Mario's Ristorante Italiano

Excellent Italian food. So glad we stopped b6 and gave this place a try, seems like a hole in the wall but this place was so busy on a Tue evening! Highly recommend any of the pasta dishes, including veal masala and linguini with white clam sauce. The mussels are delicious too - super garlicky, hint of spice and briny with the addition of capers.

Mario's is a wonderful change of pace from all of the seafood restaurants on the beach. We were hoping to find a good Italian place close by and found Mario's. The atmosphere was great and the food was over the top wonderful. I had the linguine with clams, my wife had the baked ziti. We highly recommend Mario's.

this was one of the best meals we have had in our lives.. i had the Veal parmigiana and my wife had the linguine alfredo with chicken and shrimp. the soup and the bread were delicious.. i really recommend this restaurant for anybody in the area.. we will be back for sure.. i wish they had this restaurant back home in Orlando..

Great little Italian restaurant in Madiera Beach. Had dinner there to tonight. I has the pasta aribiata with Italian sausage and my brother had the veal parm. Both were excellent. The veal parm was so tender you could cut it with a fork. Ended the meal with tiramisu which was absolutely delicious!!! Would definitely recommend!

Quaint Italian restaurant. Food was outstanding! Everything was delicious, perfect portion sizes. Service was impeccable... all of the staff works together to make sure you are well taken care of! Will definitely stop again if we're back in Madeira Beach!

We called on Saturday evening at 5:45 inquiring about wait time -- no wait, hurray! Arrived at 6:05 and all tables occupied and perhaps one couple waiting ahead of us. Mario's is a small family business,only ten tables for four (established 1999). They also have "bar seating" 4 stools. A couple was sitting there (ordering food) so we took the remaining stools, ordered wine and beer, waited for an open table.

Their "bar" is really just an opening through which you get a great view of their small kitchen. The kitchen staff (3 or 4) was amazing! So friendly yet efficient filling their orders. We were seated in maybe 5 minutes, no time to drink, carried them to the table and placed our orders.
We started with a soup, a chicken broth with tortellini, spinach, and celery; a salad with their one dressing (house made balsamic vinaigrette). Both very good. I then ordered the Chicken Parmesan with Linguine and Marinara Sauce -- the cutlet was tender and cooked perfectly, the pasta and gravy just as good. My wife had the Linguine Alio Olio, pasta, tossed with garlic, olive oil, crushed red pepper and parsley. It too was excellent.

Most amazing was watching the staff wait on the customers. We stayed about 90 minutes -- the pace was perfect. Everyone was smiling, customers and staff. For the most part all ten tables were in use. As a table became available a new customer arrived. At no time was there a crowd of people standing around waiting to be seated. This is the way a restaurant should be run -- we look forward to returning!

Veal Parmesan the best ever!! Did not use my knife!! Wife's Chicken Parm the same!! Ask for the Homemade Mozzarella on your salad! Arrive at 5😁

Mario’s Italian restaurant absolutely a go to place in Madeira Beach!!! The food was outstanding and service was fantastic at reasonable prices!!! Don’t miss out get there and see for yourself!!! Get there early is a small place!!!

We were a party of 10 and all had a wonderful experience Saturday night at Mario’s. On our server’s advice we ordered multiple appetizers of Arancini and Fried Calamari, the Arancini was to die for. All entrees were excellent and served hot. We accompanied our dinner with reasonably priced bottles of Classico Chianti. For dessert all ordered either Tiramisu or Limoncello, the Limoncello was light as a feather and the Tiramisu was the best we’ve had this side of Carmines in NYC. Cappuccinos were the perfect ending to this exceptional dining experience. I should also mention Erica our gorgeous server who handled our large party with grace and professionalism.

Us four adults, two kids came in for dinner. As a light eater, I had the calamari and the caprese salad for dinner, and both were delicious. The other couple started with an antipasta salad, and it was loaded with a variety of scrumptious items-very hearty. The Zupa di pesce was dilectible-lots of shrimp, muscles, calamari, clams and Grouper - wow 👌. And finally, the Grouper Mario was fantastic. Our server Gina was fantastic. She took very good care of us.

The best fish dish I have ever tasted. I am thoroughly impressed. Homemade food which we enjoyed so much!

Yes it is true, the food is simply amazing here and abundant! Went with four people and we all had to take doggie bags home!

First the appetizer sausage antipasto was amazing. Never had sausage just melt, crumble in my mouth like this The sauce was mellow with hint of garlic and other spices. The sauce and sausage are not spicy. Warning!! Again this appetizer is enough for four to share!

The waitress informed me, when asked, that most people come for their veal parmigiano. I was hesitant, due to $22.00 price, but pleasantly surprised because the veal was HUGE!! Yes, covered 3/4 of my plate. Along with the spaghetti, I need to tell you I have two more dinners after eating this tonight!

The veal was lightly breaded and very tender. It was the most tender veal I have ever had. The sauce had quite the hint of garlic and the marinara had tomato homemade taste. It was outstanding.

One person had chicken picata and the capers, mushrooms and chicken were outstanding. The chicken, again lightly breaded, was also very moist. The white wine sauce was excellent.

This place is packed and tonight was no exception. We arrived a little before 6pm, got a seat but right after us there was a 20 minute wait.

The place is small with only 9 four person tables and one 3 person table up front. Their is a really cool observation, 4 person, bar type table where you can watch the kitchen work on food. I want to try this next time! They are only open 5pm to 9pm! In peak season lines start forming outside by 4:30pm FYI.

Waitstaff attentive to detail and kept water coming. There was only 2 waitstaff this night and they kept hustling but never forgot about you.

I will have food for the next two nights as there was plenty of food left. This was a huge bonus!

This is a tiny little restaurant, but the food is good, and the staff were great.

They don’t take reservations. It’s first come first serve but it’s worth the wait.

First time eating here and was really impressed. Cozy atmosphere that feels like you’re in a friends kitchen. The food was the best Italian I have ever had. Homemade. Delicious. Make sure you check it out.

This place is the real deal, pasta cooked to perfection. Authentic Italian recipes, great service.

The food was excellent, and you could tell that they genuinely cared that you liked it. I had read about the heat in the restaurant and figured it must have been a temporary problem with the AC. It apparently wasn't. My date and I were both sweating. I have recommended the restaurant to everyone I know, but I won't go back until the winter months.

We called Mario's for a dine in for 12 people July 18th in the evening. We got there at 9pm. Mario and his crew of wonderful amazing employees stayed open and served us all. My family came from NYC, Virginia, Tampa, N.C. to attend the wedding of my youngest son matt and his beautiful fiancee cristina. !! Everyone at Mario's was beyond awesome to us all. Treated us just like family to them all. It was such a wonderful evening, the food beyond fresh and totally delicious. ! A huge thank you to mario and his wonderful team of employees. ! We will never forget your wonderful kindness and hospitality. May God bless you all. !!

I had an amazing meal at Mario's Ristorante Italiano. I ordered a seafood dish that was simply divine, along with a plate of spaghetti and meatballs that tasted like a slice of Italy. To top it off, the clams were cooked to perfection. It was a fantastic Italian dining experience.
