The Eco site has 3 trails you can walk and it's very scenic. The trails are color coded and you just follow the colored sticks in the ground to go the path you wish to go.
Since it is an ecological site, there will be critters everywhere. Almost all the time I have been there, I have encountered a black racer, which is a type of snake, but I just leave them alone, as it is their home and no harm has come from either parties :-).
There is more information before entering the site/trail labeled "Tortuga Trail" about the different species located in the area.
Happy trails !

I went on the Tortuga trail and it was nice but the blue path isn't maintained at all you can't take it without getting stuck in the trees

After walking every nature trail in the city of Boca and its outskirts multiple times over the years I stumbled onto this preserve through a random Google search. It was a nice surprise with some great hidden treasures, but it was loud and stinky due to the airport - which was a bit of a buzz kill. The red and green trails were clearly defined with an overabundance of trail markers that bordered on comical. The blue trail was sketchy and needs a team of people to get in there with machetes to clear it of all the invasive vines. Avoid the blue trail, it's a tangled mess. Overall worth a visit if you like nature walks and live in the area. Maybe try to time it with a quiet time at the airport.
