Half Baked Cafe

I love their baked goods. They're so good, yummy, fresh and just amazing. Today my hubby surprised me with a lemon bar and it's the most delicious lemon bar I've ever had! I like their raspberry chocolate and chocolate covered strawberry macarons as well. Oh, and their Thanksgiving pecan pie is outstanding!!
Their hours are always weird and feel kind of rand but if you're determined and live nearby you can stop by there every once in a while for a delicious treat!

Last minute my family member wasn’t able to make sweets for my daughters first birthday. I went into half baked and the lady that helped me (so sorry didn’t catch her name) was so nice and was able to get my order in right away - a week before my daughters birthday! We ordered cupcakes, cake pops and macaroons! They were so beautiful and oh man were they tasty! My daughter loved her first cupcake! Highly recommend for your next party for sure!

We grabbed some freshly made baked goods and they were amazing! Fantastic selection. Super friendly and helpful staff. We look forward to ordering food in the future.

We just popped in after seeing they had pierogi on their menu. We ended up taking home a few varieties and I added a brisket and egg on a waffle. Best thing I have ever eaten! Owner is super cool and welcoming. Can't wait to go back for thier other options and the Apple festival 🤗🦥💥❤🤙

Stopped in for the first time, the owner and staff was super friendly and informative. All of the treats were made on site, and are delicious. I got a funfetti cupcake and a mini lemon cream puff. I also got a Jamaica me happy iced coffee, made with locally sourced coffee beans, ah-ma-zing! Highly recommend!

Wonderful experience with this bakery! We ordered our daughter’s smash cake for pictures and another smash cake and cupcakes for her birthday party! Everyone commented on how delicious they were! I was very pleased with how they looked, too!! The shop was very quick to respond to my questions and requests! I will definitely be ordering from here again!

Super cute place. It smelled wonderful as soon as I walked in. They had a rather large coffee selection that tasted wonderful. The bakery cases were filled with yummy goodness. I did not get the employee's name, but she was very nice and welcoming.

Dude is off the chain, the place is amazing! It is a must if you are in Mount Vernon. If you are passing through Mount Vernon you should stop. The cheesecakes are amazing the macaroons are killer and the cookies are just amazing, buy some. In multiple trips everything has been amazing. They run out of things sometimes, quality over quantity, so stop by early and see the full selection of quality baked goods and food. Now stop reading this review and go get some for yourself!

we ordered special cupcakes for our co-worker everyone calls the chicken lady because she has her own chicken coop and pet hens, the cupcakes for her birthday today are adorable and sooooooo delicious !!!! she was so happy with them, thank you for fantastic cupcakes and service =) everyone at our office is excited to try your sandwhiches too !

Macarons to die for and the lemon bar is out of this world. Do yourself a favor and grab a couple of the Ugly bars too but get more than one because no one wants to share. A new favorite- we’ll be back!

Excellent, friendly customer service. Great selection of delicious desserts. Recently had the bacon spinach quiche. 10/10 definitely recommend!!

Every time I'm near, I stop in and every time I'm met with a hearty greating from Chef Nav. They always have some top notch goodies and the staff are always very welcoming. I'd HIGHLY recommend!

This place is delightful! The first sensation when opening the door is the sweet sugary smells that hit your nostrils. You are guaranteed to see some whimsical decor and great big smiles. Nav and his staff are excellent! I always leave smiling and I love bringing friends and hearing the awe I had when I first visited.

There's always a variety of desserts and coffee and if there's some left you will also find several tasty lunch items. I have yet to come across something I didn't like here. There is a good selection of gluten-free items as well!

You must visit this charming shop ASAP the next time you have a sugar craving! You won't be disappointed!

We love visiting half baked. We enjoy chatting with the chef/owner when we visit each time, and he is always willing to tell you all about the menu. There isn't an item you can find that will disappoint you in my opinion. Perogis and macaroons you never knew you needed.

Great place! We went in for a birthday cupcake and some coffee. The gentleman behind the counter was super friendly and described each thing in the case to us. It all looked so delicious! My red velvet cupcake was wonderful. We preordered a Thanksgiving pie. It was delicious as well and had the prettiest fall leaves on top. Our family enjoyed it very much and we’re planning on ordering a cake for Christmas.

The cinnamon coffee cake macaron is the best! Excellent service!

Stopped in today because they were one of a handful of open places downtown. We tried the macaroons, and they were perfect! Awesome flavor and texture. The people were so friendly and helpful, and pointed us to another great local place for lunch. Will be back next time we’re in Mt. Vernon!

Best bakery in my 40 years in Knox County! Everything is good, and to my tastes not too sweet. I won't mention my favorites because there won't be any for me!! Owner and staff are also awesome. Highly recommended.

Stopped today (1/9/2020) while running errands to check out. I got a couple of scones and they are the best scones I've ever had! I can't wait to go back! The gentleman that helped me was very nice and very helpful. Lovely place!
