A few years ago a small emerald stone fell out of my claddagh ring and I went to Gregory Scot to get a replacement stone. My father gave the ring to my mother in college and has sentimental value. We went over the options ultimately deciding on a tiny diamond (read: the words tiniest diamond) to replace the emerald because it would be more durable moving forward as a stronger stone. It cost me next to nothing, the service and guidance was excellent and I appreciated his time and expertise on a small job.

Today I was in the area and really needed to get my engagement ring cleaned. I wasn't sure if they were open during covid but I popped by and was so pleasantly surprised that they were - they had safety procedures posted on the wall, the staff the welcoming when I walked in, and they were able to clean my ring on the spot at no charge.

During the cleaning I was able to walk around the store and it seems like their collection is excellent. I wanted to share my two positive experiences over the last 5 year span. This is definitely a stand out business in the area.

I don’t understand how Scot only has a 4.8 rating. Not only is he knowledgeable he is honest and fair. We found our new jeweler. Highly recommend him! This is a great place for Antique Jewelry as well. I picked up my rings and absolutely love them. NO ONE else has my ring even if they are similar. Thanks Scot.

If they don't have what you want in the store, Scot will be able to find what you are looking for, or even design a piece that is unique and personal. Highly recommended.

Sold my silver coins! Excellent experience. Brought my coins elsewhere was offered $800 and was told they wanted their expert coin dealer to look at them. Said I might have some rare coins and they may be worth more. Three days later they called and said the coin dealer found some collectable coins and that the coin dealer was offering $1000. They said they would let me sell directly to the coin dealer and that they were making no money, just doing me a favor, because I was a customer.
During the three days of wait time,I was referred to Gregory Scot's by a friend on the Cape. He said "go see Scot he'll take good care of you". So I picked up my coins from the other place and headed over. Together,(right in front of me) we went through all the coins, with a coin book handy looking for rare dates. We didn't find any. But Scot said they all have silver value. He then offered me $1585...and said he wasn't doing me any favors, he was going to make money on the coins but was merely treating me fairly. I was shocked at the price difference and completely satisfied with the experience. Really like his frank and honest approach! Thank goodness for the referral...money is for my daughters wedding.

Was only looking for something small and it was an amazing shopping experience. I'm only an 18 year old kid so my budget wasn't anything huge and I didn't know what I was really doing, but they gave me advice and even encouraged me not to leave with the jewelry and to look around at other store for deals. Ultimately I went back and bought what I was looking at! I will continue buying from them for anything I need.

Just needed a watch link removed. He was clearly very busy but did it immediately, quickly, and for only $5. Not often I need a jeweler, but I'd go back if and when I ever did.

I got good pricing, yet I'm not sure that I've ever experienced more Prejudice in my life. I've witnessed this man be so nice and welcoming to his customers that look like him. Yet as soon as I walk in the door. I'm being judged, he throws around my jewelry and dismisses my questions. The young lady that works with him is definitely more personable than he is.
