We were previously with a different online school. This school is amazing!!! I’m so happy with them!!! My kids are learning quickly. The curriculum is awesome!!! & I love the teachers too!!! I have 2 students. One in 2nd grade & one in 5th grade. I can’t say enough good about this school!!!

We love Great River Connections academy! The Principals are so personable, ready to talk to you when ever you need them. The teaching staff is also very attentive and great to work with.

So far so good. This is our first year enrolling our son. Process has been pretty cut and dry. Just make sure you have immunization records and prior school years grades before you start enrollment process

I really thought that when we enrolled, this would be a good fit for our family as a virtual school. I was led to believe my children would get 1 hour per subject with their teacher (it was almost pitched like it was 1:1 time). Unfortunately, my youngest only gets 2 hours a week in a larger classroom setting (out of the 27.5 hrs required for each week), and no dedicated time for social studies & science. I've even asked for additional classes in hope that there would be more dedicated time with a teacher (still waiting after several weeks), as I also need to work with my daughter throughout the week as well. She, at least, receives 3-4 hours of time with instructors and for all of her enrolled subjects. We supplement her school by paying for extra classes outside of GRCA and by paying for a tutor. Neither of these were options I was anticipating we would need by going with GRCA. Because of this imbalance of time with teachers and having 2 younger kids enrolled here, we are looking at alternatives for next semester that is a better teacher-led vs parent-led ratio of education.

We completed kindergarten there last year. I would say for older kids the curriculum may be ok but for younger kids it is either way too complex (geometry for kindergarteners) or too simplistic and repetitive. It is also quite time consuming for the learning coach. Many shed tears through the year(mine and his). We also switched teachers mid year because he needed a more engaged teacher for his live lessons.

They tend to forget to mention when talking to a representative several times that your child is on a waiting list and isin't even going to be enrolled. And they want everything under the sun. They could have told me up front. It wasn't right after I got all the stuff together and couldn't even get my son enrolled. You wasted my time. I could have looked at another online school that does have a opening. Your not the only fish of the sea.

Worse school ever, if you transfer mid semester they make you take end of semester exam and I didn't know half of it. Teachers very rude, never want to help. Principal is rude as well. I do not recommend this school at all. Please stay away from it!
