We had a great experience with Drake Exteriors. I live in a small townhome development, and one night one of our residents came home from a trip to find a big leak and interior damage. Jacob came out during a storm to help get the situation under control. He was incredibly helpful when we were figuring out what we needed to do, he always explained all of our options thoroughly and helped me understand the insurance process. After the great job he and his crew did with replacing the roof of one building, we've gone back to him and gotten roof maintenance on all of our buildings.

I have referred many of my customers to Jacob Fortner and Drake Exteriors for anything from a total roof replacement to general repairs. I am very particular in who I refer out to my customers. I have only heard raving reviews from the work they have done. I highly recommend them to all my customers and anyone looking for a good quality general contracting company!

at the beginning great very good sales men. once work started the problems began. the sun roof is not wood the roofers did not bring the material that goes under shingles. so they used the same material that they put on house roof. but only patched the sections that where damaged during shingle removal. luckily I work close by and come home for lunch almost every day. If i did not see it I would have never known the poor work that had been done. I complained about the work and was assured the my roof would not leak and was offered additional warranty. I agreed not to have the roof redone. a few days later it rained and I lifted the shingles at the edge of the roof and water was all over the paper. this really worried me. I complained again and got into an argument with representative. they did not want to replace the roof since I had agreed to leave it alone. I treated to file a complain with the BBB and the labor department on their license for improper work then my roof got replaced. the siding well they notified me the siding was complete when I got home there was an entire piece with a hole that was nor replace. Drake exteriors did not order all the material that was needed so subcontractor did not finish the job since he did not have all the material it took weeks for it to be properly done then I had water leaking in to the house wood frame. after a rain water would come out of the siding for hours. they did come back and fix the siding it was just a battle to get them to admit that the job was not done right. the gutters well they had to redo those to. again it was so arguing to get the work done. when the representative for Drake showed up and told the work was okay. I walked him over to my neighbors house and showed him the work that had been done on his house. He still thought his work was okay so I told him that if he felt that way I would agree to leave the gutters alone if he agreed to put the photos of the gutters on the company website as an example of the kind of work that they do. the gutters got replace a few days latter.

It's been about five years since my roof was replaced and I had a couple of questions about a problem I was having. I tried calling the sales rep 3 times that sold the roof and left a message to call me back because I was having a small problem. Of course he didn't. I just tried again and my phone number was block. I also left a message with the office one time and they never called back either.
When the neighborhood all had their roofs replace the company was all over and couldn't do enough for you, now they just disappeared. I certainly won't use that company again.

If you want quality and an owner that you can get ahold of, this is not the company to call. Everything is sub-contracted out to undocumented workers for subservient wages. The owner is either hunting or “hanging out” and not around to actually take care of business. This is definitely a Hillbilly operation, most clearly. They’ll take good care of you as long as you have an enormous roof with a huge insurance payout and they are STILL waiting on the last check. After that folks; you’re on your own!
