My recent experience with Dr. Rupp and her fantastic staff was nothing short of amazing! The care and compassion my little Stella received, not to mention the state of the art technology used to treat Stella went above and beyond my expectations. The entire staff made a tough situation so much easier. They are the best!
A very happy customer

Dr. Rupp and her team are simply AMAZING!!!
As a pet owner, there isn’t anything worse for me when one of my little guys are not feeling well. In a world of rudeness and lack of consideration for other human beings, it is incredibly comforting knowing my dog is treated with such kindness. Even on those occasionally dark trips to Dr. Rupp, her and her team seem to make the visit a little easier.
By far, one of the best Veterinarians I have ever come across for medical assistance for my dog.

Dr. Machen & staff at Veterinary Cardiopulmonary Car Center have been wonderful since I've started taking my dog there a few years ago. They have always been very professional and kept me well informed. My dog was diagnosed with a heart murmur a few years ago. They have monitored her closely and kept her off medication until just recently. Even when my dog was starting to digress they found a way to see her that same day that her symptoms increased and even with Dr. Machen was out of town she stayed in contact with me to help get my dog back on track. Now Hannah is doing great (despite her condition), I can't thank them enough.

Staff is incredible. Very friendly, professional and trustworthy. My 12 year old lab had an echo done along with a few other diagnostic tests. Thank you so much! Would highly recommend to friends and family.

My 10 year old Cockapoo has degenerative valve disease and we were referred to the Center by his primary Veterinarian. The staff and the doctor are wonderful with the dog; they communicate well; are anxious to decrease my anxiety, and make sure I am comfortable with his medications. They also stress their availability to answer questions. I wish all people doctors' offices were as considerate as this one!

Dr Rupp has been my Cat Tyler's Cardiac Specialist for over four years. The level of care she and her staff give my baby girl is fantastic. Dr. Rupp and staff treat my cat like a member of my family with love and dignity. I couldn't recommend them enough times.

I can't say enough good things about this Vet. I highly recommend this Vet. My dog is in congestive heart failure. I moved from Michigan. Had the appointment set for when I arrived. (Michigan had no cardiac vets.. only in Ann Arbor) They ran tests, spent a lot of time discussing her condition. The Vet ( Maggie Machen had great bedside manner. They call and check up on Candy. The only issue of course would be the cost of tests and meds. Which is the same wherever you go.

Thanking Dr. Maggie Machen and all of the staff at Veterinary Cardiopulmonary Care Center for the excellent care and compassion shown during the treatment of our beloved 7 and 1/2 year old adopted Plott Hound, Hunter. We ultimately lost him due to a complex "perfect storm" of cardiac issues that simply could not be overcome or reversed, but from the very first visit for evaluation, through follow-ups, email and telephone communications, right up to and including the evening he passed peacefully and comfortably on his own at home, Dr. Maggie and her staff provided nothing but the highest standard of care and compassion. We will never forget everything they did to help us cope with Hunter's illness and I would absolutely recommend VCCC to anyone seeking help with the treatment and management of a pet with cardiac issues. They are 100% top notch and professional in my book!

Early March 2015, my 13 year-old chihuahua, Mocha, began pacing and panting in the house which is something she didn't normally do. She is older, was on the heavy side, and basically slept a lot and so for her to be walking/standing/pacing was very unusual. I Google the symptoms and read that it could be heart failure and so I rushed over to my then primary vet at Banfield who told me her stomach was flipped & twisted and she had a heart murmur. Banfield told me to rush her to the emergency vet. I took Mocha to Palm Beach Veterinary Specialists and they gave her oxygen, took xrays, and gave her furmosemide. The Dr told me that her stomach was fine but she is having heart issues. The Dr recommended an echo/ultrasound but suggested I have it done at VCCC and not by one of their techs. PBVS stablized Mocha and kept her overnight and I was able to get in the next day at VCCC and saw Dr. Maggie Machen.

Dr. Machen was very upfront with me about the diagnosis and prognosis. Mocha would need to be on pimobenden and furmosemide for her lifetime. Dr. Machen told me that Mocha could live another six months or longer and recommended routine bloodwork update (which I do at my new primary vet) and echo every six months. She told me the next couple of weeks (after our first visit) were critical and thankfully, I had my parents there to keep an eye on her. I have followed DR. Machen's instructions and in doing so Mocha turned 14 in late December 2015!! She has lived with heart disease/failure for over a year now! Her heart disease/failure is pretty much stable (small decline), but her kidney and liver values are high which is not unusual. Mocha is doing great despite all of this, sleeps a lot, is perky at times, is picky about food (except for treats) and is pretty comfortable.

I am so happy that I followed PBVS's advice and took Mocha to VCCC. I am able to reorder medication online and collect within 2 business days. The front office staff &and nurses are always friendly and the office is super clean. Any concerns and questions I have had about Mocha in between visits, I am able to email Dr. Machen and she responds in a timely manner. I love that! I feel so good knowing that she is an email away should I need her. I have recommended VCCC and Dr. Machen to friends and I know that my primary vet has referred clients as well.

I have 8 small dogs and it is a lot of money to care for them with just routine check-ups, quality food, etc. Throw in medical issues and it had been stressful to wonder how am I going to afford the vet bills!. VCCC's charges have not increased and so I know what to expect when we visit and when I pick-up Mocha's medicine. Plus, they always go over the estimate and so I budget accordingly. I would do anything for my furbabies and having a quality, reputable medical team caring for my dogs is priority.

I know I do not have a lifetime on earth with Mocha (or with any of my dogs), but I am grateful for the time I do have with her. Every single day that passes having Mocha happy and comfortable, I attribute to the quality of care that Dr. Maggie Machen has given to us.

Charles has been a patient of VCCC for over 2 years and thanks to the care and expertise of Dr. Rupp and Dr. Machen his life has remained one of good quality even with a stage 4-5 heart murmur. The staff is kind and courteous. Everyone will take the time to educate you as to how best to care for your 'fur baby's' medical needs to maintain a good life for them for as long as possible. I unhesitatingly recommend VCCC to anyone but don't take it from me--just ask your own veterinarian.

Dr. Rupp and her staff are amazing! They have been treating my rescue dog, Kenji, for his heart issues that resulted from his previous owner neglecting him and allowing him to get a bad heartworm infestation. When I got him he would faint whenever he got excited. Dr. Rupp got him on the right medications which allowed him to safely go through heartworm treatment. Almost 2 years later, Kenji is doing great to the point where he is now off his heart medications. I cannot thank her enough. He is an aggressive dog, but her staff never complains and treats him with love and kindness which I appreciate so much! I highly recommend her to anyone needing a Veterinary Cardiologist.

They make you feel secure and comfortable which is super important. You can tell immediately that they love animals and are there to help as much as possible. They don't rush you in and out and they explain everything with great detail.

They are not just highly educated professionals, but dedicated pet advocates and helpful colleagues with a great bedside manner: Last Friday afternoon their doctors left already, but their staff (Policia) reached one of them on her cell phone, and she guided us through a critical situation for a little pooch with a congestive heart failure,
with modifying the planned treatment protocol
Thanks again! Laszlo Poduszlo DVM
