These small independent hardware stores are becoming something of an endangered species. The place is tiny, but somehow they have have almost everything you need. Unlike the big box stores, it’s not a clueless 19 year old helping you, but a knowledgeable family member. On the rare occasion they don’t have what you need, they know where to send you. Also I’m writing this in the spring. Buy your seeds, garden plants, and annuals there! Good selection, decent price. Buy local. Keep this place open 😁

first time shopper— walked in with a photo of a dripping water line; the wonderful woman at checkout out taught me how to fix it, pilled the items I’d need, and presto! 10 minutes later I capped my leaking pipe! I’m Castro’s newest fan!!

We've gone to Castro's for years! Olga is a rockstar. They have everything you need, but will also help with suggestions for projects you are working on. We just got all our peppers, tomatoes and other plants. Get there before the end of May! The variety if hanging plants is incredible.

One of my favourite local hardware stores. Super nice people, and the store is different than many other similar places in that it is not covered in dust. They obviously take pride in the place and I love spending money here. They have items that are unique to the neighborhood too.

Castro & Sons Hardware is a convenient place to stop for all your hardware needs. My family came to Cleveland in 1995 and Castro’s Hardware has always been there whenever we needed them. They also have a wide variety of plants and vegetables to pick from every growing season. Castro’s is a local staple on the west side in Cleveland Ohio!

Open on thanksgiving day, was the only place I could get a thermocouple for my old water heater. Super nice lady helped me, and it was cheaper than I could find online. 10/10 would visit again.

Extremely friendly people. I had to wait at least 5 minutes for them to cut the plexiglass for my window. They probably have everything you need. The 1st place I called was Andy's on Pearl rd. They told me it would cost me over $130.00 for a piece of plexiglass. I just saved myself $100. It was $30 at Castros on Clark by W.43rd. I'll definitely be going back there!

They always have what I need. They're very knowledgeable about hardware, unlike a lot of employees at "big box stores". I always shop and support local small businesses in the community.

Came here for the first time today. Way better service than Home Depot and helped me fix the plumbing problem Home Depot couldn’t. Highly recommend and will be coming here first from now on.

9/10 they have exactly what I need and if they don’t I’m always directed to the right place! Definitely make this your go to before stopping at any other hardware store!

No matter what I need for my home improvement, they have it! I don't know the woman's name, but she always knows exactly what I need. This is a REAL hardware store not one of those bulk home diy chain stores. If you have a project go here first.
