the sites in either side which can't be moved.

The staff is super friendly! The park is meticulously clean! I could not find any trash no where. I have not camped here for years, and came for Labor Day and it is one of my favorites now. You should call ahead, since the park fills quickly.

I always have a nice time when I go to Bobby Brown Park. The lake is always glistening. The trees were swaying as the breeze made the leaves flutter down.

Nice park for camping and enjoying Lake Thurmond. I placed Hercules ❤ there and she's doing excellent! It won't be long and she will be released back into the wild!

You would feel closer to nature.
It provides Digital detox though with barely any network. But that's what we seek for while camping right!😀

We booked a camp site at Savannah Front with a lake view (Site no-45). We had booked Site no:55 initially though it's totally first come first serve though.

The environment was so peaceful.

The washrooms were also well maintained.

The charging facility is helpful for EVs.

There are varied activities which you can indulge in like Kayaking, fishing, archery etc.

This is a wonderful park. The camping site look great but we stayed in the yurts. These were awesome looking out over the water. Not just great scenery but it was very clean and the camp host was very friendly and helpful. He made the visit even better. This is a great place to get a way.

We had a great weekend camping here. Very nice park with clean facilities and friendly staff. Campground was well maintained by our host. Roads are paved with gravel sites that are mostly level with good space. Picnic area also has a fishing pier an boat ramps. A smaller boat ramp is located in the Broad River side of the campground. Enjoyed hiking the trails that included a suspension bridge. The park has yurts available as well. There is not much for cell service and no online booking but I was told this would be coming later this year when they install wifi. We will be coming back.

Bobby Brown is one of the best park's in Elbert county. Beautiful wildlife, amazing views over the savannah river side, very nice and clean camp grounds the urks are very nice the whole Park is really took care of and that's not the begging of how much fun this place is from pet deer 🦌 to the old under water city of Petersburg and not to mention all the events and concerts that take place in the summer months if you make it to Bobby Brown State don't forget to Walk the nature trails and the wooden and wire bridge what an amazing place to stay

A little out of the way but worth it. Lots of wildlife. Level sites Beautiful lake. Really nice community center with pool tables and more. No longer a state park. Has been taken over by the county.

We enjoyed the Southbound Music Festival here. The park is very nice & clean.

Very friendly staff. Helpful what you may need. Only downfall there is no signal for cell phone service.

Everyone was so nice and helpful.

I really loved this place and although it's about 600 miles away from me often considered doing that drive just to be there again.

Can't say enough about the camp ground hosts... an older couple the epitome of Southern Hospitality in a serene lake side place.
