April's Country Kitch'n

We actually visited here for an event and didn’t order food, but the staff was attentive and friendly. My daughter won a little contest, along with 8-10 other kids, to bake cookies there with Mrs. Clause. It was really fun and they did get to bake their cookies there and try them, they also provided hot cocoa. Lovely little place.

After moving out of Ohio 9 years ago, April's was my first stop when I returned for a visit. It did not disappoint. The food is seriously good home style cooking and the staff is as friendly as I remember.

Wonderful liver and onions. Mushrooms, hamburgers, French fries, the very best is April's chocolate cake with peanutbutter icing. It is to die for!!!

Wonderful food. We had breakfast and it was great. Server was great! Our first time being there. My brother-in-law and my sister has gone there for over 35 years or more. A wonderful diner.

Wanted to try something new and not a chain place for breakfast. Was Not disappointed, very good food! It was tucked back in a neighborhood off the main streets. Well worth finding. Sausage gravy was great. The omelette with bacon was amazing. Portions were perfect size. And the fried potatoes were so good I almost asked for another order ( but I was full) . Wheel chair accessible, older decor, definitely I'll go back.

Food is great and it's tje atmosphere is so nice

This was our first visit to April's Kitchen .. and the food was fantastic .. we both had the salad bar to start .. Johnnie had the Chopped Steak and Fries (forgot to take picture) and I had the Liver and Onions with Mashed Potatoes w/gravy and corn .. it was all delicious .. our waitress was just as nice as could be .. and April the owner was just as sweet .. look forward to going back when we are in the area ..

Kind of tucked out of the way but worth looking for. A truckers delight to find and get a home style meal.
Unfortunately the salad bar wasn't available so can't comment on that.
But the pies were and the lemon meringue was fresh and to die for!

A nice quiet place to eat. Very welcoming staff, quick service and my omelet rocked!!!
I would go out of my way to eat here again.

Drove to meet our daughter and grandsons, and Newcomerstown is the halfway place for both of us. Chose April's Country Kitch'n for a place to eat. Never been here before, but we can definitely recommend this restaurant now. The food was great, our waitress was friendly, and it's a nice, clean place for a meal. We purposely choose to eat at local, family style restaurants, over a large franchise business. We now have a great place to meet with our family, and enjoy delicious homemade food. Thank you!

Great diner experience. Good breakfast options and liver & onions worthy of a southern state. Servers are straight to the point. No grits.

I'll be honest, when my husband said we were going to this little restaurant 30 minutes away I thought he was crazy, but it came highly recommended by his boss. We found out why and keep going back for more. You will not leave hungry. Extremely affordable and really good food. Lots to choose from but I can't stop ordering the same thing because I love it so much. And multiple flavors of homemade pie served daily.

We've eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner and never been disappointed. Done both dine in and take out. Food is always hot and wonderful!!! Desserts are to die for 😋 !!

My husband enjoyed his chicken salad sandwich and my liver and onions was nicely cooked, not over done . I can say we'll be back
