Tru by Hilton Perrysburg Toledo

Not sure why so many negative reviews. Hotel is clean, staff is great, rooms are super clean. All of our requests were met at the front desk. Beds are comfortable & I got an extra pillow for my shoulder since I just had surgery. We were looking for a room so we didn't have to take a chance on crazy drivers on NYE & this is around the corner from our buddy's place. We would definitely stay here again. To the person complaining about the carpet pattern...seriously? It's a relatively new hotel, couple of yrs old. TRU may be our new go to hotel when on vacation.

Behind all the bright colors and quirky things in this new chain by Hilton, you'll find the same quality you've come to expect from Hilton. We stayed 2 nights while visiting family for a birthday celebration. We were able to bring our dog instead of hitting a pet sitter or taking him to a kennel for the weekend and it only cost an extra $50.
The room doesn't have a dresser and there's no tub (just a shower stall). But living out of a suitcase isn't so bad and the shower stall is big enough to share, so that was nice.
Breakfast didn't offer much in the way of protein and the yogurt was beyond the best by date, but we managed to eat some breakfast anyway.

Abraham the front desk check in is amazing. We was on a long trip and when we came in he was extremely friendly and so nice. We stayed cuz how awesome he was. The hotel is super clean, upscale and trendy. I become a Hilton member will stay again.

Loved this stop. Perfectly clean and had everything to make an overnight stop comfortable. Generous shampoo, conditioner and lotion, ice and water fountains, nightstand with lights and outlets on both sides of the bed (not as common as you’d think). DoorDash service direct to room. Plentiful parking. Friendly staff. 10/10.

Checked in on the app so I selected a big room. The rooms vary because of the architecture of the building. The room was clean and check out was easy. There are allot of restaurants within 5 to 10 minutes. There is a gas station nearby so it is a good stop over

So, if you like "posh" and extra fancy accommodations, this might not be the place for you. If you want a reasonably priced, clean hotel with a decent breakfast... then this hotel is perfect! Rooms are clean with modern details, and the beds are comfortable. The staff was friendly and in the common area on the first floor there are lots of seating areas to congregate with friends and family. There is also a pool table and a work station area with a printer. There is a fitness room next to the common area by elevators and there are ice machines on every other floor. As far as I could tell, there was no pool or extra amenities to name. They have food pantry with items to buy right off of guest services (plates, condiments, and microwave as well). Landscaping was well kept, and lighting outside was good by vehicles. Breakfast has standard (individual yogurts, oatmeal (with nuts, cranberry, and brown sugar options), scrambles eggs, sausage links, dry cereal and milk, pancake machine (whip cream, chocolate chip and syrup), raw fruit and bagels/toasts/muffins. I stayed here for work and will definitely stay here again.

Requested a bathtub room for my younger babies and the room was such a good size. Really liked the shampoo and conditioners in the room. Front desk Staff was kind, the woman serving us breakfast was very friendly and kept the area super clean. And the pancake machine was great for my boys. Even the housekeeping was so friendly and greeted me with a smile.. great to see hospitality like this visiting family back home. Big flat screens I’m the room we’re great. Beds were clean and cozy. Very nice stay!

Really liked this place. Young man at front desk was very welcoming and helpful. Clean, modern, love the soap/lotion/shampoo dispensers, and lights. Nice breakfast.. We came back for a second night we liked it so well. Only thing missing was a small microwave.

Spent one night here for work. The room was pretty nice. I liked the decor. It was a little noisy with the close by highway. I liked the walk-in shower, but I always wish for a handheld shower head when I stay at a hotel. With lower water pressure, you can't always wash some areas easily. Otherwise the breakfast was good and I had a good night's sleep

A very clean and comfortable place to stay. Abraham was the first to greet us, and we enjoyed his wittybanter and professionalism.
The coffee is fantastic and all day long.
The morning breakfast bar was clean, and the items I had were very good.

Modern space. Room had outlet below full length mirror and a light above. Room DIDN'T have coffee maker or microwave. Shower was fantastic. Beds were comfortable but not as soft as we had been enjoying. Breakfast was usual hotel menu. Nice fitness center but no pool or hot tub. I would stay again or try another Tru by Hilton.

Hilton Diamond here but first time staying at a Tru hotel. If they’re all like this, absolutely fantastic concept. Just what the doctor ordered. Rolling through town late and needed a last minute room. This was priced well. Comfortable, large room. Chic, urban environment. Basic but complete breakfast. They even had decaf available in the morning (thank you from the former multi-decade coffee addicts). If I need a stay in the same area in the future, I’ll definitely stay here again.

Edit: I’m on the way out, and I’ll make another comment: it’s the people who really make a place great. Not only is there an almost familiar vibe here that makes you feel very welcome, the breakfast attendant worked really hard to make sure the pancake machine was working correctly when I expressed that I was having a bit of trouble with it. I had two very delicious pancakes just now that I probably didn’t need but which were very good. Shout out also to the very chill and kind midnight worker who checked me in.

I was in town for my best friend’s wedding and booked a room for the weekend for my boyfriend and I. It was a great location close to Maumee for him to go see friends and a short drive from downtown Toledo. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very kind and helpful! Would definitely stay again!

I’m not sure why there are so many bad reviews. We had a room on the 4th floor and the side that faces the roads. The noise wasn’t that audible. It’s close to quite a few places and is very convenient. My staff interactions were fine and I had zero complaints. The rooms were newer and clean. Beds comfortable. No issues and I’d stay here again without hesitation.

We stayed here during our family vacation. The experience was exceptional and at a great price!
Lauren at the desk was very helpful and made us all feel welcome right away. There was a fun event for the hotels going on across the street with music, food trucks and games too! So convenient for dinner and family fun. This was a unique experience with a personal touch, I’d highly recommend staying here.

Excellent experience! Great check-in, Tru fashioned awesome lobby. This is my 3rd experience at a Tru Hilton and have exceeded my expectations for simplicity and comfortable firm bed.

I love that I can bypass the front desk to get to my room when checking in. I use my digital key card and head on my way. Breakfast is great and starts early. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

Love my stay here everyone was so kind hearted and very nice.. I highly recommend this modern hotel with everything so close by , shops, restaurants, entertainment, we stayed here for a softball tournament and would love to come back

I had a great stay at Tru by Hilton Perrysburg Toledo. The hotel is new, clean, and modern with a lot of fun amenities. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I loved the automatic pancake machine that made fresh pancakes for breakfast.

The location was convenient for me as it was close to the highway and some golf courses. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay in Toledo.

Very nice hotel. Staff very friendly. Had a issue and they fixed it right away. Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was impressive for a hotel. Coffee was always hot and available 24/7. Hotel definitely newer and I liked the modern feel it was going for. If in the area will definitely stay again.
