Beautiful, wide open gallery space that allows you to stand back and really take in the artwork. The outdoor areas are peaceful and quaint. I enjoyed exploring the artwork of the multiple artists on exhibit.

This is the second arts center I’ve taken pottery classes at, and definitely my favorite all because of my teacher! I’ve been in Lesther Martin’s class the last 5 weeks, and am so thankful for his wonderful knowledge and teaching style. Lesther has expertise on a variety of different techniques and styles, and does an amazing job at meeting each student where they are at and providing individual challenges to help his students grow. I’m already signed up for the next session of his classes and I can’t wait! Would absolutely recommend the Quinlan and Lesther Martin’s classes to anyone looking to explore pottery :)

I recently discovered the center when my class of 4th graders earned an Arty Party for great attendance. It was a lot of fun and the students loved it! We also were able to view a fantastic display of artwork by local schools. My husband and I visited a few weeks later to view the most recent display that featured portraits and other artwork by local artists and we were very impressed. They offer many programs to help develop your inner artist, and we were surprised that there is no charge to walk through to enjoy the current featured art work! Gainesville has a real treasure in the Quinlan Visual Arts Center.

I took my first formal painting class here and it has transformed how I paint and instilled confidence with me as I continue to learn more techniques. I have shared a photo of one of my dogs and the painting I did during my second class. The staff is friendly and the instructors very helpful and knowledgeable. I have also enjoyed being able to view the art in the gallery with my new found perspective. There is some truly remarkable work on their walls!

This wonderful Art Center is such a vital part of the arts community in North Georgia. The Exhibitions, the volunteers, the Board members, the Staff, the Georgia Art League, and workshop instructors are top notch. The Executive Director, Amanda McClure, is an excellent and very creative leader. Nationally known artists and Societies, such as the Georgia Watercolor Society and the American Society of Marine Artists have had and will have future exhibitions at this venue, because the galleries have the best lighting and wall space. The Quinlan Visual Arts Center is so important in many people's lives in North Georgia. Visitors to Gainesville, GA should put this on their must see list.

The exhibits at the Quinlan Visual Arts Center are ever-evolving. The vibrancy of each work, the contemplation and opportunity to write brief poems about works on exhibit through Ekphrasis for the Masses - the intergenerational exchanges are just a few reasons why the "Q" is number one in my book for cultural experiences in the region.

I am so thankful we have a top notch Art Gallery in our town that offers a variety of classes for those who are just starting to paint or have been painting for years. And if you haven’t ever viewed the art gallery please make time to walk through. There is always beautiful works of art at any given time

The Quinlan is a very important element in Gainesville 's quality of life. I have been honored to participate in several shows in this wonderful facility, and it has always been an enjoyable experience. The art is staged both pleasingly and professionally.

I just finished my first painting class taught by Joan Darflinger and I just loved it. Joan is very patient, gives great instructions, and is a very talented artist. I learned so much and I had a lot of fun. I hope to take more classes in the future.

I have literally grown up at the Quinlan. I started at pottery camp, then interned, then exhibited artwork, now my children are attending the summer art camps. I have come full circle.

What a treasure we have in Gainesville GA!
Lucky us!
