Courtyard by Marriott Fairfax Fair Oaks

Great Location. The front desk (ie "Will") was very helpful. The breakfast and bar staff were professional and very accommodating to our small group of solo travelers in town for a college reunion.

Brayden was awesome last night! I came in with a large group of people who had missed there connections because of a delay from PLS. He moved with efficiency, urgency, and most of all kindness. As you can imagine, a few of us were a bit cranky, and he handled the crowd like a pro. The rooms and property were clean and nice. Thanks for making a good experience out of an inconvenience.

Will, Stina, Paulina and sara are excellent. Along with the cleaning staff, everyone is in great spirits and a collaborative team. My family and I felt so comfortable and safe.

My fiancé and I got engage in November and haven’t had a moment with 2 kids to actually celebrate us. So we chose here and it really was fabulous. The breakfast package is really worth the money the breakfast is amazing and they do everything to accommodate you. We had a problem with the heating unit in our room and they fixed it that day. Everyone was so nice and accommodating we ended up extending our stay longer because we just didn’t want to leave. Rooms had plenty of room there is a sliding glass door to get some fresh air which is nice. Nice little love seat for 2 people to cuddle up and watch movies.

My stay at this hotel was truly enjoyable from start to finish. Despite its convenient location right in the heart of the city, the hotel itself was incredibly quiet and peaceful. I never heard any noise from the outside, even with my window open at night. The rooms were modern and spacious, with very comfortable beds and high-quality linens that made for an amazing night's sleep.

The service provided by the staff, especially Sara at the front desk, is what really made this hotel stand out. Sara went above and beyond to make sure all of my needs were met and that I had the best stay possible. When I needed a late checkout due to a delayed flight, she was more than accommodating and ensured I didn't have to rush in the morning. Sara also made excellent recommendations for local restaurants and attractions based on my interests. Her thoughtful touches and sincere desire to be helpful were so appreciated.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and hassle-free stay in the city. The combination of the peaceful atmosphere, incredibly comfortable rooms, and outstanding customer service from Sara makes this a five-star hotel in my book. I will definitely be coming back here for all my future trips.

Sara at the front was wonderful and super helpful I’d come back just for her service! Room was also really cool cause of the balcony. Parking was easy to find and I like that they have a Starbucks and Bistro cafe here. The Christmas decorations were also super cute and festive which I appreciate during the holidays

Everything is clean at the courtyard Marriott. The housekeeping crew are very courteous and polite. The Bistro in the lobby offers Starbucks coffee but it’s not free you have to pay for it. It has no complimentary breakfast.

The rooms facing the courtyard are very peaceful and have great balconies. Some of the ACs had weird smells, but they have many suites, and the suites have two ACs, so you can pick one. The windows slide open a few inches. The indoor pool was running from 5pm to 9pm on weekdays and mornings to afternoons on weekends. The pool was pleasantly warm and ran fine except one time when a toddler pooped in it, and the poop came out. It has fun equipment, and there is a lifeguard. Although I saw people smoking on premises, they were far enough that it wasn't a problem, and the rooms smelled fine. There is no balcony furniture except on the lower level (where the courtyard and pool are). There is a fire pit that thankfully produces minimal smoke. The mini fridge is on the smaller side but can accommodate one bag of groceries.
It is walking distance to H-Mart, but there is no free breakfast and the food is quite expensive on premises. There is construction nearby, so sometimes the outside smelled like asphalt or diesel. Usually, this was brief. The furniture felt ergonomic, though the office chair smelled like cheap plastic (was able to cover it up in towels to stop the smell). They found our lost items and returned them in perfect condition!

We had a lovely stay here! The front lobby staff were very friendly and provided great customer service. Our bedroom was very clean and updated, but the bathroom looked like it was a little dated (but still clean and got the job done!). The cafe downstairs was super convenient and staff were also wonderful and provides awesome service. The location was super convenient and close to major roads and shopping areas. Overall we had a very lovely stay, and wouldn’t hesitate to return!

I came here to finish a work trip after leaving the Hilton early due to a variety of issues. Despite the last minute booking, the staff here was able to fulfill my request for a high-floor room facing the direction I wanted. My room was clean, there was a blanket on the bed (missing at Hilton), they had good bath products and a bathtub, and thick blackout curtains...everything I needed for my stay. I wasn’t able to enjoy breakfast due to early work hours, but dinner was awesome and the server/bartender was a pleasure to chat with after a long day. I was also granted a late checkout without fuss, and when I turned in my keycards the front desk staff remembered why I had switched to this hotel mid-week and genuinely impressed that they hoped my stay had been a pleasant one, which it most certainly was.

Hotel is nicely located close to EagleBank Arena and many nice places to eat out. Rooms were not huge but were clean and comfortable. Our room consisted of a king sized bed, flat screen tv on dressser/desk and a small corner couch sofa bed. We had a room on second floor, all the way on the end of the hallway. It was nice and quiet. We used the stairs right next to our room and there was a door right there to go outside to our parked car. Starbucks is in lobby. You can buy breakfast and dinner on main floor. They also had a little snack shop by checkin. Staff were all happy and pleasant.

Our family was there to attend a funeral. All the staff were so kind to us. Sam and Jose at the front desk, Anna and Allen realized that this was not a holiday for us and they were gentle, sympathetic to our needs.We arrived Thursday, Feb. 3 and checked out Sunday morning on Feb. 6.
My daughter was staying at the Marriot a mile away with her dad and brother. The guys had to check out on Saturday, so My daughter, who I didn't want to be alone, was able to switch to the Courtyard with no extra charge. I'm so pleased with the excellent customer service.By the way, the breakfasts were so good!

The lobby is nice and modern, it's got an area for retro gaming, outside lounge, billiards and there is an inhouse Starbucks.

Beds are great but the pillow are way too soft need to stack at least two to feel adequate.

The shower water pressure is not bad.

My family and I stayed here during a recent power outage in our area in early August 10-12), the manager on duty (around 930ish pm) was amazing! He assisted us with getting our room reservations and making sure we were all nearby together. The rooms were clean, excellent wifi, and great location as a home away from home until the power was restored. Will definitely recommend to friends and family coming for a visit!

We were surprised at how close it is to the Eagle Banks Arena as we were staying there to go to a concert. There's a restaurant and bar inside. A pool open 10-10 very family oriented. I loved the beautiful outdoor area that has a fire pit and the other seating areas. Super clean. It looked as though no one sat outside to enjoy the scenery , because of how clean it is . Clearly there were guest enjoying the weather and the lovely ensemble they put together. Their lobby area was well put together as well. You could sit with your friends in private or in the open. They have TVs and music playing. Hotel staff are exquisite and and very polite. Had no problems guiding us as to where there were things to do in the area or shopping centers. Across the street there were stores bars and restaurants. Great location. The room I had was king size. No bed bugs. Clean sheets and towels. We arrived Friday afternoon left Sunday. Housekeeping came every day made sure we were ok made the beds delivered new towels each day and changed trash vacuumed our room. Coffee refills as well. Guest services were truly over 5 stars. I highly recommend this place. I am looking forward to staying there again.

The Staff is fantastic here. We stayed this weekend for a graduation and rented a conference room for a baby shower. The staff could not have been nicer, both day and night shifts. Pool was very nice, and rooms were very clean! The staff was what made the stay! I would highly recommend this Marriott.

I have stayed here for the last couple months and this place provides a clean, peaceful stay. The General manager Glen is a wonderful leader of a team of good customer service employees. Amy is magnificent! She is always so pleasant and polite when I have dealt with her. I recommend this place hands down!!! Clean and peaceful.

The location is a bit hard to find initially as it behind several other buildings and the Courtyard sign is several yards away from the actual hotel. The rooms are beautiful. Very modern, very comfortable furniture. There has been a balcony in every room I've stayed in. The service is excellent, from the front desk to the cleaning staff. Everyone is genuinely kind and incredibly helpful.
