City Barbeque

I’m from NC and live in TX. It’s hard to find good BBQ in certain parts of the country and I would have never expected to find a hidden gem in Beavercreek Ohio. Is this the best BBQ I’ve ever had? No. Is it probably the best BBQ you can get around Dayton Ohio? Absolutely. The Vinegar slaw is absolute must try at your next visit. In NC, vinegar is a base in BBQ. So this was right up my alley.

I have not had 1 experience bad at this location. The staff has always been great here. Doesn't take long to order or receive your food. We did ours to go on this trip. The store is typically busy anytime I have been. The cleanliness is a 5 star as well. I've not used restrooms here to speak on that. Would I recommend going here, Yes. What is my favorite food here. I have a few favorites. My #1 favorite, though, is the smoked sausage I get mine w/ out the coleslaw on it. I don't like coleslaw. If I get a side my #1 is the cornbread pudding. 😋

I got a pickup order for ribs, a Carolina goldmine sandwich, peach cobbler, chocolate cake, and banana pudding. My husband enjoyed the ribs. All of the desserts were fabulous. I didn’t like the sausage on the Carolina goldmine sandwich. There was nothing wrong with it, just didn’t enjoy it. Service was great!

This was one of my favorite restaurants when I lived in the area. The food was always good and if they did miss the mark, they made it right every time. The staff were always welcoming and friendly. The smoked turkey and potato salad were family favorites and my personal favorite sandwich was their Nashville Hot Chicken. This place will be missed.

Stopped in today with the kids today and had the pleasure of meeting a manger named Riley. She was beyond helpful, her energy was amazing and she went out of her way to help me with a small issue. I truly appreciate you Riley and hope to see you again when we're back in town.

City Barbeque catered my sister's wedding this weekend and we can't stop talking about how great they were. The food was awesome and the catering staff was so incredible! They were taking polaroids of us when we needed it and even packaged up a "late night snack for the newlyweds" with the leftovers. Overall, we were so impressed with the staff's thoughtfulness. 10/10 would recommend for weddings!

Good food. Clean dining facilities. Great customer service! Overall, it was a great experience. I did get there around 12 p.m., and they were sold out of their smoke ribs already.

This was my first time at City BBQ. The smoked turkey was amazing and so was the potato salad. Honestly, it was all great! The whole place was really clean and the staff were really polite. Best banana pudding I’ve ever had (and I’m Southern)! Highly recommend!

Delicious BBQ, ready to serve right away since it’s been smoked for many hours ahead of time. Great variety of the classic BBQ sauce flavors.

Great customer service! Ordered a small plate for my family, and got a ton of free sides. Staff is so friendly and willing to help you with whatever you need. Food was fairly good, but not outstanding. 9/10, would recommend.

Edit: They really care about their customers. I’ve looked through at most of the reviews, and they all have replies from the business. I would support them every day if I lived closer.

City Barbecue always has amazing food. Their meat is cooked to perfection, they have amazing sauces, and their side dishes taste just like grandma used to make. Their staff are very friendly and helpful, and the food is usually ready quickly. My coworkers make a point of visiting every time we have a trip to Dayton, it's an office favorite!

We placed a last minute 4th of July order here (on the holiday) and they couldn’t have been more gracious. The portions were huge, we especially loved the pulled pork and the bacon green beans. It was such a hit that we ordered a family pack to go tonight and it once again exceeded our expectations. We love patronizing local and will definitely be back.

I had the pulled pork sandwich. Pricier than it once was, but what isn't? For the money, it's quite large. Loads of delicious pulled pork, falling off the bun. Sides are acceptable if not exceptional. A friend loves the banana pudding. Good place for barbecue!

Best BBQ I have tasted and beats some in Texas for sure! The sweet smokey flavor of the lean pulled pork left a delightful taste wanting more. The lean ultra trimmed brisket was so flavorful and tender without all the fat. The baked beans were like a dessert with a sweet molasses base. Collard greens are just tough to get right, but they did well with a hint of heat and a nice taste that just says Hello BBQ. The cobbler is a nice fruity dish with cake on top! I really enjoyed the rustic experience and flavorful dishes. The portions are 2x the size of any BBQ place I have gone to recently, so plan to take home or share.

Food was great. Got the 2 meats 2 sides. Fairly priced and portioned well. Got the pulled pork and brisket with the hush puppies and green beans. Great house-made sauces too.

Don’t hesitate to go here for great BBQ! Food portions were perfect (I couldn’t even eat it all)! I can’t wait to come back and try some of their other menu options!

I love the atmosphere, the food and the nice people behind the registers and in the kitchen. We sadly don't have anything like this back home.
I got the Pulled Pork Sandwich with the incredible potato salad and some hush puppies. On top of that there was free fried pickles and those really took the cake. Fried perfectly and with some nice sauces.
The restaurant itself is clean and it's awesomely decorated. The next time I'll visit I'm gonna have another meal there.

Great menu selection, great food and reasonably priced. I got the city sampler which included pulled pork, brisket, turkey, and sausage, with a side of fries and mac and cheese, it was delicious! My sister got pulled pork with coleslaw over it, no bun, and collard greens. My city sampler also included Texas and we ordered peach cobbler for dessert. It was fantastic!

I decided to grab dinner to go. Got pulled pork and brisket, along with corn pudding and slaw. Everything was tasty.
