Lake Superior Lodge

I was really impressed with the Lake Superior Lodge. Our room was very clean and looked recently updated. The view from our balcony facing the lake was amazing and the large flower garden was really beautiful. I really liked the fact that the room had a Roku instead of regular cable TV. We were able to log into our own streaming services and watch whatever we wanted. As an aside I really liked the town of Bayfield as well. There were lots of local restaurants and shops to visit.

We were looking for a getaway for our 50th wedding anniversary and this place was recommended by friends. We were not disappointed! We loved that it was a short distance from town. Our room was very clean and spacious. The view was gorgeous and so relaxing. The flowers around the grounds were simply stunning. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We wondered definitely recommend LSL!

What a pleasant, clean, comfortable place to stay when we visited the Apostle Islands from Bayfield, WI. From the minute I booked, I found the staff to be helpful, interested in what we needed for our mini-vacation, and very kind.
The Condo that Catherine booked for us had a full kitchen, lovely covered porch overlooking Lake Superior, and (bonus) a jetted tub for 2!
The location is perfect--within walking distance of the cute town of Bayfield; so we never had to look for parking downtown.
We were so happy to find that there was live musical entertainment in the park the evening of our arrival; so nice, overlooking the lake!
Morty's pub was a great first stop after arriving, offering some great brews and a monitor with fun trivia questions! The service at Morty's was excellent.
The morning of our boat tour of the Apostle Islands, we walked down to the coffee shop for a latte and headed right to the dock--another first-class operation, and wonderfully informative cruise.

Just had a lovely stay at the Lake Superior Lodge! It’s a convenient location, just a few blocks up the road from downtown. It’s very quiet and we had an awesome view of the lake from the deck off of our room. One of the nights we were there it was misty and foggy and we could see the light from a lighthouse out on the lake, which was pretty cool. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Lake Superior Lodge in July 2022. We were met with ice cold air conditioning on a swelling day. The room was great, comfortable bed, has fridge and microwave and even coffee was good. It was very affordable for our 2 night get away. It’s walking distance to town and terrific views from our room. It has a cute sitting area/deck where we ate take out and watched to lake! Will definitely stay again.

This is our 10th year staying in Bayfield and our 2nd time staying at LSL. Absolutely ❤ staying here! Just a block out of town, so peaceful and quiet! Beautiful views, great outdoor seating options. The rooms are spotless, beds are very comfortable (I have a bad back). The staff is very friendly and helpful. They are upgrading all the time. This is the only place we will be staying on our future visits. Thank you LSL!

Location is an easy walk to downtown and feels secluded and quiet. Beautiful patio as well as outdoor fire area to provide for relaxation. Room was very comfortable!

Nice room with a view of the lake. Good coffee in the room. I wasn't crazy about the streaming TV. I could not watch any of the Olympics without subscribing to NBC Peacock. There was a free trial offer but I would need to provide my email address so NBC could bug me to purchase a subscription.

My experience was good though. I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

Cute place. We bought some art for a Christmas gift and learned they will be serving food soon! The menu is not large but looked good. Can’t wait to go back!

Honestly, the million dollar view alone makes this 5-star worthy. I stayed here with around 15 other family members while getting married in the area.
The hotel rooms are freshly redone and very nice. Being right outside of town, you're free of the daily madness, but close enough to jump into the Bayfield action whenever you please. If I come back to the area this will be the first place I look at for lodging. Thanks LSL for a great experience!

First of all price was great compared to every other place in Bayfield! The rooms were clean and fresh, looked like they had just beend remodeled! HUGE TV, loved streaming service option.
Was a little nervous pulling in because outside of building/grounds looked a little rough. But rooms were beautiful! Checking in was slightly confusing with no office but we figured it out! Great place would definitely come back!

Catherine is an absolutely fantastic host and her place was perfect for our large group. Also, being perched just above Lake Superior with the best views is another huge plus. Would HIGHLY recommend staying here.

My brother and family stayed all week. They loved the grounds, the view, and condo. They thought the staff was very friendly and helpful particularly the housekeeping staff. The price was right for a 2 bedroom condo!

Checking in was easy. No hassle of dealing with a busy lobby like you find at other hotels. Having the roku to stream tv services was nice as we usually travel with a roku. Rooms were clean. Affordable price, nice rooms. Definitely will stay there again

We had a little trouble getting into our room, thank goodness for Joe! He was here in 5 minutes & we were in.
Room is nice & clean and our view is beautiful.

Clean rooms, easy check in and departure, beautiful deck for relaxing, and comfortable bed.

We’ve stayed here two years in a row now and absolutely love it here!

Enjoyed our stay at Lake Superior Lodge , could us a little TLC but understand because of economy and covid . We will be back.
