Adore Elijah Clark State Park in Florida! Massive forest by the Savannah River with stunning fall colors. Spacious sites, awesome views. Great for long walks. Only hiccup: not well marked—spent 40 minutes finding our spot and figuring out how to get in. Still, can't wait to return!

This park is a piece of heaven. We did walk the beach/ shore line and bike the roads. But just sitting and looking at the view would have been great. Bathrooms were clean. Some sites may be tight for our 30’ TT. But there were class A’s and fifth wheelers there. We will be back.

We had a fantastic experience at Elijah Clark State Park! The campground was stunning, providing a perfect backdrop for a memorable stay. The hiking trails were a delight, especially with our playful dog, Ace, by our side. Additionally, dining at Back Paddle Brewing nearby added a delicious touch to our visit. Highly recommend this gem for a rejuvenating outdoor getaway.

Camping sites right on the shore gave beautiful views of the lake. The camping sites have a grill, fire ring, and picnic table. We enjoyed boating on this lake, and my husband caught some fish.

Everything here is so beautiful and peaceful. The 2 campgrounds are very spacious and very well designed and maintained, and is Big rig friendly. We have a 40’ raptor and no problem to settle in, most sites are leveled, comfort stations are very convenient located that have restrooms, hot water showers and laundry rooms as well. The office staffs are so friendly and supportive, they provide the best customer service to meet our family needs. Thank you so much Debbi and Alex. We have had a great one week vacation here and will definitely come back again.

Lovely lakeside state park. We spent the weekend in a waterside cabin. The cabins are definitely “of an age” so don’t expect the Hilton, but they are spacious and comfortable with decent air conditioners and soft beds.

The conveniences in the kitchen were appreciated, like a coffee pot and dishwasher and there is a large dining table by the fireplace where everyone can gather to eat. The tv doesn’t have too much to offer, so bring some card games or a puzzle instead!

Loved listening to all the water birds in the morning as ducks quacked and Canada geese honked on the lake.

There’s a big playground for the kids, a simple mini golf course and kayaks to borrow. If you forget anything, the shop at the entrance carries most everything you might need, from sunscreen and bug spray to toiletries, souvenirs and campfire starters.

This is a Beautiful place to stay with so much to do within. Great for families with kids as there is miniature golf, playground, hiking trails and a lot of beach lake access. Too many RV sites with beautiful lake views to list. 50 and 30 amp service. For the larger families not with an RV there are cottages with screened in porches. The bath houses were spotless. Nice easy to use dump stations. The staff is attentive with a very nice arrangement of items you may have forgotten.

It's a great park to spend the day. There are options for everyone, from swimming by the beach, a fishing pier, canoe area, and playground for the kids. Picnic shelters are in the same vicinity, along with a mini golf course. I took the Hannah Clark Trail, and along the way, you may run into some deer and possibly plenty of spider webs if you are the first one walking it.

Great weekend. If you enjoy the water, it is a must! Friendly people, camp sites were well maintained. We found about 4 miles of hiking and some very interesting historical landmarks.

This was my first real camping trip and we could not have chosen a better location. All of the campsites had beautiful views, the rangers and fellow campers were incredibly nice, and the lake was lovely to kayak. We will definitely be back!

I and two friends camped at walk-in tent site number 3 for 3 nights at the end of April in 2023. We were very pleased with the campsite and of course the view of the beautiful Savannah River just 12 ft from our tent was a real plus. The restroom facilities were adequate and clean and the only complaint I have about the walk-in campsites is the lack of a road to one or two of those sites for disabled people so they might park a little closer to their tent even if only for loading and unloading. Two of us are disabled and the walk up and down the hill was pretty rough. I must admit we cheated the last day when it was raining hard and I used the service road marked employees only to load our van for the trip home. Just a suggestion for disabled folks in the future. We used Elijah Clark as our home base for rock hounding at the nearby Graves Mountain and Diamond Hill South Carolina locations. We had fun and we plan to come back sometime in the future.

We loved staying here for the weekend. The grounds are well kept. The restrooms & showers are well maintained. We were lucky to spot this rare pieball dear as soon as we pulled on the grounds.

Campsites are nice and fairly level. Many have a good shoreline for beaching your boat. Be sure to purge water line BEFORE connecting filter or camper. Water was VERY muddy/rusty at Starr, then clear. This was 02/17/2024 hookup.

If you're looking for a great place to camp, look no further than Elijah Clark State Park. Right on the beautiful Clarks Hill Lake or sometimes referred to as Lake Thurmond, this park offers something for everyone. My wife and I, as well as our dog Moab, absolutely love it here. There's plenty of room to camp, plenty of places to fish, and some of the most beautiful scenery around. We'll definitely be back!

Very clean and everyone was friendly. I like the fact they make their rounds after hours and checks everything and everyone over. The views are spectacular.

It was terrific, the campsites had plenty of room. There are restrooms located in convenient areas for all the campgrounds. The view of the Savannah River is very beautiful, there's a beach and a playground and mini golf course that will keep you busy all day long. All of the campers and the staff were exceptionally kind, and there was a sense of camaraderie between everyone out there. I look forward to going back.

This is such a beautiful park and now one of our favorites! I thought the cabins were going to be a bit older looking, but they were so cute with a nice view of the lake, a screened in porch overlooking the lake with rocking chairs. We even had 4 geese walk up to us at the cabin. There's a swimming beach, a putt-putt course, 2 playgrounds, a couple of hiking trails, an archery area, and several boat docks, and lots of areas to camp. The park is very nice and very well maintained. We loved that there wasn't a long drive to get to places inside the park. Often we have noticed it's a long drive to the cabins or camping area from the main activity area. I don't like that, but this park was only a very small drive. Highly recommend this beautiful park!

Enjoyed a one night stay in the first campground. The park rangers were closing and still made themselves available to help me find a site and get me checked in. Cell service is out or super spotty once at the park. That was my first time arriving without a set reservation but they made the process seemless. I was aiming for the walk-in sites that had opened availability that day but was placed within campground 1, site 40. No complaints. Right along the water. The RV campers around me were relatively quiet and hit the hay early, leaving me and my tent alone to enjoy the water. I appreciated seeing water patrolling float by throughout the night; comfort if your out late and in need of help on the water. The site itself was clean, tent pad, fire ring, bbq grill and picnic table as described. Someone comes by during the day to blow the leaves (there weren’t many) to prep for the next reservation- this was a bit much if you want to enjoy the peace and quiet, although I get he was there to make it pretty). For an outdoor space I don’t think any one would’ve complained about the few leaves around the site. Outside of the option to avoid the noise of maintenance while in nature, I’d recommend this place a thousand times. Solo trips, families, tent, RVs, everyone. I’m already set to return this coming weekend; another site in campground 1 on the water. The park itself is nice as well. Hopefully I’ll leave the site to explore more, like the trails. That’s how much I enjoyed my site, and I love hiking!
