Sushi Prime 88

With a name like Sushi Prime, you know they have to make good Sushi. That, or they transform into a Kei Truck.

After discovering my taste has matured since I had sushi so many years ago and hated it, I have found a new interest in a food category I had long since abandoned. With so many new options open to me, well, I'm feeling quite satisfied.

Living up to their name the sushi from Sushi Prime was quite good, with my choices being the chicken tempura roll and the CP roll. (along with an appetizer order of calamari, but that's besides the point) In total coming to a little under $30. (before tip)

The chicken tempura, while not as mind blowing as the shrimp tempura I had a few weeks ago, was excellent still. A soft yet savory sushi roll and a crispy chicken core, made for an excellent dinner choice. The CP roll was more along the lines of "interesting" as it had the makings of a crab rangoon, with the crab meat and cream cheese, but the texture of the super thick rice lessened the impact of these two ingredients. The whole roll is also fried, but only ever so lightly, as to give the exterior of the roll a tiny crunch but without the fatty or oily flavor. And while not sushi, it would behoove me to say that the calamari was right on. Super crunchy, with thick chunks of squid, and a sauce that was sweeter than I was expecting but had a nice spicy kick at the back of the throat.

Overall I'd recommend Sushi Prime 88 to anyone looking for good sushi, or even, expand their pallets like mine.

I come here often with my son when he is home and we are looking to get lunch. We always do the all you can eat option, which for the price seems more than worth it. While i wish there was a bit more on the menu, what is available is always delicious, fresh and consistent in quality. Atmosphere is laid back and pleasant, and the servers are always attentive to anything we need. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try if you are craving some sushi at a reasonable price!

One of my favorite place to eat ! The food was very good, the price are fair and the food are delicious! The service was wonderful, I’ve never had a bad experience. I will come back to eat at Sushi Prime 88 again.

Excellent service and fresh food. Can go over for a more formal dinner or a nice lunch with friends & family. Staff were friendly and helpful. If you are gluten free this is the place for you as staff are extremely cautious about what they are cooking and serving you. Definitely will be back, thanks for a nice lunch ☺

One of my favorite spots in Clifton Park for sushi! This restaurant has a traditional Chinese/Japanese menu AND an all you can eat menu! All you do is check the box of what you want, and as long as you eat it all, you can have as much as you want! Their standard kitchen menu has all of the classic favorites like fried rice, lo mein, and General tso's chicken, along with a nightly special. Another thing that I love is that the lunch menu is VERY extensive. Usually, with places like this and most buffets in general, their dinner menu has double the selection of the lunch menu and is much more expensive because of it. This place has an excellent lunch menu and the pricing is very fair. The food comes out quick, hot/cold and very fresh so I have no problem getting in and out of there during a 30 minute lunch break. I definitely recommend this place to go get your sushi itch scratched!

I happen to be staying nearby for work and was craving sushi. I found this location through Google using its search feature and filters for all you can eat. The food was excellent. Sometimes all you can eat sushi can feel a little inexpensive but this place put all the effort into each roll. The Sashimi was nice large pieces and the sushi rolls we're not overly filled with rice. The ingredients tasted extremely fresh and the presentation was definitely above average for an all you can eat establishment. The restaurant was modern clean and very large. The overall atmosphere was a 10/10. There is no doubt I will be back next time I pass through this area for business. I have a few favorite sishi establishments around the Northeast US and this will definitely make it to the regular rotation.

Food is very good. If you get soy paper $1.00 upcharge ask for it to be on the outside. Lunch they have an all you can eat sushi or grill for $15.00. dinner all you can eat sushi and grill is $25.00 well with the price and good food. You can order both grill and sushi, you can only get 2 orders in and don't over order or you get charged a waste fee. Order what you can eat, at the end you get ice cream. They do charge you an 18% gratuity automatically it does state on the menu and on the bill about it.

Loved this restaurant. Food was delicious, servers were amazing, atmosphere was fantastic. We got some dessert as well with the all you can eat sushi. If I lived here, definitely would visit often. Some of our party did complain that their drinks weren’t super cold, but the servers were able to bring them a drink that was more to their liking. Overall I loved it and would recommend it.

Sushi Prime offers a fresh dining experience, emphasizing the quality of their ingredients. While the overall meal I would describe as mediocre, the freshness of the sushi stood out. This spot could be a good choice for those prioritizing ingredient quality, though it may not dazzle those seeking culinary innovation or exceptional flavors.

Great place! Their “all you can eat” option is perfect. You get such a wide variety of foods & flavors for a good price! The smaller portions make it a wonderful option if you’re looking to try a lot of different dishes. Have, and will continue to come back here!

Wow Sushi Prime 88 was amazing. We were super impressed with the friendly and helpful staff and the selection of food available! When you first walk in, it’s beautiful and clean. When it’s time to order your food they bring two sheets over, one with kitchen items and another for sushi. We brought our 6 year old with us so he got various kitchen items instead of sushi. All of the food was delicious and fresh! For the three of us it was around $70 on a Sunday but it’s an all you can eat place that cooks everything fresh for you. We will definitely be back (probably by the end of the week honestly!)
Give this place a try and you won’t be disappointed!

Pictured below is the Tiger roll (top right), the Orange Salmon Maki (top left), and the Burning Salmon (bottom). The food was delicious. They offer both regular dine in service as well as an all you can eat option. The all you can eat option is reasonably priced compared to the other sushi places in the capital region, a pretty good variety of items you can order, both sushi/sashimi and not. The staff was very attentive and nice as well.

Best sushi I've had in a while. The staff was attentive and the food came out fresh and fast. Loved the ambiance. The lighting wasn't too bright and the seating wasn't on top of each other like some other places. We'll definitely return.

Been going here to dine in for all you can eat sushi. Super good. The inside is nice, lots of booths and seating. Not usually too busy. I've also gotten take out and it was good.

I had a great experience here. The food was excellent and the service was top notch. I recommend this place to everyone looking for quality sushi in Clifton Park!

Fantastic sushi. Prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was very inviting. The servers kept up with my larger party and kept the food coming. I prefer this over sushi x any day. Will definitely return. Even was able to get my daughter to try sushi here!

Great sushi, great atmosphere, highly recommend. We went on Sunday so the price was higher but they have more selection than the weekday lunch. We started with appetizers and then got the sushi. We ordered a lot so it was served on a bridge. Depth Bomb was the table's favorite.

Just a couple things to know before going. You're charged for any sushi you can't eat if you order too much. Just order a few at a time and you'll be good. They have no problem with you making multiple orders. The other thing is there's an 18 percent tip automatically applied to your bill. I have no problem with this as the service was excellent.

If those two things aren't a problem for you then I think this place is worth checking out.

We ate here today for all-you-can eat lunch, and this is the third or fourth time we’ve done so. Every time, the food is delicious. Generous portions, great flavor, and excellent presentation. The restaurant is impeccably clean and service is excellent. We will continue to eat here!
