It's an old motel, and it shows. But it was clean, modern bathroom, strong AC, microwave, mini fridge... great value for the price. Free breakfast was very minimal, but no surprise as there's a big pancake house in the parking lot. I'll definitely stay again.

Prefect for what we needed. Kinda worried about what we'd get because the rate was so low. But the sheets were pristine, the bathroom was super clean, and the GM was so friendly and helpful! There was a pool and breakfast was served each morning. Breakfast was mini pastries, cereal, or oatmeal and there was a coffee machine, juice machine, ice and water. The Colonial Pancake House is right next door and hotel guests get 10% off, there are coupons at the front desk. There is also a cooler by the front desk where you can buy bottled drinks. The GM made sure we had a great stay. He was amazing and always stopped to speak to us anytime he saw us. Each room has a little bench outside so guests can sit out and enjoy the weather. And our room even had a mini fridge and microwave. We will definitely stay here if we're ever in the area again.

The hotel was awesome. The rooms were clean and very nice. There were some breakfast items, but you might want to bring your favorite items to eat or visit the restaurant next door.

We were able to walk to Colonial Williamsburg from our room. We also found a grocery store within walking distance.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We would gladly stay here again.

We picked this motel based on reviews. It had all of our priorities: affordable, clean, safe and pool. And it did not disappoint. It was exactly what you could expect for a budget motel. Outdated, some dings and scuffs but as clean as a housekeeper could make it. Some stains but nothing cringe worthy. Staff were friendly, the pool was clean and often empty, the bed was comfy and the ac could keep a polar bear happy. It was also nice to park infront of our room. We did not have housekeeping during our 3 night stay but towles and such were available from the front desk which was fine with us. Breakfast was just ok. Carbs or apples and bananas. But the coffee was good 👍🏼
We were 8 minutes from the fun parks. We also loved bubbas ice cream shack & general store and the farmers market on Saturday. We will definitely choose this motel again.

I swear on a stack of bibles I do not work for this facility, we just took a chance and got an outstanding surprise.

Amazing. Best value in history for the price. $47 a night. Nice comfy beds, good AC and moderately updated rooms with nice bedding, very clean and late 20th century bathroom fixtures.

Yes, it is not the most modern property with all the fru-fru, but it is loaded with colonial charm and better than many more modern chains with their flashy but shallow amenities.

Pool is large and clean, and front desk is super friendly and attentive.

We did have an issue with a slow draining tub, but within minutes, maintenence quietly and unobtrousivley fixed the problem.

Management is spot on, location could not be better, (2 minute walk to Colonial WIllimasburg, 6 minute drive to Bush Gardens, 8 mins to Water Country) and even though there are a few "weekly residents", they are all friendly when paths cross, and keep to themselves otherwise.

We could not feel safer as it is clear the management does not abide with any shenanigans, just offer longer term people needing affordable accomidations for more than
just a few days a pace to stay.

We are already planning an extended family vacation the the area and we WILL book this property for it due to the outstanding value and location.

Highly pleased with our choice and as long as the current owner/mamagers are here, we will return.

Great spot to stay! This property is close to everything you would want to do in the area. Yorktown and Jamestowne settlement are within 20 minutes driving time. Busch Gardens is about a 15 min drive. The beds are super comfy and cozy, but could use an extra blanket in the winter. The bathtubs are deep with ample hot water. Property was clean and free of trash. Overall, this is a great, budget-friendly place to bring one's family. Great staff in a welcoming environment. Highly recommended

Up front, this is a solid 3.5 stay. I rated it a 5 to offset the 1 star ratings that I think are mostly unfair.

Pros: LOCATION! Hard to beat for anything you want to do in Williamsburg or the Colonial Triangle. My room was clean and comfortable, and my bathroom had a recently updated walk-in shower. I found NO evidence of mold, bedbugs, or anything else that would send me fleeing. No odors, no mustiness, nada. The AC, while dated, functioned perfectly (and the room actually had a slight chill when I first arrived).

Cons: Not too many outlets and not a single USB port. At least there was a powerstrip that was accessible. Keep this in mind if you have anything that will need charging...

Also, parking is terrible. If you are lucky, you may be able to park near your room. Do NOT, let me repeat, DO NOT park in the open space right in front of your room because it is probably a fire lane and you WILL GET CALLED ABOUT IT. (Don't ask me how I know. But, hey, it was dark and raining.)

As others have mentioned, the "continental breakfast" is not even worth sticking your head in the door. Seriously. Just skip that.

Overall: A bit pricey for a mid-level stay, but for the location and overall cleanliness, worth it. Yes, it is dated, but if you only need the basics, so what? If you want/need a modern hotel, spend more and stay somewhere else...

Great hotel I plan to stay again the next time I'm in the area. The manager was super helpful when we needed to stay longer than we expected and made sure we would have a room even if we had to move across the way we still had a good room with a comfy bed.

My room is clean and comfortable. No bug problem at all. The location of this motel is pretty good. You can reach McDonald's, 7-11, a pancake house, and a nice Mexican restaurant in walking distance. Colonial Williamsburg and a Food Lion are not far away. People who work here are friendly. One thing I don't like about this motel is that you have completely no control over your air conditioning, and the ac in my room seems to have its own thoughts. Most of the time it's working all day long and it's freezing cold. But I am pretty sure that there will be people who enjoy colder temperature, so I still give 5 stars.

This is an older quaint inn. It is quiet and the convenience of being close to historical areas as well as beaches made it a great choice for us. The rooms were modest. The AC was nice and cold and the water stayed hot even after 3 people in a row. The outlets were tricky but we learned if you left the light switch on the 2 outlets that didn't work, did. The outdoor pool was nice. The beds were comfy and the down comforter was a nice touch.

Great motel for the price. The manager is great. Motel and rooms have a historic feel. Rooms are clean and everything works well. Nice, but understandably small, dining room.

Definitely a dated motel but was perfect for what we needed. Wouldn't be against staying here again.

So glad we found this wonderful motel. The lady at the entrance desk was really really nice, the room was super clean and really comfortable. It was quiet and the pool temperature was perfect! Everything was great, even the breakfast was great, they have huge tasty make-it-yourself waffles and muffins and fruits, bagles, OJ and coffee. We really loved it, will come back :D thank you !

Staff was fantastic and friendly. Rooms were clean and comfy. We loved the pool and the location couldn't have been more perfect. It was a little dated for sure but I think that was the point with it being "historic" by location. It was a little expensive compared to some more modern places further out but we liked it .

Great little charming historic motel. The managers are very nice especially Jay. The rooms are clean and the beds are soft. The breakfast is decent and fresh. We have stayed here twice in the last 6 months for several days. Its quiet and walking distance to Old Williamsburg. I am a Hilton Honors Gold Member, but we like it here. We will be going back again.

The guest service desk was very helpful. He even called our room to make sure everything was alright. I've never had that before. Breakfast was delicious and readily stocked. This was the best hotel I've paid for in Williamsburg, and I'd highly recommend it.

The motel was built in the 1950's and has such a cozy, homey atmosphere. The staff are helpful and kind. The rooms are clean and we spent a week here as opposed to other places in the area because we felt so at home. First stay here was Summer 2014.

Inexpensive, reasonably priced accommodation. Walking distance to 2nd Street American Bistro, Virginia Beer Company, and Eastern end of Colonial Williamsburg. Breakfast included.

Location was extremely convenient for taking in Williamsburg with the Visitor's Center less than a mile away. Close to shopping and restaurants. The room was very clean and had plenty of room for our party of 5 (3 adults and 2 teenagers, room was 2 Queens and sofabed) and was very clean. Staff was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Would definitely stay again.
