Black Horse Resort Ranch

We've been here 3 1/2 months and are enjoying it. We've met lots of great people, made friends and enjoy wandering between campfires at night. Joann is friendly and accommodating. She tries to set your horses up close to your site. We had friends that brought their RV to visit for a couple of weeks and she went out of her way to put them in an adjacent spot for us. She's busy but if you're polite and patient she'll make sure you are accommodated. The regulars here are just as accommodating and always welcoming and helpful. We work from our RV and have found the place to be a very peaceful place to stay. It's surrounded by the Ocala Forest with lots of great trails to ride and walk right from the property. There's another park just west of here that is a great place to fill your propane tanks and a hardware store the other direction. We get our groceries and supplies in the Villages area nearby and there's plenty to do and see in the area.

Joanne is very accommodating and helpful. There is a full kitchen available for use. Very clean bathhouse and grounds. Large campsites and paddocks. We had two full days (two partial days) and didn't ride the same trail twice. One negative is it's close to a busy road so there is some traffic noise. I would recommend this place!🐴

I fully realize I'm a newcomer here (only a week), but I am really enjoying living here.

Miss Annie and Miss Dixie, my two canine superintendents, like it as well.

Joann is very helpful, and I'm looking forward to a long and pleasant stay here.

My only quibble, and it's a small one, is that there are no public showers for long term residents.

Awesome place this is our second time here and just booked for next year. Owner is very pleasant and easy to work with. Miles of trails. All sites have water and sewer. Can’t say enough about this place

Love this place!!! Clean camp group and the owner Joanne is the best!!! Trails are right nice and easily accessible from the camp ground. Stalland corrals for my horses are nice and clean. We enjoyed the swimming pool also!!

Me and my friends from Canada spent one week there. It is a super clean place. We enjoy the time we spend there, the owner Joann is super sweet person

I love this place. Joanne is a great hostess. You have water Electric and sewer, stalls or paddocks. Awesome trails in the Ocala National Forest.

Amazing well thought out horse Facility. Owner is super nice and accommodating. Rv sites have electric water and sewer, tons of stalls for horses and also small paddocks. Lighted arena, water buckets everywhere, hoses at every stall and paddock,Ocala trails right off property, pool,clean air conditioned bathrooms and showers. You couldn't ask for anything more!! We will definitely be back next years! Thank you!!

Excellent facility, with convenient restroom and snack bar near the arena. Very clean and organized. Borders the Ocala Forest, and people can bring their animals and stay for a week or for the winter.

What a wonderful experience!! The facility is clean and well kept. Barn provides great shelter from the elements for horses. A big plus is location. I love that the trail is immediately off the campground. The trails have variety from sand trails near the lake, clay, hills, woods, clean cut trails and trails off the beaten path that get you up close to nature. The pavilion offers a retreat from the weather and accommodates for large gatherings. I liked that there was precut wood for the campfire. The riding ring is awesome size for getting your horse sport needs met. I highly recommend Black Horse Resort Ranch.

really amazing property. can't believe how far it has come in such a short time. when the owner got there, it was bareeeee bare bones and a mess. now it has beautiful green grass, fences, buildings painted and kept nicely. love the picnic tables, love the fire pits. also has amazing trails, surrounded all the way around by the forest. plenty of shade trails and lots to see. the riding arena is incredible, with amazing footing. the owner is super accommodating and helpful and will do anything for anyone. she will turn the arena lights on any time, do cook outs, bring firewood, bugspray, whatever you need. everyone who visits in the winter is like a big family. really awesome place.

Absolutely love it here! Owner is fantastic and our daughter regularly attends the rodeo events..always clean and well organized!

One of the best places to visit. Bring the horses, the kids and just have some fun. Minutes from shopping and just over an hour away from Daytona Beach. Check it out. Lots of room for everyone with tons of trails to ride.

Awesome place to stay , Joanne the owner was wonderful. Very accommodating , and place is really nice. Brand new facility and had literally everything we needed , close to town and little store 5 min down the road !!! Loved it 💕💕💕

Great place 2nd year month long stay

This place is pretty neat. Regular rodeo events in their arena, direct horse trail access to the Ocala National Forest. Camping, RV hookups as well as horse boarding while there.

Had a awesome time at Black Ranch, Joann is so sweet and accommodating. Great accommodations, awesome trails, nice stalls and paddocks. Wash rack, so relaxing and peaceful , we will be back

Greatest place to camp, ride & visit! Joanne has done so much to enhance the place to make it even more wonderful each time we come here!!

Very comforting and relaxed the most beautiful skies with the active cosmos last night in the resort being very equestrian accommodating beautiful place to detach from this fast pace of society relax in watch a very beautiful natural light show from God thanks Greg and jolly see you soon
