Residence Inn by Marriott Williamsburg

We spent a night in this place in our last visit to Williamsburg and will definitely come back. Checkin experience was awesome, the room was huge and very clean. And the place is right in the middle of the dining scene in Williamsburg, across the street from Food for Thought and a few blocks from Le Yaca, our favorite places in town. We stayed in other hotels in the area but this one for sure has been the nicest.

Love this place! Stayed for two weeks over Christmas holidays. The room was perfect: clean, comfortable, quiet, well laid out. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, cookware, oven, full-size fridge, even dishwasher detergent. Saved us a ton on restaurants. The dining area had lots of choices for breakfast, and it had lots of snacks for the rest of the day. Most notably, they had bottled water, fruit, and ice cream bars. The brewed coffee was better than just about any hotel I've stayed at. It even had a laundry room for the guests. Would return in a heartbeat.

This hotel when you walk in is very clean! You are greeted with a smile from a staff member. All the girls are great Elena, Makayla, & Whitney. We are here for a job long term. You get home sick but this staff even GM Conor will go above & beyond to make you feel welcome. Breakfast is great by Mr Ray. I did need maintenance which Joe came in immediately. He handled the small problem & was in & out. This location is right in the heart of Williamsburg Va. Close to everything.

Overall very clean and friendly staff. No towel service without asking. Breakfast was adequate and during certain hours there is free ice cream. Very Noisy with Dogs. Dogs and cats are welcome with pet treats available at the front desk. Some individuals didn’t control their pets in the hallways and assume others should not care about their pet going up to strangers and or jumping on strangers. There appears to be a smoking area next to the pool area and there was an unpleasant smoking odor in the pool area. We heard a dog crying and barking in the room next door for hours. There is an Adequate laundry room for private use. A very limited gym… over all very noisy with pets. Personally I leave my pets at home and or make other arrangements.

I really have to just write this for the staff. Every single employee was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and efficient at their job.
The rooms were well stocked. We ran into a few issues while staying (nothing cleanliness wise, the house keeping staff is doing fantastic!) One being the fridge in our room unfortunately wasn't getting cold. They not only sent someone up but upon realizing it couldn't be fixed, they had someone bring in a new fridge and remove the old (a process which took them maybe 15 minutes)

It's in a fantastic location for the attractions in the area, very quiet area. Our kids absolutely adored the fact that ice cream is available for free! And the breakfast really was nice to have every morning before we started our day.

We will be back!

Stayed with our dogs and love that this place is so accommodating for us all. Location is perfect with several, safe places, including an awesome park, to walk the dogs.
Concierge was SO helpful when we couldn't find bike rentals in winter. They made some calls and found us an amazing place open in the off season which made our trip that much more memorable. Our son loved the nightly ice cream and they provided board games for us to play in the breakfast area at night. This was our second stay here within a year. I highly recommend due to all the extra effort and kindness we and our dogs received.

Great location, great stay!
The room & stay was very nice. We had gotten a room with 2 rooms. It was just me and my husband but we could've invited our friends to stay in the other room with 2 Queens if we wanted.
We went on trails close by and tried some local restaurants & went to the outlets. This is a great location & perfect for long term or even just the weekend! Can't wait to come back!

From the time I received my warm welcome at the front desk all the way until we left the hotel, it was a pleasure!!
They really are pet friendly and clean!
My sheets were crisp and clean ( I checked). Housekeeping has a good balance with respectfully offering room cleaning and extra sheets and towels.
Our room was spotless!
Dog treats at the counter along with dog food and free ice cream for my kid.
The continental breakfast guy was even extra kind.
This was a last minute stay with no reservation in place. Next time we take a trip to Williamsburg, we want this same hotel!

Return vacationer to Williamsburg area. The pool is nice and It might be heated. Front desk service are Excellent, promotely updates you on your amazon delivers. 😀

Nice friendly staff, handicap accessible rooms are very accommodating!

We had an excellent experience at this hotel, as we usually do with any Marriott property. This hotel staff is friendly and helpful, from the front desk all the way to the housekeeping crew. Our room was clean and the breakfast the hotel served was excellent! The crew keeping breakfast stocked was friendly with everyone coming through and did a great job keeping it stocked! Keep up the good work Residence Inn! We will be back!

Great hotel for a Williamsbug vacation. The rooms are perfect for family vacations. Exceptionally friendly and helpful front desk staff. Rooms are clean and spacious.

The younger girl that works in the evening is always so nice, this is definitely our go to property for Williamsburg

We picked this hotel to stay in while we were visiting Christmas Town and Busch Gardens for a birthday/xmas jaunt. The staff was all amazing and friendly, especially Precious. She made us feel at home there and took great care of us, addressing all of our needs and going above and beyond. We will absolutely stay here again next time we are in the area.

One item to address: the hot water in room 222 did not get very hot. Might wanna tweak that. Otherwise, great.

So I'm unsure of why all the negative reviews perhaps they were short. Or people like to complain. I have been to many hotels in various states. Also many different Hiltons or Marriott hotels. Came down because of a funeral. Yes it's expensive here but to me worth it. I have two kids so having a full size fridge and a dish washer plus a stove top range was awesome. I arrived way to early for my check -in came from OH so it was either be late or way to early. Whitney was epic she said by 10:30 am there should be a room available. That the house keepers were still cleaning. Very transparent and upfront. Also very nice and professional we ate breakfast at the hotel while we waited. Yes it took some time but I don't care/didn't care. She didn't have to do all that to help us. I had requested a higher floor because my son has sensory issues so noise above can sometimes be an issue. We were put on the fourth floor. Again, thank you. Lastly , we were able to get a discount because of a death in my family. In a time of high gas prices and inflation my family really appreciated that kindness. (I drove down) Room was very clean thanks LaKesisha staff was extremely friendly also helpful. I have sensitive skin 😪 😩 so I will have to bring my own sheets next time. Whatever they washed them in made me itchy but again no big deal.(Telling you in case you have sensitive skin as well.)I have sensitive skin nothing they can do at least I know there 🙃 🙂 clean. I will be back because our stay was incredible. I think people get hung up on little things. Or forget people make mistakes or that all companies/ business are still recovering from the pandemic. It's not easy especially Williamsburg being a tourist town. 😒 Like do you go to NY or Cali or Hawaii and complain this much? 🤔 Anyway our stay was fantastic. Will be back thanks everyone you beyond rock ,stay encouraged some people just like to complain. 🤭💫😄😁🥰🤎

Great location in Williamsburg. Within walking distance of food and shopping and not too far from the Colonial Sites. Free breakfast is limited but appreciated on longer stays.

Maddie was very friendly, courteous and helpful, as were all the staff.

Definitely recommend this location if you are staying for more than a few days. Pet friendly!

This was by far the best hotel experience we have ever had. When we got there Shawna at the front desk was so nice and upgraded our room for us for free. Our room was very clean and large with comfy beds. They had a complimentary ice cream sundae bar at night. The breakfast was far better then expected. It was all around a great experience.

Even though the place is under construction our stay was unhindered. The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. We were a family of 6 driving up from Florida and checked in hassle free at 3 AM. The 2 bedroom 3 bed plus sofa bed allowed us all to get comfortable quick. Breakfast had a little something for everyone. On top of it all the renovations are looking great!

Service at this hotel was exceptionally great! From the moment we enter the hotel, the interactions with the Staffs were extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was good with many choices. Our suite was clean and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. Great location to see local attractions including restaurants. Overall, the staffs made our stay, as they are very responsive and accommodating. Charles Dispaquale, the operation manager was extremely helpful. Thank for amazing service!

Had my sister who is in a wheelchair and had my dog with me. Rooms were great. They only have one room wheelchair accessible and dog friendly and it's next to elevator, kinda noisy. They planned to turned the water off, so we scheduled around that. Then changed at least minute, so we ended up leaving a day early. Did give us credit and very nice about it. Daily Breakfast was good, you could take it back to room. We were close to everything in Williamsburg
