Westgate Animal Hospital (APPOINTMENTS ONLY)

Maggie as pictured below says thank you Dr. Rivera ! We were referred to Westgate animal hospital by a family member. Although it is a drive from where we live it was well worth the trip! This dog has been living her best life without the extra 5lb tumor hanging off her leg. Thank you again !

First time going, but this will definitely be my vet for my dog, Beya. The staff was friendly from the beginning. I would tell everyone about this vet!!!

I totally recommend this Dr. Been about 3 years now I take my dog. Always happy and his prices are very reasonable too. Thanks to Dr. and Westgate staff also.

Dr. Rivera is the best and he is affordable. He cured my Chinese crested within days she was back to her normal self and eating regularly again. She had gotten sick from eating wet cat food, but thank you to Drm Rivera with the medications he sent us home with, made her feel alot better after 1 day. We kept her on the medications for a week or shorter just in case and she felt so much better after that.

Five stars!! Best place around. I will be using them in the future. The doctors and staff genuinely care. My puppy was sick, and they took me in immediately. I called other vets before finding Westgate Animal hospital, and the wait was days out. They're also reasonably priced. Thank you to the doctors and staff for all your help!

The staff is amazing and they treated my fur babies like royalty even though my dogs are a little sassy they did a phenomenal job handling them! ❤🐾❤ my dogs were spayed and neutered and were back to themselves within days 😁 happy babies happy owner ❤

Simply the best!! Small staff who have worked for Dr. Rivera for many many years! That tells you something about the practice right there.
Also the Dr. CARES about your pet's well being and safe decisions. He doesn't charge outrageous fees for unnecessary procedures.
No fancy matching monogrammed scrubs, designer waiting room and decor, and a staff of 25. What he DOES have is a wonderful bedside manor, state of the art operating room on premises, all labs and x-rays done in lab. This office is kept very clean. That keeps costs WAY down also. It's huge savings so you can afford the best and your budget is taken into consideration. You can focus on your pet without sweating about the bill when you get to the desk.
He has treated both of my dogs, and uses alternative treatments when needed to save your pet when it's critical.
Your call is always returned in a timely manner. They don't put the phone on service 5 mins. before closing. Like I've stated, THEY REALLY CARE!

Have been going to Dr Rivera for about 15 years. He is a fabulous veterinarian. Maria is so sweet and kind. Alfonso is also very kind.

I love this place! Have been taking all my furry babies here for years. They are very down to earth, and do not over-charge their clients. My dear Pixie was suffering from having fur in his lungs, and I was desperate to help him. The doctor was able to figure out a solution, and now Pixie has been breathing much better; finally putting me at ease.

It's a very nice atmosphere and they truly know what they're doing :)

The staff and Dr. Rivera are absolutely the best. I've had several dogs over the past 20 years that I've taken to him and his prices are reasonable. Cheaper than Paws to Help. Dr. Rivera is like the dog whisperer of veterinarians.

I have gone to Dr. Rivera for many years. I referred a lot of people who couldn't thank me enough. He is compassionate, smart, gentle with the animals and has never overcharged. He is very trustworthy . I highly recommend him and his longtime staff.

Veterinarian Pedro is the sweetest and most professional guy ,he loves my dog🙂 I'm so happy I find this place! He helped him in all his needs,I am very thankful! The whole crew is great!

I've rescued Dobermans all my life and always taken them to Westgate. Dr. Rivera has saved 2 of my dogs with emergency surgery. He genuinely cares about your animal as well as understanding "the budget" aspect to pet ownership. He is very affordable. I must mention the secretary has ALWAYS been working everytime I have called or come in, so props to her for working a 6 day work week! She is obviously very organized and is a total professional. I always recommend this business to anyone who has a pet.

Yes, you may have to wait a little over your appointment time. ...there is only 1 Vet working, so if one client runs late it messes up the entire schedule.

* A General Life Tip: If you're jerk, then expect to be treated like a jerk. No one wants to go above and beyond for a jerk. ☄The more you know! ☄

In my book, a Vet that cares AND is affordable is worth a little extra time out of your day.

Dr. Rivera is very professional and a great veterinarian. Took my dog for spaying, two days later she was playing and running around.
