Jamaican spice

AMAZING food so authentic and delicious. The beautiful lil skinny Jamaican girl working the bar and behind the counter is so polite and friendly. The portions are great I had enough food to eat 2 meals out of this dinner special!!!! The goat was super authentic and amazing 🤤🤤🤤🤤 it's hard to find places with chicken like this that is so tender and juicy it just falls off the bone. I come from Detroit to do business in Toledo and Everytime I'm done imma make sure to get me some of that real authentic Jamaican cuisine highly recommend!! Great prices great food great service atmosphere is perfect feels like you really in Jamaica with all the designs and decor I felt so comfortable as a complete stranger and first time customer..... love it!!!!!

First time to the main location. It's huge inside and nice. I was a little confused because everyone else was ordering take out but I was told I could eat in. I opted for the Curry Chicken and Ox Tail combo. Sauteed cabbage and rice. I have to say that the food was just absolutely amazing. So flavorful and delicious. Very generous portions also. Staff were friendly. The owner came out and asked me how I liked everything. I told him it was just very delicious. He saw that I didn't have a beverage (I forgot to order one) and offered me a water. Very kind of him. I don't know why this place isn't packed. I've eaten at the smaller location, which was my first, and now the main location. Both times the food has just been top notch. Seasoned just right. Generous portions and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.

It was my first time there tonight, as it was referred to by a friend. The atmosphere was great and the food was beyond. Excellent. The Caribbean jerk was absolutely amazing.

Food came out a little slow, but man was it worth the wait. The meat was tender and flavorful (first time having goat and oxtail). The potatoes were cooked well and had great flavor. The mac and cheese is easily in my top 5 if not top 2 mac and cheeses I have ever had. The portions were good for the price. Overall if I lived here I would become a regular.

I love this place! I live closer to the one on Byrne and Dorr, but this one takes the cake. Being able to order using their website now makes me love it even more. My mom really wanted to try Jamaican food, but didn't know where to go, so I told her this is the best place to go. After going through the menu, she decided on Jerk Chicken with rice and peas(dark kidney beans), and a beef patty. I did the same, but got green beans with my meal as well. When picking up, it was a quiet, nice location. Sometimes it is not, but I would enjoy coming out here to dance or have fun. The worker that gave us our online order did not seem excited to be there, but it's fine, I understand. After we got our food, we stopped at the bar to get a frozen Rum punch to go. She tried the food and fell in love. The beef patty is flaky and delicious, still hot like they just took it out of the grease when we got there. The drink is strong and tasty. I know my mother will be back, and so will I. BTW the jerk catfish is really good as well. Try the hot sauce on the side, too!

Food was perfect and customer was great. They said 10min for the order and it was actually 10min and they were busy. I usually go sit in the car till the food is ready but the music and vibe they had going made us stay inside. My dish was the oxtails. They were so tender and well flavored.

I'll have to update this review later because I screwed up and just ordered fried fish with sides, should have ordered a curried or jerk dish. But the catfish was better than just about any catfish I've had in a long time-- fresh tasting and good seasoning. None of that catfish dankness you sometimes encounter. The plantains were good, fried shrimp was excellent and the fried okra good too. Stir fried cabbage was maybe a little overcooked but still nicely herbed.
Nice ginger beer and kola champagne sodas from Jamaica. My dumb @$$ didn't notice the full bar until I had ordered my soda.
Next time I'm getting curry and red stripe and I think I'm gonna love it.

Got it to-go and it was soooo good and flavorful!! They forgot our jerk chicken in the order but they made it right and we enjoyed everything else! Can’t wait to try it again soon.

Never would guess that Toledo would have such amazing, authentic jamaican food.
It is more of a nightclub v restaurant...but there are tables for lunch.

Yesterday was the first time here. I wanted to try food I’ve never tried before and was recommended this place. Decided to dine in and I ordered the jerked chicken and oxtail combo with cabbage and rice&peas ( peas are actually beans) the portions of food was great . I typically fill fast and always have to take home left overs . But when I stay the food was so good I tried my very best to eat it all in one sitting . I had no complaints . I loved everything! Even down to the drink of kola champagne . And I'm very happy I'm just down the road from this restaurant because I'm excited to eat here again :)

The food was amazing, authentic flavor that takes you to Jamaica and back!! I’ll always return here to satisfy my Jamaican food cravings! The only draw back is you can’t place an order over the phone, which means to get food here will take at around 15-20 minutes of you waiting.

Our table of 4 ladies flooded our server Nico with questions simultaneously and he answered each question fully. He made sure each order was accurate before delivering them to the chef. The food was absolutely mouth watering delicious. Colleen and ladies

Wow 😳🤤 the flavor is unbelievable! My first time having Jamaican food and a friend suggested this place to have my first experience. I stopped by on my way home from work. The atmosphere was cool and mellow and Ms. Katy (I hope Im spelling her name right) and the young lady who helped Ms. Katy at the bar were really friendly, inviting, and attentive to service and just made me feel at home while I waited for my carry-out order! I will definitely be coming back. I really loved the coco bread and the cabbage and the goat/carrots/gravy.. Thank you all for the Jamaican Experience 😁

This restaurant is a TREASURE - delicious, authentic coconut bread plantains, cabbage stir fry, and curry goat. It was so yummy. They also have parties on the weekends.

Great food, Spice is right! If you like spicy jerk, this is the p l a c e!!!! I get the oxtail and curry goat most often, I am never disappointed.

This isn’t a good photo because I was in the middle of eating while watching a movie. However if you’re wondering if you should eat here.. yes mam.. yes sir get you some! 😉

If I could, I would’ve given it a 10 star! Have ordered food several times from here, not a single time we were disappointed. It is sooooo good! One of the best places to order food in Toledo. I will recommend it to everyone who likes a bit spicy food! Must try.
One of the limitations is that they never have Coco bread. We wanted to try the bread so many times, but they somehow run out of them all the time. And the dine in option is not ready, but I don’t care as long as I am getting delicious and mouthwatering food! Thankful to the place!

EDIT: Last time we ordered goat, there were only 2 pieces of meat, for an extra large order , all there was is cabbage! I was so sad, but still sticking to the good review, May be it was a bad day for them. I hope they’ll address the issue, and be careful with the take out.

Food melts in ur mouth. I had oxtail cabbage and Mac&cheese. Idk why I ordered a medium. The medium was a get size for medium. But them flavors made me wish I had got large.
