Sake Bon 1

What a surprise! We needed to grab an early dinner before the Bonnie Raitt concert and decided to try someplace we hadn't been before. SAKE Bon got very good reviews (well deserved), so we gave it a try. First, Renee, our wait staff, was outstanding. She was attentive and answered all our questions. The food was delicious. I got Salmon teriyaki, and my husband had short ribs. Yum. We'll be back!

Listen, when I was a kid, I loved the hibachi hijinks. All the little tricks and jokes the chef would play, they were great, but I'm old now and all I want is my food. Sure I like to watch it being made by a seasoned professional, but don't try tossing shrimp into my mouth or tossing your spatulas around like a juggler. Just make the food.

So take out it is, because I don't want to harsh on anyones vibe, and if you're going to a hibachi then you're going for the fan fair. Ordered over the phone, going with the calamari hibachi diner with the fried rice for pickup an hour later. Total came to a little under $29, not bad, especially for the sheer amount of food they give you in a hibachi diner.

Pickup was easy, the staff was nice and attentive, so I tipped and was on my way home with my meal. Once home I opened everything up, and I was not wrong about how much food you get. There's of course the calamari, the fried rice, but also sautéed vegetables, clear soup, a ginger salad, and even some noodles. It was clear I was in for a full tummy.

Started with the salad and soup, which were both delicious and refreshing, the ginger dressing on the salad was a tad watery but the soup was perfect. Then I kind of picked at everything else till I ate it all. The fried rice and great, with little chunks of fried egg in it. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, with some great savory flavor. The noodles were surprisingly fantastic, a little dry at first but I mixed them in with leftover sauce from the calamari and they really came to life. Now the calamari, was overcooked. It was rubbery as heck, very chewy and squeaky, and there were no tentacles! It was all just the tubes, I think? They were this weird spiral looking calamari I have never seen before, but when I think of calamari I think tentacles and rings. So I was a bit disappointed about that. They also had almost no flavor, and I had to rely heavily upon the sauces they included.

Overall, I'd still come back, but maybe not for the calamari diner. Perhaps I should try the shrimp next time?

The food is good and the service was excellent. I also like the ambiance.

Food was absolutely amazing. The best crab Rangoons I have ever had. The side of hibachi steak was cooked to perfection. The rolls were absolutely amazing (wagyu roll, minus the asparagus and jalapeño + sakebon roll, minus the mango and avocado). If you’re a texture person, I don’t suggest the wagyu roll. The Beef Negimaki was phenomenal, too many scallions for me personally in the middle but my boyfriend thought it was perfect the way it was.

Had an excellent meal here tonight. The Spicy Thai chicken soup was awesome! One of the best soups I have ever had. Nice spice and loaded with chicken and veggies. The Naruto roll was very fresh and tasty as well. I will be back when I'm in the area and try other dishes. Thanks for a great meal! Came back a 2nd time and same experience!

Seamless transaction for lunch pick up ordered online. Emailed receipt said ready in 30minutes. I sent a message along with the order stating I wouldn’t arrive for approx 1.5hrs (lol traveling nurse) . Food was ready upon arrival , hot & packaged appropriately . Utensils/napkins provided. Excellent costumer service & great value for lunch . Hibachi combo (steak / chicken) along with provided fried rice , veggies & noodles were great 👌🏼
Avocado & sweet potato spring roll was excellent . Clear soup was as expected . I wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Today (6/19/24) was our first visit to this restaurant. The food and service were excellent. The facility itself looks very good and clean. We will dine there again and expect it to become one of our favorites.

This place never disappoints. Every time I'm in Albany, I always end up at this restaurant. The food always comes out fresh and hot and the staff is very friendly. It's always clean inside and out. This restaurant deserves a 10/10 in my opinion.

Went here for lunch with 4 coworkers (this was my first time). Awesome spot. Pretty upscale and sleek for a local strip mall. Food was great with no disappointments. I ordered the chicken Teriyaki lunch special with soup and salad. The salad was not all that, contained one piece of tomato, cucumber, and the rest was lettuce with house dressing. The chicken Teryiyaki was great, full of flavor, rice bowl was kind of small though. I would definitely recommend and revisit again.

First first was a birthday party with about 20 guests. The staff was all very friendly and kept the party atmosphere alive. They were very prompt with their service! Hibachi was a lot of fun and the food was delicious. I went back a few weeks later and ordered sushi, which was just as good as I remembered. Definitely recommend this place.

This PLACE IS A HIDDEN GEM!! When you walk into the door you are greeted with a smiling face and a warm and pleasant atmosphere. If you knew this place as the Chinese Buffet....What a FACE LIFT! The food is fantastic. Ken (mgr) and his staff took very good care of us through out the whole evening. If you want Hibachi, they have them 4 or 5 tables (if not more). You will not be disappointed!!!

This place was extremely accommodating I breast feed and like to do so in somewhat privacy. They sat me in a closed of section and the extremely busy bartender still gave us exceptional service. Way better staff and food presentation then others in the area.

Great experience! The staff is very friendly, the quality of the food is great, one of the things that is noticeable about this place is the cleanliness. Please try the hibachi table, you will have fun. There is no much happening in Clifton Park food wise but this place is a must if you are in the area.

Treated us like royalty. This is definitely a revisit. We hammered down some sake and the price wasn’t offensive. Sushi was fresh and I really was feeling the Decour inside. Staff was warm and felt like friends.

Went for dinner with my family. My daughter doesn't really like sushi or rolls so she opted for the fried rice instead and loved it. My wife and I ordered some apps and rolls everything was delicious and fresh. Presentation was amazing. I ordered a bottle of hot saki which it seems comes buy one get one, but only wanted one so our waiter gave us dessert on the house, the fried green tea ice cream was so good. Everything was amazing we will be going back soon.

I liked red clam sushi here. Tomyum soup is yummy and seafood are fresh.
It is a combination of Thai and Japanese cuisine.

First time here! Absolutely loved it, the sushi was incredible, as were the chocolate martinis!!! Also had hibachi, outta this world!! Can't wait to go back!!

This place is a hidden gem in Clifton Park. The food is exceptional and the servers are extremely kind.
Since my first review, I continue to come to this spot. Everyone is so friendly and the sushi is always fresh. ♡♡

Amazing food and ambience. If you want a place to indulge in sushi, noodles or other delightful foods, this is it!
The bar is also super conducive to a yummy cocktail and fully stocked with anything your heart desires.
I urge you to go!!
