Residence Inn by Marriott Fairfax City

I often put up visiting friends and family here when no space in my place. It's a good place for singles, couples, and even families. There are better prices to be had, and some of the rooms would benefit from a bit more attention. The breakfast is better than most suite hotels, and the staff is helpful. You need a car to get beyond a few chain restaurants (Denny's and Red Lobster) or the Amazon Fresh buffet.

Really great spot for multi week business trip stay. Conveniently located to I-66, as well as all the businesses, stores, restaurants, that the City of Fairfax has to offer. The staff here were exceptional, very friendly, made comfortable conversation, greeted me by name, handed me my mail when I walked in through the lobby door, and definitely made this feel like a comforting place to return to at the end of each day. Definitely recommend to anyone needing a multi week or multi month place to stay in the Northern Virginia area.

Even though this property is older, it was super comfortable. Shout out to the breakfast lady, who greeted everyone, was on top of everything, and kept everything super clean. Would def stay here again!

I had the pleasure of staying at the Residence in Fairfax during a family event, and I must say, this newly renovated gem exceeded my expectations.

The compact yet well-equipped gym featured a Peleton, weights, treadmills, and even a rope, ensuring a satisfying workout experience. Overall, every penny spent on this stay was absolutely worth it. Bonus! There’s a laundry room on the same floor as the gym.

The lobby exudes a warm and modern ambiance, offering inviting nooks for dining or productive work sessions.

Very comfortable hotel. Room was large with full kitchen and big TV. The shower is amazing, very high pressure and the a/c is nice and cold.

We have stayed here various times visiting local relatives. Staff always very courteous and helpful. Good quality room accommodations. Good included breakfast menu. Pet friendly. Only complaint is last visit this March,no treats for the doggies! They always had them before.

Can't write enough good things about this Residence Inn. Perfect location, safe, clean, and most of all, the service by the entire hotel staff has been exceptional. Great job by the Residence Inn, Fairfax City.

A great, easy to access hotel located near the 66. Short drive into DC or downtown Fairfax. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is spotless. Breakfast is wonderful. We stay here any time we’re in the DC area.

This place was absolutely AMAZING and I would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay! We originally had reservations at a different hotel across the street which turned out to be a nightmare in SO many ways. So after the first night, we literally walked over to the Residence Inn, told them our experience, and asked if they had any vacancies. They were super accommodating and immediately got us set up in an amazing room. Since we were in town for a wedding and had several other friends/family members who also had reservations in the same nightmare hotel we were originally in, we were able to contact them before they arrived and all decided to cancel their reservations and book rooms at the Residence Inn instead, which went very smoothly despite the (VERY) short notice. Everybody enjoyed a wonderful weekend and had nothing but excellent things to say about this hotel!! I would ABSOLUTELY stay with them again!!!

What a beautiful hotel. Super clean, plenty of beer, wine and snacks at reasonable prices in the lobby. Coffee/tea in the morning is free. The staff are super kind. I noticed how professional the woman at the front desk is. My king room suite has a full sized fridge, sponge, coffee maker etc. The bathroom is spacious and modern. Only thing I wish the rooms had was USB charging ports. This should be the standard of what similar hotels should be judged by. 5 stars.

Clean, functional rooms with a basic kitchen, sitting area and bed area nicely separated. The rooms are comfortable without being luxurious. The lobby area is the same, but with friendly desk staff.

But oh dear the carpets. Those who designed and picked them should not be allowed near interior decor ever again.

This was my first return to a Marriott property since last February (2020) and it was such a pleasant and welcome experience. It was truly a feeling of coming home. The welcoming and amazing staff alleviated all concerns about safety, and the constant dedication to providing a secure and comfortable stay was evident throughout the stay.

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay here one weekend. The price was very reasonable, too (it was low enough that I was worried that there might be something wrong with the place). Breakfast was a well-executed continental buffet without the "economizing blamed on COVID" I've seen elsewhere. I enjoyed having a small kitchen with fridge. The only thing I'd change is to add a sign over the entrance, since it faces away from route 123 and can cause some momentary confusion about whether this is the correct entrance.

Nice sized rooms. Friendly staff and convenient location

Had a one night stay for work. Was able to use the mobile app for check in and as my key to the room. Didn't have to wait in any lines, just went straight to my room. The hotel was clean and felt new. My room had a kitchenette with fridge, dishwashers, stove top, sink, and coffee maker. Internet speeds were good. I took the $5 upgrade for faster internet. Was able to FaceTime with family and watch movies with no issues. King bed was very comfortable as was the couch. Great stay!

The staff was fantastic, welcoming and responsive to requests. Daniel, Michael, Dai, and Sue were absolutely top notch with customer service. My stay was 7 weeks and I have no complaints. I travel for work and we typically use Residence Inn as we have extended stays and this location is #1 best of the best.

Lovely stay. There’s a peloton bike also that deserves its own photo :) They kept the facility clean and only allowed one guest at a time.

Staff are so nice. Bed was comfortable. Grab and go breakfast was fairly decent as those go. Room was quiet!

We had great time in this hotel, one of the best Residence Inn in US. Parking is free, location is perfect , only 20 mins away from DC. Staff is nice , friendly and very helpful we had very warm welcome as Marriott Bonvoy members. Breakfast is good comparing other hotels in higher range- (such as Renaissance by Marriott) . During this cold months heating is very well in the rooms. Highly recommend.
