CVCA Cardiac Care for Pets - West Palm Beach

My vet got back my dogs bloods & her heart enzymes were very high and she advised seeing a canine cardiologist asap - I didn't even know there was even such a thing! They told me to call Vet Cardiac Care CVCA immediately which I did. They were able to get her scheduled the next day. Dr. Paulo Rivera was just beyond brilliant, kind, gentle and very patient and thorough explaining everything he was doing - an EKG & Echocardiogram and also very descriptive in explaining his findings. I was not expecting to pay over $1100 out of nowhere - but I would never skimp on my precious senior dogs life - Dr. Rivera & his staff made me feel that the unexpended medical costs were worth it, due to the respect, care and professionalism both me & my dog recieved

I had been searching for quality cardiac care for some time unsuccessfully . One can pay exorbitant prices - but that does not necessarily translate into quality care and access to recent advances and techniques.
When my dog and I arrived we felt expected and were made professionally welcome by friendly staff .
Dr Rivera was everything I had been hoping for in a caring well versed professional .
He was extremely thorough and as a health professional I appreciated not being methodically line item pressured into testing or telemetry without justification for cost - a rampant behavior seen at even general practice vets today .
This was a tactic not employed at CVCA - everything was patiently explained justified and presented as options .
I left feeling optimistically confident about my dog's chance to live a normal life longer than I was previously led to believe . I was relieved to finally receive a professional evaluation .

We are fortunate to have this facility , to have Dr Rivero.
I could not be happier with our experience and look forward to my dog's continued care at CVCA .

Made an appointment for our pet at CVCA. It was an easy, efficient and friendly experience. Our 9.5 yr. English Bulldog was experiencing heart stress and needed the services and evaluation of a Vet cardiologist. I appreciate the quick appointment date. Tank was treated with care and kindness. Dr. Rivera was thorough and his Assistant Haley was the Best. We received a statement and summary upon leaving the facility. We have pet insurance and Haley was great at working with them so we only had to pay the balance due. CVCA was great at letting you know what your costs would be. We will be utilizing CVCA services when we are in Florida each year for Tank.

Beautiful facility with a staff that is caring. As we walked in to check in there was a sign welcoming our dog. We were greeted with smiling faces. When the nurse came in, she was knowledgeable about why we were there and what the symptoms were. The doctor came in and met with us and began the testing needed. They were gentle with our dog. You could tell the passion and care they have for animals. Highly recommend.

Dr. Rivera is an amazing veterinary cardiologist. Thank you for all the love & care you provide to the animals when they need it the most. Your kindness & compassion for Maggie is so appreciated. Dr. Riviera and the staff at CVCA were very empathetic, patient, and helpful in both treating and then explaining our cat Madison's medical condition & ongoing treatment regiment. Maddy is now doing much better and we are very much appreciative!

We tried making appointment with Vet Cardiologist for our dog Max but they were booked until March! Our Vet recommendation this new Cardiac Car for pets that opened in WPB. When we called they were able to schedule us right away. The cardiologist and the staff were super nice and Dr was very informative! Highly recommended!

Finding this place and Dr. Rivera was a blessing after a desperate and hopeless search for a cardiologist in all Miami Dade and Broward counties. Thanks CVCA for making cardiac care accessible to our furry little ones. I was able to get an appointment right away. I did not have to wait weeks or be forced to go through an ER to be told that if the ER doctor believed a cardiologist was needed "they will call one that will see my dog but that I won't we able to see or talk to" (real statement I got from some ER hospital in Cooper City). We knew already what he needed was a cardio evaluation after my dog was evaluated by his family vet and a neurologist, we did not need another doctor to decide that, we did not need a 'ghost' cardiologist. I called so many places and finding a cardiologist was almost impossible. I'm grateful we found CVCA.

Awesome cardiologist and vet staff! I went here for a second opinion on my dog's fainting spells. Staff here were way more informative, transparent, compassionate and caring than the first cardiologist I went to. Was able to go in with her for the echo and see it all myself. they took their time explaining options and recommendations. Rooms and equipment are all new, clean and top of the line. Easy to get an appointment, no waiting, and the bill was less than the first cardio! Highly impressed and pleased with their service. Highly recommend them.

Staff is kind and gentle with their furry patients, and Dr. Rivera takes time to get fo know the patient and explain his findings and recommendations. Everybody displayed the highest degree of professionalism and care. Recommended 100%.

This is my third cardiologist and the best yet. I was actually present during the visit and he explained everything I was looking at. I called last week and they were able to get me in this past Wednesday

From the moment Drake and I walked in, I felt at ease in this whole scary ordeal with recent news of my dog’s heart issue. They had a welcome sign with his name on it!! I smiled so big and thanked them immensely!
Mary the main nurse/vet assistant and the Dr were extremely warm, caring and kept both of us less stressed.
Checkout was easy and appt was an hour just as they stated.
