La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Virginia Beach

Pets are allowed for an extra $25, which in my opinion is a great deal considering a lot of hotels in the area don't accept pets AT ALL unless it's a service animal.

The room was nice.

Breakfast is available in the morning and was okay,. The only hot food is waffles though. Sausages are cold. Eggs are cold and not that tasty, even with salt and pepper. Coffee and juice is available.
There is a small convenience section that offers snacks, juice, water and medicine (pain, allergy, migraine), small sewing kit, etc.

There is an ice machine.

The tvs are smart so you can connect your Netflix account, which my son loved.

Restaurants are close. Chichos is good for pizza, but don't get the wings (mine were so hard the meat was crunchy... Like, harder than a kettle potato chip. Subway is near also and 7 eleven.

The boardwalk is a block over, which is right next to the beach. So, GREAT location, good service, comfortable room.

This dog friendly hotel is only one block from the beach. It was one of the cleanest places we’ve stayed in VA Beach and is in great location. The staff were all very friendly and professional. Even though it is dog friendly, and we did see several other dogs, we did not hear much noise. We will stay here again.

Had a great stay! My complaints are more so observations and I would tell anyone if you’re on a budget and want to go to Virginia Beach this place is a great place! Obviously there’s work to be done and I can tell they’re making changes and imagine it’ll be great. The only complaint I really have would be our room door acting up from time to time. We did get stuck in the elevator, that was a fun experience that I think made my stay more enjoyable. The front desk staff was super friendly, they were even okay with our group having a dinner with in the lobby area. Location to the beach is ideal! And the breakfast is great! Will certainly stay here again during my next visit!

Nice old hotel, cool ambience. Had a push button phone, old school kind. Rooms were nice and so were the people

Perfect stay for the price point.
Crossed 2 streets to get to the beach. Breakfast included is a plus(waffles, sausage, muffins, cereal, oatmeal) within walking distance of many shops and restaurants, there's a Harris teeter across the street.

We arrived late after a long night of driving and the front desk agent was super friendly and informative. Its not the busy season so the room was very affordable. It was also very clean and she was able to put us in the room with the best view because we didn't have a dog with us (love them but I'm allergic, so Im so happy they separate the rooms!) All the staff we encountered was super friendly. The beach is about a block away so anyone complaining about not being on the beach should just shell out more at a neighboring hotel or sleep on a raft because the location is perfect with lots to do in the vicinity. Highly recommend.

Very nice motel. Staff is excellent. Housekeeping staff works super hard. Motel is cleaner than most. Breakfast is very good and plenty of it. Coffee is to die for good in carafes 24 hours a day usually very fresh in in the evening also. I can't think of one complaint. When in Virginia beach we will stay again. Hats off to the staff that makes the place a 5 star.

This place is great. On the beach but not right on the beach. Good walking distance so you don't get all the noise. The staff was outstanding and very helpful. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Loved the pool area too. Good in house breakfast. You really want to stay here!!!

Had a great time loved we we're right across the street from Harris Teeter, Subway and other shops

We had a great stay here for 4 nights. This is a modern hotel. It exceeded my expectations in their service and cleanliness. All the staff we encountered were very friendly. Our room was a nice size for 2 adults and 2 children and we were just a block over from Atlantic Ave-a short 3 min walk to the beachfront. The continental breakfast was pretty nice with a variety of choices for everyone and it was nice having great-tasting coffee available all day in the lobby. I did kind of wish breakfast lasted a little longer into the morning (maybe until 9:30 or 10) but it didn't ruin the trip at all. There was plenty of parking as well and I also liked that after a certain time you can only enter the hotel by using your room key. A little added security.

Called ahead to have a roll away bed in room, staff was very nice and said that it wasn't a problem, wasn't there when checked in but ended up getting it after 3 tries so it worked out. Rooms are nice and breakfast is awesome. The staff were so nice and accommodating. They were so pleasant and would do anything to help you.

Stayed here after driving in from out of state. Rooms have been upgraded. My room was clean and comfortable. Parking lot was well-lit and I felt safe here. The lady at the front desk was incredibly nice (the overnight one). They have drinks and some microwave dinners for sale in the lobby. A lot of food options nearby to order or pickup (we doordashed). Would stay here again if needed. Lobby is beautiful.

You have to pay for parking!!!!! $15 a day!!!! I think this is insane! $200 for a room for one night PLUS a parking fee???? Never again!

Really happy with our stay here! Just wanted a place to crash for a couple of nights on a cross country trip. We called around all the beachfront hotels and they wanted to charge us an extra $100 for our two dachshunds 🙄
So we decided to settle on La Quinta a block back from the beach. Wow am I so glad we did! This hotel seemed pretty new, super clean, a minute walk from the beach, safe, friendly staff. Oh and the dogs were free 😁
Had no complaints and would happily stay here again!

Cons: extremely small bathroom. Didn’t bother me but for larger people it might.
Quicker to take steps then the elevator. Look like it needs an upgrade

We booked this hotel room for a week and completely enjoyed our stay. The best thing about this hotel is that you can pay at property instead of pre paying or putting a deposit down like most hotels in the area. The first experience I had was with front desk clerk Dreamon McCoy and he is amazing! He was able to check us in an hour early and is so polite. He will drop what he's doing to get towels, look for extra pillows, etc. All the employees were nice but Dreamon went above and beyond with his service and kindness. They have free parking for 1 car per room which is always a plus. The lobby is very big with a lot of seating and the room we got was very clean, spacious, and well decorated; plenty of outlets for electronics. The breakfast is ok; serves waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits, yogurt, cereal, muffins, fruit, and oj/apple juice. They have a little "market" where you can buy drinks, snacks, and certain toiletries. The pool is great with the perfect temperature and the location is amazing!! The pool has plenty of comfortable law chairs with tables and chairs as well. There is also a grocery store behind the hotel which was very convenient. Of course there are a couple down sides such as the bathroom is small, the elevators are slow, little drawer space, and the room only had 2 pillows per bed. I would recommend bringing pillows if you need more than 1; however, these downsides were not enough for me to drop my 5 star rating. They are pet friendly with dog cleaning stations outside as well as smoking pits to put cigarettes in. I would 100% stay here in the future.

The service was amazing the rooms are pretty good and the food is decent

Finding a decent place pet friendly is hard to come by so let me tell you about my stay. Due to covid things are a little different as far as pool and breakfast however the rooms where incredibly clean. Having prior cleaning experience from a high end hotel it was perfect and I mean that. I assume I was placed on the pet floor and not 1 pet hair stain chew mark nothing.The hallway didn't smell of urne or anything. Very nice.

Fabulous place. The hotel is so clean and accommodating. Pet policies are amazing! They welcome all pets. We have two large pitbull babies and they were welcomed (which is not common). Staff are very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping staff go above and beyond. Hotel is up to date, newer, and the beds are so comfy. Highly recommend and so do the pups!
