Best Western Historic Area Inn

I had a very pleasant experience here. I stayed for one night. The hot breakfast was tasty and well cooked. Andrea The receptionist and the staff were friendly and efficient. Thr common areas are tastefully decorated and the whole building was very clean. Great quality for the low price!

Front desk was very kind, unsure of the name of the worker but she was very polite. Gave extra towel and even toothbrushes as we forgot to bring ours. Only stayed 1 night but the room was very clean. The vending machine on the 3rd floor would not bend items in the top row, which was a slight shame, but didn't damage my experience and is not the fault of the hotel. Breakfast was also very filling.

Best Western has clean rooms and a great breakfast, everything we look for when traveling. P.S. also has an indoor pool and hottub.

The staff was AMAZING, the smiled from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. They were helpful and accommodating in every way. The Breakfast is good for a hotel, they have several options and the menu is posted up for the week. Rooms were a little smaller than what we are used to, but they were clean and comfy. Thank you for an amazing stay!!!

This hotel is perfectly located near Bushgarden. The room is not big but very clean. Smell fresh too, no pet or mildew smell. I love the spacious bathroom. The full breakfast buffet is amazing. Complete, clean and a lot of choices... the only thing missing are pancake machine and toaster.

For a moderately priced hotel - you can't beat it. First, the front desk staff was super accommodating. I'm not sure which hotel the negative reviewers were staying at but this BW was clean and except for the usual hallway noise, nice and quiet. The fitness room was sparse but the indoor pool more than adequate.
Breakfast did the job. Good assortment of cold and hot - fruit and juice. And yes, while there was no daily room service, this is the way it now is in the hospitality world. Will book here again on my next trip

My family and I travel from Roanoke almost every other weekend to see my husband and our 4 year old for 1 night. Prior to February 2022, we had a good handleful of not so awesome stays under our belt. Our family expects to step into a clean room with no bugs and clean sheets, so on and so forth. Since our very first booking at Best Western after Valentine's Day 2022, we haven't booked anywhere else! Best Western has nabbed themselves a very loyal customer for life! Their rooms are not only clean and bug free but they are spacious for my family to move around in! The heated pool and hot tub have always been very clean and are always working, plus an added bonus is that it's indoors so the kids can still swim if it's raining outside! Their staff are AMAZING and always super hospitable, ready to help with whatever! Their breakfast is also so good! Having been to other hotels offering their version of "Continental Breakfast" which turns out to be pretty non - existent because they have may have some toast or bagels, with dry cereal and milk and then of course Breakfast Drinks but Best Western has got all of that PLUS more! They lay out a whole breakfast feast for their guests, you definitely don't leave that breakfast area hungry or disappointed! Overall I love my stays at Best Western and my family loves their stays at Best Western! Occasionally people get thrown off by the price saying it's too expensive to stay for just 1 night but it's not. Honestly, the price is totally worth paying for when it comes down to most important thing is my family's comfort level at the end of the night. I also appreciate the sense of safety and security that staying at this hotel brings me, all because they do their job 1,000,000,000 times better instead of sleeping or playing on their phones, they are always alert and ready ! Thank you Best Western!

From the staff at the front desk to the housekeeping members on the floor, everyone was so friendly and eager to help. During this week we expected a continental breakfast would be served but were very pleasantly surprised with the selection they had which included bacon or sausage (depending on the day), scrambled eggs, yogurt and cereal, danish or muffins. Coffee, tea and juice, of course. Our 2 boys were very happy with breakfast each day. Most of our time was spent in the local attractions but we did use the indoor pool a few times and visited the fitness room a few days too. The fitness room is small with a treadmill, stepper and bike with weights but, realistically, is more than enough for us being on vacation.
Overall A very positive experience

Front desk staff extremely friendly. Breakfast attendant somewhat rude. Lobby is clean and beautiful, as well as breakfast area. Breakfast had nice offerings and nice quality for a free/included breakfast. Pool and hot tub was very enjoyable, except one day when we faced rude guest behavior with a large group being obnoxious and unsafe around us and our toddler. But that’s not the hotel’s fault. Room was clean and comfortable. If staying more than two nights, they do offer some housekeeping services. WiFi was decent the entire three night stay. Close proximity to good spots to eat as well as area attractions. Highly recommend and definitely would stay again. Check out our video on this location on our channel on YouTube.

Super clean, nice pool area, *tons* of restaurants and shops immediately nearby. Affordable vending machines throughout along with coin operated laundry and even a few arcade games. Staff was friendly and helpful when we politely asked for an earlier checkin after our long trip here - the room wasn't immediately available but we got a call when it was ready 15 minutes later! It was greatly appreciated. Take the stairs if you're able to, though - the elevator was incredibly slow - our only qualm after long day when our room was on the top floor.

This is such a nice hotel. The lobby was clean and check in was easy. The room was a king size suite with a jacuzzi tub. There was a vent style cover covering a hole in the bathroom wall so I could hear everything going on in the bathroom next door (mainly that customer complaining about a loud noise coming from my room - she was probably talking about the bathtub jets as they were super loud). I left the room briefly and upon my return my electronic key card did not work. I had to go back down and get that resolved. The clerk was friendly and helpful. I did notice when I left the next morning at around 5:30 there was two employees in the lobby having a very loud conversation and laughing very loudly. When I returned about 30 minutes later they were still sitting around chatting. I did find this slightly inappropriate seeing as how there are guest rooms right off the lobby and it was super early. The breakfast selection was fantastic and the food was hot. I did notice upon check out that the cleaning crew was playing their rap music very loud while cleaning rooms. Again, inappropriate considering it could disturb the guests. All in all, I recommend this place and will consider staying here again in the future.

The location is excellent as it is very close to the outlets, Bush Gardens, Water Country USA, and various restaurants. Their breakfast has a good selection, and the staff is very friendly. The only 2 issues is the 2nd elevator needs to get fixed, and they should check plus clean the air filters in the cooling/heating units in the rooms a little more. It would also be nice if they had safes in the room too.

Yolanda, the representative at the front desk is wonderful! Expedia did not send over our reservation and resolving took a significant amount of time. Yolanda was helpful, patient and persistent. Throughout the process, she was friendly and professional with us and other guests. Room was clean and everything worked properly. Breakfast was well stocked and staffed. Great visit all around.

This hotel was fantastic! We stayed for 6 days and really enjoyed ourselves. The location is convenient to many area restaurants, attractions, and shops. The staff were pleasant and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The pool was clean and well-maintained and the jacuzzi was heaven!

This place was great for our family vacation. The staff went beyond what you would expect considering they are in a pandemic and still have precautions to take. The housekeeping ladies were very accommodating in providing us what we needed in towels and other supplies. As I watched the employees all of them were constantly working and accommodating guests, as well as their regular duties of upkeep. If I were to make one suggestion it would be that the pool and jacuzzi may need cleaned a little better - this based on appearance of the water. Thank you all for a nice stay!

Incredible staff and stay!!!

It all started with the lady who answered the phone at 800# rewards desk. She was super helpful. I needed help with adjoining rooms, etc... It was my wife's birthday and my son and his friend were coming along. She made 2 calls to the hotel while I waited. I made the reservation on points. She passed all the information o n to the hotel. We were able to check in early and everything we needed was done! I was told by Vanessa at the front desk the "big boss" made it all work out. Outstanding job!!! We'll be back if we are ever in town. I hope you can pass this along to all those that helped. I didn't get all of the names

Surprisingly not bad! When I had stayed there over the weekend, I thought it was odd they had availability when other hotels were booked.. But I enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi, people were nice at the front desk and the room was clean. I traveled from Philly and after the flooding stress last week i needed to get away and was cool with staying here. I'd come back.

The front desk was so courteous and sweet. Room was clean. Pool was nice. Great place for a short stay. Had everything we needed including a fridge and microwave in the room. Also the included breakfast was awesome. Great variety of delicious food. We had a great time. Thank you for making our vacation a great one.

Family of 6, last minute change of plans meant we booked only a few days prior to arrival. Check in was a breeze, and staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, and extra measures were taken to keep everybody safe during the pandemic. Felt secure, and was pleasantly surprised to see the indoor pool, hot tub, and gym open for guests, even during this crazy time. Will definitely be staying here again.

We stayed late march 2023, great hotel for the price. Rooms are clean, huge indoor pool with hot tub. Nice hot breakfast included
