Absolutely amazing place. Very friendly, Nice pool and hot tub, and beautiful lobby. Rooms are very clean.

We had one of the nicest rooms we have ever booked. The room was larger than most and the towels were extra plush, not run of the mill hotel towels. Quiet and exceptionally clean. We will be repeat guests for sure! The nite light in the bathroom was an unexpected added touch.

Perfect for our fall getaway. Very clean, spacious and quiet. Friendly staff. Perfect northwoods accommodations. Highly recommended. Really good restaurant options nearby.

My wife and I always stay at hotels, unfortunately up in the woods, there isn't any of those. (Ha ha) we were very impressed with the Whitetail. The staff was very nice and helpful, our room was clean and smelled clean. It didn't have that disinfectant smell which many places have. I would recommend this place to all. Keep in mind, your up north, it's as close as your gonna get to a Hilton. We will definitely stay there again. By the way, extra pillows and blankets are in the drawers.

This is a beautiful private home that can be rented as deer camp or as a rural relaxing retreat. Beautiful views of the area from the expansive deck. You can sot and watch herds of deer move through the nearby countryside. This lodge is beautiful inside and out and everything is new, clean, and just really nice. The owner is very nice and easy to deal with. Highly recommend this place.

Recently updated rooms are inviting and comfortable. Nice quiet location on Hwy 70. Each room has a small outdoor patio. Some rooms now have a fireplace, while others have a Jacuzzi tub. Modest breakfast is included.

We feel very fortunate to have stumbled upon this gem when negative experiences elsewhere left us looking for last minute lodging on a holiday weekend! Whitetail Lodge is in an absolutely gorgeous area, set back in the woods with a log cabin feel. The walls are decorated with fun artwork, the rooms are spacious, and we had a patio walk out to the woods. There is a small playground our kiddo loved, and a wonderful pool with a volleyball net and a basketball hoop, and the hot tub was wonderfully relaxing. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and very kind. Next time we are in the area we will be booking a room here for sure! I highly recommend.

This was our first stay, as we have a place close by. During a nasty ice and snow storm we had no power, and were happy to get a room. The staff couldn't have been nicer. or more accommodating, especially the manager! Our room was clean and comfy. After our cold, dark house, the fireplace was great. Coffee, a little breakfast, a warm shower and all the comforts.The manager made it in bright and early in the morning, on terrible roads to assure we had all we needed. Amazing customer service!

Had a really wonderful stay here! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Used the pool and hot tub all three nights of our stay.. one of the cleanest I’ve ever seen! Room was clean and updated with a rustic charm.. the fireplace was a nice added touch too. Great restaurants nearby and it’s literally right on the Vilas trail. Will definitely stay there again! This family-run operation boasts the cleanliness and relative modernity of a 4-star chain hotel but in the peaceful northwoods! Immaculately clean, beautiful setting, every room appeared to have patio doors letting out to woods with sufficient privacy, place was full but quiet even on a busy July 4th weekend. The pool, hot tub were large, clean and well kept. Even the pullout couch was comfortable. Environmentally responsible, compostable coffee cups. They are doing a wonderful job of helping guests maintain social distance, with fewer tables in the breakfast nook, prepackaged breakfast, plexiglass screen at front desk. Staff were very friendly. And relatively inexpensive. Will definitely be back.

I was very impressed with how well kept the lodge was. I enjoyed my room and the staff was particularly nice! The contnental breakfast was also delicious. My only criticism would be the pillows. They were a little flat and could use an update but that was a minor detail in my great overall experience.

This was an absolutely beautiful place to stay while we attended our friend's December winter weekend up north. It gave my 10 year old step son a woodsy cabin life vibe, and the pool was a great perk! The staff was extremely nice and the lobby was well decorated. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here over the weekend of the Tomahawk Rally and couldn't have more pleased. Very nice rooms and very nice accommodations. We were allowed to park the bikes under the awning and were even told that if it rained, we could park in the garage. I mean, who does that? We didn't have time to enjoy the pool or hot, but both looked very inviting. The huge deck out back was our hangout as we visited late into the nights with adult drinks and conversations. And believe it or not, no one hollered at us to be quite and go to bed. Definitely found a place to stay for many more visits.

Fantastic. My wife and I were looking for a mid-week get away utilizing our bicycles. We knew of the great trails around St. Germain, WI so off we went searching for available rooms in the are
a. Most hotels were full or over-priced for the week of the 4th My wife found Whitetail. We have not stayed at this location on previous trips.
Large rooms; fireplace in each room; sofa, stuffed chair, large counter top, lots of cabinets and drawers, a full- sized bathroom. Little things like a door stop so you can get your gear into and out of the room without growing a third arm. A Patio with chairs in your room so you can enjoy the wonderful grounds.
Staff that knows what customer service means and proudly displays their knowledge. Always greeted with a smile by everyone from the Manager and her team to the housekeeping staff - and they were sincere! They even allowed us to store our bikes in the garage so we didn't have to track wet bikes into our room.
Knowledge of restaurants, attractions, bike trails, anything you wanted to know. Breakfast was laid out on time and always full. Grounds were taken care of. Will go back again.

All of my stays were excellent, the staff are very friendly, Vicky at the front desk is lovely. The breakfast and the view of the deer in the morning was wonderful touch. Also if you want a sparkling clean room, I suggest you request Christine. I've never seen a more clean hotel room. All around fantastic stay, will be returning many times, highly recommend.

Very large comfortable clean room with lovely views of deer and fawns walking by the patio doors in early evening. Breakfast was good. Swimming pool and tub area was well maintained and very clean. Front desk staff was friendly and personable.

Very friendly staff, clean lodge, lovely pool and hot tub. Rooms are super spacious. Patio outside to sit at. Walking paths as well. Saw tons of deer. This is definitely a stay at again hotel. Would recommend it to all my friends and family. Also has continental breakfast in the mornings as well.
