AC Hotel by Marriott Columbus Downtown, OH

We had our wedding room block at the AC downtown Columbus and we couldn’t have been happier. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating and the rooms were modern and chic. If the rooms were available, they let some of our guests check in early, which was a huge plus! I booked a separate King Suite to get ready in the day of the wedding and it had plenty of space for my bridesmaids, hair dresser and makeup artist .

Our friends loved how close the hotel was to The North Market and the Short North and the rooftop bar, Lumin, was a lovely spot for a nightcap! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the AC and highly recommend it for a great, downtown stay!

First, the staff here is amazing! From the lobby front desk staff to Michelle on the 8th floor in the restaurant - everyone has been so friendly and helpful.

This is my first trip to Columbus so I have had many questions on the area during my stay, needed directions on where to go, etc. The team here has helped me navigate the city and feel welcome and comfortable.

Second, my room is absolutely lovely and very clean. It does overlook the highway so there is some traffic noise but there is a noise machine in the room that has helped immensely. My tip - bring earplugs (I bring them everywhere).

Loved how easy it was to get to this hotel from the highway. It was perfectly situated for our plans for the weekend. We walked to a show at Kemba Live. Then, we spent the rest of our time walking around and exploring all the area has to offer. A couple trips into the market across the street, some fun restaurants, and then back to our hotel to regroup.
The beds and pillows were super comfy. The shower is amazing. As others have said, the frosted door on the bathroom was a bit weird but we got used to it, and so is the fact that there is no fan in the bathroom to drown out normal bathroom sounds (who wants to be heard taking a number two? 🙂) . And, I've never sat on a square toilet before ! I was thankful for my little bag that had cotton balls q-tips and a nail file. The White noise machine was cool also. Though the sounds from the live music across the street did not bother us, I could see why others might have a difficult time with it.
From reading other reviews, we were prepared for the valet parking. Our valet was actually super helpful in recommending a couple of restaurants that we walked to for drinks and food.
All in all, a wonderful experience.

Very nice upscale hotel.

Location is good, near lots of shopping and lots of food options!!! Also near the Crew stadium and just down the street from a super cute little quiet park with lots of walking paths. The only bummer is the club directly across the street that was bumping profane music, which was kind of annoying.

DON'T park in the parking adjacent to the hotel in the liquor store parking lot. It looks like you can pay to park but the church reserves the lot for Sundays so you WILL GET TOWED if your car is in there overnight. We didn't realize it said 3am, not 3pm, so both our car and my father in-law's car got towed. Luckily the tow lot is just .9miles down the street so just a walk away.
I guess we'll just valet and stay in the hotel parking lot next time, would be worth it.

Cute rooms! Very nice, clean, tidy, well laid out with lots of little amenities throughout for how compact the room is. Big bathroom, which is nice!!!
LOTS of outsets and USB outlets for charging.

Definitely no view in the room we had though. We could just see the cement ceiling part of whatever hotel structure is below us. They could possibly put some decor or something low maintenance out there just for some sort of view.

The room coffee was decent! I appreciated the two creamers included, some hotels don't include any creamer, which it at that point the coffee is pointless to me. Luckiy my fiance drinks his black so I was able to use the creamers. I appreciated this little detail.

I also do like the full size shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the rooms, as sometimes those tiny little things don't even have enough in one for my hair alone let alone anyone else that is staying with me.

We had these rooms on points so value for the price I'm honestly not sure. But I definitey wasn't dissappointed by any means!

This is the second year in a row I have stayed at this hotel and I think it's where I will return to each year.

Modern, updated and clean, this hotel has everything I need.

I enjoyed the Continental breakfast upstairs on the balcony overlooking the city. Wait staff was sweet and friendly.

I also had lunch here, they have great food and wine.

Downstairs at the front desk you will find the usually hotel amenities but because it's Columbus you will also find Jenni's icecream in the fridge! Treat yourself to this local treat!

Easy walking distance to the convention center.

The AC is my go-to hotel whenever I'm in Columbus. The rooms are spacious, very clean and have everything you need. The location is very accessible and walking distance from central areas. The staff has been superb each time, and I would especially like to shoutout Jessica, who was very helpful and went above and beyond during my last stay.

As others have noted, the highway-facing rooms can get a bit loud at night, so something to consider if you're a light sleeper.

Overall a great hotel and highly recommend if you're in Columbus!

So I wondered how this hotel would be. Very close to the convention center and right on the freeway.

They never disappointed. The front desk staff were always friendly and helpful. The place was always quiet. Great views from the room. The room was always made up so nicely. Bed was comfy and pillows were firm.

The rooftop bar was pricey, but that seems standard for bars/hotels like this. The online menu didn’t match what they had so I went elsewhere.

A Bonvoy member, usually stay at Courtyards. This was my first AC property and I'm hooked. Really nice, staff exceptional.
Rooftop bar/restaurant was also impressive.

you wanna talk great guest services? this staff went over the top for me when they heard it was my birthday. macaroons and champagne in the room, and was able to honor by Suite Upgrade for a memorable solo working birthday trip. great location, walkable to multiple great restaurants. rooftop bar and restaurant. fast valet parking. look forward to staying here again.

One of the best hotels I stayed in , very clean and great service, The meeting rooms on top floor was amazing. Dinner was good, and the views were amazing.
Breakfast during the week was based on the French vibe and weekend. Bacon and eggs , great expresso machine , staff willing to out of the way to make your stay great and worry free

Check-in on Fri, Dec 1. In town for convention that began at 2p. Check-in not until 4p. Called hotel at 9a on Dec 1, they told me to come in for an early check-in! Provided me a room at 10a that day without any issue whatsoever. Check-in was a breeze and the staff are amazingly kind and courteous. Valet available with unlimited in/out is nice as well. Hotel is very clean, bright, updated, and my room was awesome. Forgot to pack toothpaste and they provided that to me complimentary as well. Next day is more of the same exceptional service from the desk to housekeeping. Very lovely lady maintained our room and was extremely patient and detail oriented. Was meeting a friend and their kids the next day for a Holiday Hop in the Short North, and needed to print out some maps for them. Hotel staff printed those for us as well. At every turn, the hotel was willing to bend over backwards where they could to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable. Again, checkout was a breeze and valet had our vehicle ready to go. Hotel was very comfortable, and now we have a place to stay every time we shoot down to CBUS for a visit. Very close to German Village and many other sites. Highly recommend this hotel! A+

Stayed at this location for Business Travel. Room was very clean and neat. Bathroom was very well stocked with towels, soap, body wash, and shampoo/conditioner. The kitchen hours, especially for breakfast (opened at 6:30a), was perfect for my needs. I also appreciate their concierge area that has snacks, drinks and other items.

My room wasn't ready when I arrived so there was a bit of a wait but the staff was as accommodating as they could have been and was really apologetic for the wait. There is valet parking only here and I didn't know that beforehand but it wasn't that big of a deal. My room was clean, spacious, and gorgeous. Had a nice view of the park (and the interstate)!

Very nice hotel with excellent and friendly service. Great location that allowed us to walk to some of our favorite restaurants and the Nationwide Arena. Everything was clean, modern looking, and very comfortable. The only thing to be aware of is that parking is valet only and costs $30ish dollars per night. We would definitely stay here again!

Right next to North Market and Goodale Park in the Short North district of Columbus. The team is very friendly and made us feel welcome in our nice room. Parking is valet at $33/night so be sure to budget for it. The rooms don't come with a microwave, but you can request one for free.

They have a cool rooftop bar with tapas that is upscale, so definitely worth visiting to check the great views (bring a jacket) with a menu that's priced for the view with small plate size portions. Friendly crew, and happy visitors, with a happy and peaceful general atmosphere.

Clean, newer European feel hotel. Pretty standard service, the rooms were nice and clean. I enjoyed the rain shower head. If I was to have a complaint, it's a bit of a noisy hotel. There is a rooftop bar (8th floor) then construction on the street. I'm not a light sleeper at all but room felt noisy. Still in a good location near the convention center and arena. Very walkable.

Everything was so amazing! The views were so nice! Our room overlooked Goodale Park which is gorgeous this time of year. The food was so flavorful and fresh! We left to go bar hopping and ended up coming back because we wanted to enjoy more cocktails and delicious food 😋
The staff were all so nice and the location is just a great spot. The North Market is across the street and such a fun place to visit. We will definitely be back!

Nice property and great location. The upstairs bar is really nice and the food was good. Madison and Maygag were very nice to talk to and friendly. I felt appreciated as a higher tier Marriott Bonvoy member.

Staff were very helpful and kind. We had a really nice stay. Beds and pillows are comfy. The rooms are not carpeted, which was nice in some ways, but also made the room feel less cozy. The bathroom door is frosted sliding glass with no latch, so be aware if you're planning to share a room with someone you don't know well. Although they serve breakfast in a smashing top floor lounge/bar and I don't mind paying for my food, it was a $19+ buffet. This was my biggest disappointment since I only want an egg and a piece of fruit and that was too costly for four days of breakfast.
