Stayed here not expecting much based on the reviews but was pleasantly surprised. I’m here with my teenage daughter looking at colleges and spending some time at Busch gardens. Location is great. Parking is convenient. Staff is very friendly. Upon checking in, I was given a coupon book and names of local restaurants. Now I’ve stayed in Williamsburg multiple times in the past, and no one has ever done this. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The pool is nice, indoors and open till midnight. Breakfast is good. I love me some waffles. I find the hotels in Williamsburg a bit overpriced, but this is a good value for your money. Hope this helps.

This was a good hotel, clean, needs updating as carpet is worn on stairs & bleach was spilled on 3rd floor which damaged carpet badly.
Service was great! Michelle was wonderful, the young Hispanic male on cleaning crew was awesome. Hotel didn't smell like chlorine despite have a very nice indoor pool. Breakfast provided several options, oatmeal, homemade waffle, great muffins, eggs, turkey sausage, breads, cereals, juices, milk, hard boiled eggs, coffee, etc.
All in all, I give hotel a 5. Would stay here again & highly recommend. Less than a mile from the Colonial Williamsburg Visitor Center. Fairly close to everything.

Pleasantly surprised! We are currently in the middle of our visit and I am writing this review from the hotel. We are SO pleased with this hidden gem and will be back…. We waited too long to book a room and our options were limited, but we ended up here and are glad we did!

The front desk staff… every last one of them is so kind and helpful. A very nice woman got us checked in upon our arrival and she was prepared to answer our questions and just incredibly nice.

The room… clean!!! The only thing is, the bathroom needs *minimal* improvement. Our shower curtain keeps sliding open on its own and there is a light that flickers but otherwise, we are as happy as could be. We haven’t bothered to bring up the flickering light as it’s not affecting our stay negatively, but if we had brought it up I’m sure they would have addressed it promptly.

The pool… we didn’t use it, but I did go look and it seems very nice! Everything was clean. Pool towels are available upon request.

The breakfast… typical hotel breakfast, but the breakfast area is clean and has a pleasant vibe. Bagels, eggs, toast, bacon, cereal, coffee, waffles, juice and more.

Thank you for a lovely stay! Looking forward to returning on our next trip to BGW and WCUSA.

I stayed 2 nights at this location, and I was very pleased with my experience. I could tell that the staff have worked hard to keep their facilities clean and tidy. It was also very quiet, which is always appreciated. The staff were courteous and helpful and very professional, which was refreshing. The breakfast was adequate and appreciated. My only complaint was the showerhead. It was just a disaster, but considering everything else was lovely, I am willing to overlook it; after all, no place is heaven on earth. Thank you for making my stay in the Williamsburg area such a delight.

My wife and I just enjoyed a time at the Country Inn Suites in Williamsburg. Our room was very nice, as was the whole hotel. We enjoyed a nice fitness center, indoor pool and hot tub. The hot breakfast was great with plenty to eat. A fine lobby with newspaper and an outdoor porch with rocking chairs and ceiling fans. Probably the best part was our host Anne who directed us all over the city and provided us with towels after our swim. Anne and the staff as well as the building get straight A's in our book. Thanks again, Craig and Mary V.

Just what we needed for a family with young kids!! Clean simple comfortable rooms. Free hot and plentiful breakfast to include cereal options, fruit, yogurt, eggs, waffles, bacon, pastries, bagels, hard boiled eggs, variety of juices, coffee and tea. We thoroughly enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub (pool was relatively warm and even I didn’t mind getting in). The pool had a shallow side so my 4 yr old could even stand. The staff was gracious and helpful. Within walking distance to probably 10 restaurants and next to a 711 for any last minute forgotten items. To be honest there a few cosmetic items they could address (pool towels were a bit frayed) BUT those things don’t change our experience and I’m assuming allow them to save a little money and they pass those savings to us. So I didn’t pay a ton and got a lot of value. We had a best time and will be back. Thank you to mgmt and staff for making this perfect!

my family had a great experience staying here. We loved the pool that is open until midnight (!)
Hot breakfast had make your own waffles, eggs were microwaved kind and not that great but who can afford eggs these days?
WIFI was a joke and yes the room heater and ac is old and maybe needs a good kick (sarcasm) and maybe floors are a little grimy but overall thought the place was clean and no we didn't have any creepy crawlers

I stayed there for 2 nights. The room was clean and quite and no odor or bugs. I'm not sure what hotel the '1/5' reviewers were staying, but for the price, the hotel is a real value. WiFi fast and easy connect and the front desk courteous. Nice little fitness room and pool (open to 12AM). Breakfast was ok. My room was made up after the first night - which is very rare these days. Overall, its a good stay and a great price.

We stayed here for one night (January) after coming back from VA Beach. The location is very central, not far from the main attractions in Williamsburg and also not far from Yorktown, our stop for the next day.
When we arrived we had to wait a bit to actually check in but everything went smoothly. The room was clean and just like we expected. The only thing is there was no freezer section in the refrigerator so we couldn't put our cooler packs in the freezer overnight. But really no big deal, they have an ice machine and we filled up on ice the next day.
Since my kids (6+8) love water we decided to go down to the pool. It was so nice and the pool was so warm. Definitely made us stay in for a while. The hot tub was nice too.
The pool hours were 6am till 12am.
The hotel didn't seem very busy.
Breakfast (6:30- 10am) the next morning was good. There were eggs, turkey bacon, waffles, bagels, toast, cereal, milk, the juice machine was out of order. They also had coffee and tea. Everything was wrapped individually due to COVID so there's quite a bit of trash accumulating after you are done.
The overall experience was very good and I would stay here again.

Great experience! Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly. Everything went smoothly. Great location. Good value for the money. Two recommendations: (1) the pool chemicals seemed a bit strong (the kids complained it burned their eyes... and we swim in a lot of various pools, so it was stronger than usual and needs to be balanced) and (2) there were some small, black ants on/around the nightstand between the two beds and in the bathroom. Simple problems, with simple fixes... they just need to be addressed to make this an all-star experience.

Excellent! I took my kids to stay at the hotel during holidays and had a great experience. The services are better than expected and it costed. The hotel manager and housekeeping staff work very hard.

Also, the workout room has Peloton equipment- which is always a plus.

I was there for two nights for a family wedding, and it was delightful. It's an older property but it is well managed and despite quirks (squeaky doors, etc), it felt homey and comfortable. The staff was great - we had baskets for the wedding guests (I hope the staff doesn't groan when they read this...) , and they were champs about finding missing baskets and rerouting them. It was an excellent place to stay and I would definitely stay there again. The breakfast was more than adequate, and room was roomy and comfortable.

The hotel is great. That's why we decided to extend the stay.
But never book via PRICELINE as they are very misleading. The issue has ruined our trip and vacations. I hope i can speak to someone with the human brain to understand our concerns. It has been the whole day i was talking to many representatives, and no one could understand that we are only requesting to receive an email about the canceled booking from another hotel as we need to present it to our company!
I gave all the same information 5 times to all their customers' services line through calls, chats, e-mails, and texts, but nobody can be precised to their response.
Even their app is not user-friendly.
Worst customer service i have ever experienced.

We were very pleased with out stay at this Country inn & Suites in the Williamsburg Historic district. The staff was very helpful and friendly and helped make our stay a pleasant one. Our room on the third floor was very quiet and clean for the most part but nothing major that changed our overall opinion of the hotel. We came with the understanding that the pool was not available and that this was an older property. I give kudos to the staff for staying cool and pleasant even though some of the guests were rather rude. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting the historic district in Williamsburg.

Perfect! Loved everything! Breakfast is served until 10 am, indoor pool is open till 11 pm!!! Room looked recently renovated, new furniture. Bath/shower style is... peculiar lol (at first I thought the walls are dirty but it's by design, everything is very clean!). Great location, 6 min to Colonial Williamsburg, 9 min to Trader Joe's. Foyer is tastefully decorated for Christmas, staff is very friendly. Highly recommend!!! Kids loved it!

Michelle, you are the best. So helpful with all of our questions. And such a great laugh. One recommendation would be to turn heater on in pool before October.

Prices were very reasonable, the breakfast was good but most of all Michelle, not only does she instantly make you feel right at home but when you need something she drops everything to help you. Give that woman a raise.
