Hampton Inn Fairfax City

Don't normally leave reviews, but this place was so good I had to. Came for a swim meet (out of town). The rooms were very nice and comfortable but the bar that sets the standard here was the service. All the staff was so friendly to the kids and parents. On the last day I went ahead and checked out but not thinking we were going to come back, however, one of my kids slipped at the meet and scraped up their leg. I called to see if possible to get the room back and they were able to accommodate. When I came back to front desk to thank them they even offered first aid kit and words of encouragement to my daughter. Absolutely above and beyond, the staff here is so nice and accommodating. I feel they genuinely care which is so hard to come by these days. Any futher bookings in the area will 100% be staying here! Thanks!

This is a really great hotel and I would highly recommend staying here. The room was clean and spacious. The location is really good and it felt safe. It's walking distance to various restaurants; Walmart and Indian grocery are not too far away.

I stayed multiple nights and the staff was friendly too. My only issue was that the breakfast was repetitive, but otherwise filling.

If you're planning a trip to Washington DC, this is a great option because the Vienna/Fairfax-GMU station is a short car ride away and the train from there will take you straight into the capital. The room was still pricier than I would've liked, but cheaper than comparable ones in DC itself.

This was the best hotel experience ever, AND my huge thanks to the hotel manager and Charles. I can't thank them enough. I will explain below, but for starters, every person was so kind, helpful, and always smiling! The staff was courteous and very attentive. The room was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Overall great atmosphere throughout the hotel. Also, great breakfast area and wonderful breakfast. Very pleased with my stay. This is the amazing part. When I was checking out, I wanted a last cup of coffee for a long drive ahead. I had baggage with me which I set aside along the coffee serving area while I prepared my cup of coffee. I got distracted and left the hotel leaving my bags behind. Thankfully the wonderful manager and the front desk personnel noticed that someone left the bags, secured the bags, checked video to determine who the bags belonged to, and gave me a call. Because I was driving, I missed the call. Hours later, I realized I left the bags behind and called the hotel and spoke with Charles. After asking me many security questions, Charles said, "yes we have the bags," and I said, "I'm coming back to pick them up." It was a huge relief. Charles was so understanding and kind and helped me book a room for the night because it was too late to continue driving. Upon arriving, I checked the bags and everything was in perfect order including valuables. Everything was there! God bless this wonderful team of great people! I was very happy with my stay and was super elated with how incredible the team at this hotel is. And yes, I highly, highly recommend this hotel and the next time I'm in the area, for sure I will call this hotel home while I am away from my home!!!

We had a tough time figuring out a place to stay near Washington DC. The reviews were all over the place and a lot of prices were too expensive. Thankfully, the Hampton Inn at Fairfax ended up being a really nice option. Everything was clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was no issue having two dogs stay in one room. It was pretty quiet too, as I didn't hear other dogs barking or anything. Plus, the morning hot breakfast was great! Plenty of options, good coffee, and they put out more food throughout the breakfast time, so nothing ran out. Definitely reccomend!

Rooms are clean and appear to be recently updated. Definitely one of the nicest Hampton Inns I’ve stayed at.

The Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home recommended this Hampton Inn. It’s only 4 miles from there. Unfortunately we were in town to attend the funeral of our young nephew. We were in shock the entire week. The folks at the Hampton Inn Fairfax were just a delight. They had heard about the very unexpected death of our loved one and were so generous with their time and spoke to us with kindness. We’d only planned to spend a couple of days, but realizing we were too tired to travel back to our home state, we asked the manager, Frankie if we could extend one more night. He found a way to let us keep the room at the same rate. The breakfast is phenomenal and changes every day. We travel quite a bit (retired), and rarely do we find a hotel this clean, well staffed that offers a good breakfast at a decent price point. There’s a 7 Eleven and a Burger King less than100 yards away, plus some other restaurants within walking distance. Seemed like a pretty safe neighborhood too. We’re going to stay there again when we go back to visit under more pleasant circumstances.

Great staff and the exercise room was larger than most. Next door is a great Mexican restaurant.

Nice rooms! The staff are friendly and professional -- quite kind, in fact, and were good listeners/seemed to care/treated me with respect. Staying here was a wonderful experience. The weekend got a bit busy with people in the breakfast area, but that's how it goes on weekends at places, of course. No real complaints from me. Good breakfast choices. At my request, I was moved to another room too (I did not like my first neighbors). That's above and beyond what is expected, in my opinion. Very happy to have stayed here. It was a bit of solace from an otherwise hectic life.

The location is convenient for walking too. 7-11, Burger King, and an Asian grocery store (among other places) are within walking distance of the hotel!

Business travel - Incredibly clean, comfortable rooms. Friendly and courteous staff who truly care for their guests. Very pleased, will return!

The staff at this Fairfax location is very accommodating and friendly. Julio, for instance, is very hospitable, remembers former visitors, and treats them with courtesy and kindness. He also goes out of his way to accommodate requests. The same can be said for other employees I've met.

This Hampton Inn also peaceful for being in such a convenient location, near ample amenities and main roads. Moreover, they have comfortable beds, and their soaps and other resources are very good. If you forget a toothbrush or toothpaste, they have you covered. Their continental breakfast isn't bad either. I enjoyed my stay here, and if I need to stay in a hotel in Fairfax, this Hampton Inn is my first choice.

This Hampton Inn was clean and nice and up to date I think the location is not to great across the street there is a old abandoned building 🤔

Very close to GMU and for a small hotel it has a great workout room with top equipment (important to me). They had a nice breakfast layout but I didn't eat.

I booked a room for my brother and nephew and they said it was a great room.

The rooms were very clean, the staff was very personable and helpful throughout our stay. We used the Vienna train station to get to DC and it is very convenient.

The staff was super friendly from welcome to check out. We received complimentary water when requested. The pre packaged breakfast boxes we great. The hotel itself was clean and the rooms looked to be renovated/updated recently. Overall great stay. We love our Hampton Inn Hotels, but this one was top notch!

Coming in from Texas, We were welcome in by Alfredo ( Front Desk).. He was very nice, very efficient, and smile for days. Very pleasant and respectful.. Very knowledgeable about George Mason University.. The lady who set up breakfast Mon- Fri Edsy was very helpful with tour spots. Yvonne and Frankie from front desk was phenomenal. The weekend breakfast lady was also pleasant. Lets not forget housekeeper, Love the entire staff!!! Can't wait to visit again ❤❤ Julio take care of the staff boss man 🙏👌

Excellent. Hotel is clean. Not a lot of hotels are keeping things clean right now and using covid as an excuse but this place is clean and smells fresh. I was welcomed at check in by a very friendly man (thank you for welcoming me). Room is updated and very comfortable. Unfortunately I'll have to miss breakfast as I have such an early start but set up looks good. Thanks Hampton Inn. I will be back.

My stay at the hotel was for my 50th high school reunion. I have stayed at this hotel numerous times for previous reunions. The room is always clean, staff is friendly and breakfast is enough to start the day. Thanks for another great visit! (Oh, and I accidentally left my magnifying mirror in the room, which the staff held for me at the front desk to pick up).
