These folks are a couple of the nicest people. Years ago I took a computer here to be fixed and had a great experience. Recently I went here to get something notarized. In both situations, the staff has had great communication and the prices are very reasonable. You can tell they enjoy what they are doing and dedicated to the customer experience.

Replaced my keyboard for 1/2 the price as the other Columbus computer repair companies! Jeff took time to talk me through the issues and what was needed to fix them. After I got my computer back I realized there was a new issue, and he let me come back in and fix that at no cost. Customer service was great! Thank you!

Jeff and the staff at Downtown Computers were friendly and super helpful on my computer repair. Diagnosed my issue, let me get the part I wanted and brought it in for install and stress test.

They are a busy bunch and it will take a few days to get your work done (3 for me) but know that they will do it right and not charge you an arm and a leg.

Jeff and the rest of the staff were very professional. We had some hiccups I'm parts available ility that they quickly gave me different options for. Even though the timetable issues were solely in the hands of the manufacturers, Jeff took ownership and even helped out with some costs.

First things first - MAKE SURE YOU KNOW THERE IS A 40$ DIAGNOSTIC FEE YOU PAY UP FRONT!! The website lets you know this, don't be surprised!
That said, THANK GOD FOR THIS PLACE!!! My laptop fell off the couch and stopped booting. A friend checked it out and told me it was the hard disk; purchased a new one and took it to Downtown Computers to be replaced. Receptionist up front is so nice (sorry I forgot her name!). Jeff, the technician taking care of my laptop, was up front from the very beginning that he worried the motherboard may be affected and let me know that my expectations of just a hard disk issue may be misplaced. Thankfully after the diagnostic tests, he called to let me know it was indeed just the hard disk. They replaced it, re-installed Windows for me (I thought I was going to have to buy a new version, phew!), ran it for a couple days, then let me know I could come pick it up. Laptop is running like a brand new machine! In the end, including diagnostic fee, it cost me all of 80$ to have to my baby fixed up and running again, just in time to go back to school. I expected to pay closer to 150, honestly. I am so grateful to DC and to Jeff and the staff.

My computer tanked first thing Monday morning when I got to work...they had it fixed and ready to be picked up on my way in the next morning for under $100! Helpful and friendly customer service by their front desk person too.

I called in looking for a repair, sadly they didn’t offer the particular service I was looking for. However, who I talked to over the phone was very transparent with all the details of the process, and was incredibly kind and helpful! They directed me to other resources where I could find what I was looking for, so overall a very honest and customer focused experience!

I have been a loyal customer of Downtown Computers for several decades.

I work for a newspaper [that I will not name here] that uses extremely-outdated computer equipment. When our equipment fails [which it does at times], Downtown Computers is often able to get us "up and running" without much "down time."

I also use outdated computer equipment at my home [in addition to newer equipment]. Downtown Computers has helped me out several times by getting a nearly-dead computer back and running; at least twice, they have been able to recover data from the hard disk of a completely-dead computer that cannot be repaired.

The main entrance for Downtown Computers is at the rear of the building; the address of their parking lot [which will be more helpful than their "real" address if you are traveling there by car or by Uber] is 410 E. Capitol St.

I am so glad a friend suggested I bring my laptop here. Andrea assessed the situation and then went way beyond her job description to advocate for me with an outside vendor and resolve an issue I was having. I will have all work done here in the future.

While they didn't have a rare cable I was looking for, they helped me test out a cable, and then recommended the next local place where I could find what I needed. Excellent friendly customer service!
