Island Fresh Market Ami

Wonderful fish market! Super fresh and delicious. The grouper and gulf shrimp stole the show. They fresh steam shrimp within minutes (consider going with Old Bay seasoning), and they were spectacular. Very friendly and helpful owners/staff.

Love this market! We recently stayed at Holmes Beach and our last night, we wanted to have seafood by the beach.
We purchased 3 lbs of peel n eat shrimp; they steamed them for us in old bay and lemon (they have many flavors to choose from), we also got crab cakes and snow crab. The staff was excellent in recommending flavors and shrimp (they had 3 different to choose from) as well as recommending their key lime pie. The pie was so tart and probably the best key lime I’d ever had.

Ordered shrimp for a special occasion dinner. For a small fee per pound the shrimp was cleaned, deveined and steamed and they were just outstanding. The clerks are knowledgeable and very helpful. Our neighbors bought fresh fish and said it was wonderful. This is a nice seafood market.

What a great find! If you are looking for fresh seafood on AMI, look no further. This place has the best! They have a wonderful selection of seafood, as well as, several different sauces, dips, jams/jellies, desserts, etc- all locally made. If you want fresh seafood that’s where u should go. Forget about the restaurants Great place, shrimp was very fresh and the crab soup was very nice. Prices were very reasonable. We got the pink and the gulf shrimp both were great and they steamed it for us with old bay was really yummy
Would have definitely gone there more if I found out about it earlier but for sure will be going back.

Best seafood gumbo ever! And key lime pie that is spectacular! I like it tart and it’s all that!

Just the best experience here! The owners accommodated a last minute low country boil for my family (which was delicious) and yummy steamed shrimp and cocktail sauce. Highly recommend! Will be back :)

I purchased 1.5 pounds of grouper for $36. It is definitely on the pricey side, but was the best fresh fish I had ever had!

ABSOLUTELY the BEST & FRESHEST SEAFOOD AROUND….the tuna 🍣 is beyond the freshest right off the boat I think it’s heart ❤is still beating when you buy it!!! You can eat it raw or cooked it’s that fresh!!!!
If anyone BI€%£H about prices it’s totally justified for the highest quality of FRESH seafood not frozen or yesterdays catch 😜

The fish and shrimp are always fresh, the service is great! They always provide service with a smile, super helpful and very professional. I usually get either the local Grouper, Snapper or Gulf Shrimp, always delicious. They now have prepared meals, crab and corn chowder, Manhattan clam chowder, seafood gumbo, and fish in Moqueca Sauce is delicious.

This place is so good! I had the crab cake sand which and it was awesome and wasn’t dry at all and the bun was even toasted and had a bit of crunch to it which made it even better. 10/10 recommend

What a gem! We've shopped Island Fresh Market several times since discovering this shop and it never disappoints. The staff is helpful and friendly, and the food is divine! From fresh Gulf shrimp to their homemade dips... absolutely scrumptious. We are lucky to have this little market on the island. What an amazing little market! This is a must stop shop for the freshest catches on the island. Their crab cakes are amazing, definitely the best crab cakes I’ve ever had and one of the best meals I’ve made! We’ve also had their shrimp, which they give to you freshly steamed and they were delicious; and they have some of the best key lime pie, a special family recipe. Awesome find, I’ll definitely be stopping in soon.

Do not miss this hidden gem on the he Island! I buy the shrimp, grouper, salmon and fish dip once or twice a week when I am on the Island. The convenience and quality is priceless to me. I have also purchased the Moqueca Brazilian fish stew and been impressed with the quality of the grouper and creamy seasoning. Absolutely delicious!! The Mediterranean shrimp power Bowl with quinoa, kale and cucumber had a delicious Greek dressing and black olives. It comes in a large take out box. A great idea for a beach or bay picnic! The orange blossom honey was another sweet surprise that will please children of all ages! A great gift for friends. Lots of other gift items, also. Have fun shopping!

Visited this shop while on vacation and was impressed. We purchased amberjack and their in-house blackening blend and it was absolutely excellent. Seared on all sides and then finished with the lid on for a few minutes. If you're staying somewhere with a kitchen, I strongly recommend buying you're own fish from Island Fresh and cooking yourself. It will be better and cheaper than any of the local restaurants.

Incredible seafood market, they’ll steam your shrimp to order with a selection of seasonings. Lovely people. Gonna miss this place when I go back home!

Are you waiting in line to get into a restaurant on Anna Maria Island? Go to this seafood market and cook the best seafood you have ever had! Everything is fresh...I usually arrive between 12-2pm to see what has been brought in from the boats. They have small containers of ground spices (so convenient for tourists who don’t want a big jar!) The last time I was here, I tried the fresh grouper and purchased their Caribbean jerk rub. We put it on foil on the grill, rubbed with olive oil and that jerk seasoning....in the whole week, it was the best seafood that I had! My family loved their handmade crabcakes for purchase which we baked for less mess! You can’t go wrong with their fresh gulf shrimp and a little old bay seasoning, boiled, chilled and served with cocktail sauce. I made another fresh fish on our last vacation that was a local fish with their citrus rub 3 years ago...my sister, who never eats fish, tried it and loved it. Go here! So many things to purchase and enjoy on your vacation in beautiful Anna Maria.
