Now, this is pizza!!!!! Perfect amount of sauce and toppings. The cheese is a great blend and taste phenomenal. Mike was very attentive and informative. I will return to this location all the waynfrom Zanesville. Good Job Dirkos! You're now my favorite pizza place...

This is our go-to pizza when we are in Apple Valley. The wings tonight were the BEST! Extra crispy and delicious. Highly recommend!!!

Delicious stuff! I had a Stromboli, regular pepperoni and sausage, and it was brilliant! Lots of cheese, the sausage was crumbly, so no huge overwhelming chunks, and they serve the sauce HOT! For those that are sensitive, it was mildly spicy, but no worse than Grandma's chili (who only made it spice enough to clear the sinuses on a cold winter night, lol). The flavor is very good, though. The sauce seemed thin, compared to the dipping sauce I get at other pizza places, but I don't know if that's common for Stromboli or just the way they make their sauce. Either way, it stuck to the Stromboli when I dipped it, so it's all good.
All in all, I will definitely stop in again if I'm in the neighborhood. Even if I have to drive the hour and something from Shelby to get myself in the neighborhood ;)

The pizzas we ordered were delicious. And the staff was super friendly and helpful. We just moved to town and I think this will be our go to pizza place!

The pizza here is so good. The Kitchen sink and the Chicken Bacon Ranch are our go-to's.

Called on 11/13/20 around 5:45 a few times before I got through, was put on hold for about 5 minutes. They were super busy. Placed an order and was told it would be about an hour for delivery. My order arrived A little past an hour and it was extremely hot, 🙂 and everything tasted excellent. Your delivery driver was very nice and polite. Great job Howard Dirkos!!! Keep doing what you and the staff are doing because it works! You are essential! And definitely worth the wait and money. Thank you All. 🙂

Very delicious and local pizzeria! I was passing through the town for work and was super hungry. I was so delighted to find a local pizza place and then even more delighted to find out how tasty the food was!!! I highly recommend giving them a shot. The service was great and I the pizza yummy!!

Can't speak for the other menu options, but the stromboli and the subs are great. From what I remember, the pizza is alright (I haven't had it in a while), but most everyone I know in town goes there solely for the stromboli and/or the other food choices. Just as a forewarning, I wouldn't suggest going inside to eat since although they do have a dining room; it's pretty small and can be extremely cramped if you have multiple party members or there are other people also in there. If you're by yourself or with one other person, I think you're good though. Overall, I would recommend.

Ordered delivery on a weeknight, and it arrived well inside the 45 minutes they said on the phone. The stromboli (sausage and mushroom) and pizza (chicken and banana peppers) were hot and delicious (especially the stromboli). Only issue I had is that I ordered a salad, and they didn't bring me any plastic ware. Delivering to a hotel room, one should assume a person doesn't have fork and knife in the room. Otherwise fantastic ... and oh ... the prices are amazing.

Tonight we ordered A Stromboli, cause like they're the best in town, but we got our order and it was wrong. Within 20 minutes of my phone call to the store, a correct order was delivered and very friendly. Thanks Dirko's for making a wrong really right, 5 star service😍

First time there. Order early on weekends or expect a wait! I waited 45 minutes on pickup for my Stromboli...worth every second! Will definitely be back!

One word, Stromboli!!!
When I first moved to this town I was told I HAD to try their stromboli. I was at a friend's house and he order it for us. I couldn't believe how good it was. The original "toppings", if you can call them that since they are inside instead of on top like a pizza, are pepperoni and sausage, my favorite toppings anyway. They do allow you to change the toppings, which is nice for others who don't enjoy only meat or meat in general. They have an amazing sauce, their crust is perfection, and the sausage is tiny crumbles (my favorite). I joke about moving here only for this meal. However, do try other items. Their lasagna is really good as well and a fair amount of foods for the price. I do have to admit the pizza isn't as good as the stromboli, which sounds weird since I'm sure it's all the same ingredients. Don't get me wrong, the pizza is good, but there is something about the stromboli that makes it better, I think they put just a little more love in making it. And we all know when food is cooked with love it's definitely better. Anyway, I hope you enjoy, I know I do! Oh, and don't plan on left overs, not because they aren't large enough, it's because everyone will love it that much.

Very small hole in the wall place, with bot much staff but the food was Soo worth the wait and the service was great, the Stromboli was great.

Local favorite. Great pizza and Stromboli! Always get it delivered so can’t speak to atmosphere.

Great pizza and Stromboli but they have just about anything you can think of. Food choice variety makes it easy to find something for even picky eaters in the family. Best pizza place in the area.

First this is going to sound weird on a fixed star review of a pizza place. But their pizza is better than average but nothing amazing. Their stramboli though is allife changing. One of the best things I have ever ate.

If you only eat one thing in Mount Vernon let it be Dirko's stromboli. You can order how you want but the original with mozzarella, pepperoni, and sausage is awesome. Sauce on the side.

Absolutely love the pizza and Stromboli!! Every time we camp at Kokosing valley camping and canoe, they deliver right to site!!

OK. So I work here and would like to address a few things. If you want your order on a Friday or Saturday and dont want to wait over an hour on delivery, order ahead of time for a specific time. We are extremely busy those nights. Also, wings with sauce on them WILL NOT BE CRISPY no matter what. They are sauced. We try so hard to make everything meet the expectations of our customers. If you have an issue, just notify us. It will be made right.

Our family loves Dirkos pizza/stromboli! So busy New Years Eve, got someones meatball sub instead of spaghetti! But its all good. I still love their business! Happy New Year!
