I highly recommend Doug’s Garage. His shop is located just over the hill from my home and I know that we can drop vehicles over day or night no matter what and he’ll take care of us at a fair price. Just last week we brought our VW Jetta in at 10:30 pm and were able to call Doug’s wife Michelle to let her know what was going on. Doug’s Garage is a family run business and they’ll treat you as such. Know you’re in good hands when bringing vehicles to Doug.

Was on my way to PA and car broke down. Was 160 miles from home. Roadside service had my car towed there. It happened over the fourth of July. Doug did a great job. Got it running again. Am very happy. Recommend him highly.

So....let me set the stage for you before I tell you about a great garage and a fantastic mechanic. My wife and I were at Seneca Lake to enjoy some time on the water in a 27 foot pontoon boat. I had just launched the boat into the water when I felt my foot go all the way to the floor on the brake pedal. It was very obvious that I blown a brake line (as evidenced by the smoke, smell and brake fluid spewing out). Talk about a dilemma... 3200 pound boat in the water, 500 pound trailer hitched to my truck, and little to no braking functionality.
My wife quickly queried the faithful smart phone and found several garages in the area...but only one that opened at seven in the morning. We called the next morning at 0701 and Doug answered with a "Yes, we are open.". After my wife explained the circumstances of our emergency, Doug told us to get it to him and he would do whatever he could for us, reassuring us that he would fit us in "today".
With my wife leading in the car, I limped the truck over 19 miles of winding, hilly country roads. Doug's garage is definitely off the beaten path; then again, it seems that everything is off the beaten path in that part of the state. So, we made it to Doug's garage in Quaker City and were greeted by Doug himself and his friendly dog Bella. Doug told me he would get it up on the lift as quickly as he could and call us with an estimate. Within 15 minutes, even before we got back to the lake, Doug called, gave us an incredible deal of an estimate and we authorized the work. Doug then worked on my truck until it was finished despite other vehicles being in the shop awaiting repairs. When I went to retrieve it, his wife finalized the paperwork, Doug showed me what work he had done and with a smile, an exceptional price and a handshake we were back in business.

If you are ever in need of any repairs while camping at the lake or just in that general vicinity...Doug's garage is where you want to go. Oh, and we managed to enjoy a full six hours on the lake the next day and get the boat out of the water safely with brakes that work. All thanks to Doug.
