La Hacienda Restaurant and Supermarket

Random opinion on the internet here but I’m throwing this out there. The best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever had! Awesome food. I hate to tell everyone because the locals already know. I show up at 6p on a Tuesday and I’m waiting in line outside the restaurant with fellow locals. Fresh food. Nice atmosphere. Amazing deal! Visit the Market to get fresh marinated meats to make yourself at home!it’s been decades since I’ve seen Coca Cola in 2L or 3L bottles. But to see sugar Coca Cola. That’s a rare treat.

Edit. I’m back again and tried the carnitas with molcajete. OmG. Amazing Food. I’m ready to slap someone’s mom.

Edit2: I don’t get a nickel to praise this place. I’ve asked every Mexican restaurant I’ve been to if they has molcajete sauce and no one has it! I looked around Houston and San Antonio recently and I’m still craving my next visit back.

Authentic Mexican and great daily specials. Very affordable - we love Taco Tuesdays. They don’t have a liquor license is the only con for this place but if you like a good beer or sangria or wine then you are all set! The food is worth skipping that margarita for (they do serve wine based margaritas I just don’t like wine margaritas) Give this place a try - I also like that they have a grocery store next door that is VERY clean and organized and has great prices as well!

I got the mega burrito and it was AMAZING. For 10.99, it’s a steal!!! They are the best Mexican food arguably in Fl, definitely the best in central Florida. If you are in Ocala, please visit their restaurant and supermarket! Their supermarket has some of the best pastries I didn’t have the opportunity to show here, but trust me it’s WORTH IT. All in all, they are the best.

One of my favorite restaurants, the food is wonderful. It's one stop shop with a great atmosphere. Highly recommend for the entire family.

This place was incredible. Truly such an unforgettable experience. The quality of the ingredients just elevates the dishes they carry. I usually go to Mexican restaurant where the lettuce is wilted and the lemons are dry and no juice comes out. The veggies in our plates were fresh and crunchy. The limes were so juicy!

We came in on a Saturday evening and were quickly seated.My bf had a mega burrito and I had the carne asada tacos. My tacos were so tender and melt in your mouth. I love that they add an extra corn tortilla. The refried beans were creamy and delicious. The rice was seasoned well and usually when I have rice places have this bland yellow rice but this was so good. It was such a great compliment to the meal.

The service was quick and our server was attentive. She was able to describe certain meals to us which we loved the selection of meals and there was so much to choose from. With less than 30 min we had our meals delivered to us. The chips and salsa were perfect. Everything tasted like it was made with love .

I absolutely love Mexican food and being a truck driver I've had it all over the country. This is the best Mexican restaurant in Marion county hands down. The prices are great and you get a quality product, which is hard to find these days.

Best darn Mexican food I've had. Good service as well.The shrimp appetizer is fantastic.

Amazing food. Fresh delicious. I live in Gainesville but I travel to Ocala to meet with friends and eat there. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. For the best in Mexican cuisine please try La Hacienda. I recommend it highly.

Had an excellent meal with wonderful service. We were in around 1 pm and service was quick. The chips are served with 3 sauces: regular salsa, salsa verde and the winner, a roasted jalapeño with garlic and onions. Had a nice little kick that woke up the taste buds. We ordered from the lunch menu and the portions were just the right size.

Browsed the adjoining store and found great selections of packaged food, baked goods and fruits and veggies.

Love this place for quality and quantity! Meat was piled on even on a Tuesday for one Dollar Tacos! Was probably 8 X the quantity of beef compared to Taco Bell tacos.
Cynthia, our server was just amazing! She attended to our every need with superb efficiency. We took 2 guests with us who were also pleasantly impressed!

Update: The molcajete salsa is the best!! Highly recommend the chicken tacos!!

I am so happy we found this restaurant and supermarket! It's the first truly authentic Mexican restaurant and grocery we've been to since leaving Jalisco just over a year ago. The red chicken enchiladas were delicious, the salsas were very tasty, and the crunchy totopos (chips) were freshly made from thick corn tortillas - just the way they are served in Guadalajara. The grocery store has an excellent selection of packaged herbs and spices, and a wide selection of dried chiles. This is where I will come to purchase salsa makings, freshly made tortillas, fresh Mexican cheeses, and taco makings. Now my new life in west central Florida is complete!

This restaurant get a 5 Star Rating for appealing presentation, tasty meal, and quality of their food. Our meal was hearty and delicious.
My husband and I met our friends at this restaurant. We are first timers at La Hacienda. We arrived minutes early and decided to grab a table. Our server, her name is Sandra. Pretty lady, appeared very knowledgeable in her trade, however failed to demonstrate hospitality and customer service.
She appeared to get annoyed when I requested to wait for my friends to arrive before I placed my order.

Let me be specific, she spoke to us correctly however she exhibited rudeness by not engaging with us as a server. She was not friendly and or welcoming. She was not really earning her tip. She did the bare minimum- she took our orders, proceeded to take the menus while my friend was still ordering. Then brought us one complimentary bowl of tortilla chips and sauce even though we were a party of four with two couples ordering separately.

Sandra could have earned herself a nice tip, would have had returning customers had she provided us a better dining experience had she been friendlier

¡Increíble! Food is always delicious, especially the tacos! Super friendly staff and great vibes keep me coming back. The market that’s attached to the restaurant is also extremely cool, and has tons of stuff you can’t find anywhere else!

We stopped by for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by everything. Great food, friendly staff, quick service, terrific prices.

Excellent food, friendly people, reasonable prices. Don't let the unimpressive outside put you off - this is a family place, not a fancy place. We had the enchiladas and the carne asada, both GREAT. After you finish, step into the little grocery store next door and buy a self-serve plastic bag full of excellent turnovers and other pastries for your coffee snack later.

Fantastic food. Warm and inviting staff and a clean environment. I brought friends and family here and everyone was pleased.

Some of the best Mexican food I have ever eaten! Service was fantastic and prices are fair. The attached grocery store had a large selection of items that are not easily found in traditional stores!

Let me preface this with saying that Mexican food isn't even close to my favorite cuisine. After eating here, I've completely changed my mind. The horchata is delightful, the different types of salsa are packed with flavor and the empanadas are delicious. Visit the cute grocery store after a meal; the prices are reasonable and there was even freshly cut mangos for sale! This restaurant is a must visit for anyone in the area.

Always happy with this restaurant. The staff is great and the food is delicious! Highly recommend this place especially on taco Tuesday and quesadilla Thursday ☺

Absolutely delicious food!!!! Probably the best horchata I’ve ever had. Couldn’t believe how quickly the food came out. Very friendly servers. Cannot wait to go back.
