Oishi Asian Cuisine

I brought the hibachi home with me, without the onion tower or sake squirt bottle.

Had a hankering some some asian cuisine but didn't want to just order Panda Express or something, so I looked around for better scored locations and found Oishi among the top.

Ordered online going with the shrimp hibachi meal, an order of the crab rangoon, and spring rolls. All together coming to a little over $32. Was a little worried the order would get cold when I received a notification that it was ready for pickup around 17 minutes before the pickup time I requested, luckily that didn't happen.

When I got home with it I found the paper bag and containers within held in the heat of their respective items pretty well, some of it was a little cooler than I would have liked but not to an off-putting degree.

The hibachi meal comes with clear soup (tastes just like it does at a hibachi), green salad (with the ginger dressing, just like at a hibachi), sautéed shrimp, veggies, and your choice of fried rice or noodles. (I went with the rice) That entire meal was 1 for 1 a hibachi dinner, taking me back to many times I have been to a real sit-down hibachi. Albeit without the embarrassing gimmicks and silly shows the chef will put on, and thank goodness for that.

The crab rangoon was as expected, addictive, almost being polished off before I made it back to my room for dinner. And the spring rolls were alright, probably the least impressive part of my meal, but nothing offensive about them.

I just moved to the area so this was my first time eating at Oishi Asian Cuisine. I don't eat fish so I thought that they wouldn't have anything for me, boy was I wrong. I got the Hibachi Combo with noodles and my friend got a variety of sushi. The hibachi chicken, shrimp, and steak was the best and I'll be going back real soon, I loved the food. My friend told me her sushi was delicious and the freshest she's ever had in the Capital Region. I recommend this restaurant to everyone, five stars!

Could not have been a better experience. We had the sushi and the hibachi. Both were excellent! We had the spicy tuna roll which truly was superb! The service was outstanding. We highly recommend Oishi and look forward to eating there again soon.

I bought a 3 roll lunch special avocado sweet potato roll and spicy crab crunch roll. Both were phenomenal! Order was ready in about 5 mins and Amazing service! It is cozy on the inside with nice colors. Great place to enjoy Asian cuisine.

I deliver for doordash and Uber. These guys are the most humblest I've dealt with no matter if I'm delivering or if I'm ordering directly from them. I literally would wait all day for their food because they're extremely polite and hardworking. And as an added bonus their food is incredibly tasty! Lunch special photo attached, I've never received that much food at such a great price!

My husband and I have been ordering for years now, I've only just realized I've never left a review. This restaurant is known to us for being consistently exceptional. We love their food, and as I saw in another comment, the staff could not possibly be friendlier. We love our Oishi nights!

I have been ordering from here for over a year now and always have a pleasant experience. The food is delicious and always done quickly. It is decently priced. The people there are always so nice as well!

High quality rolls for the best prices in the capital region!! 3 Dinner Rolls Combo (with miso and salad) for $16 - can’t find that price anywhere else! The rolls were sizeable and delicious. Very sweet owners too!

1st time ordering @ Oishi! The avacodo sweet potato roll and coconut shrimp was delicious it came with a thick coconut creme on the side! I also ordered sesame chicken.i tasted this delicious as I was full from above 2 sides. Great prices! My Son will love it!

My wife and I love this place. The sushi rolls are always made to the same high standard every time. The owners are very friendly and work very hard to make every customer happy. I highly recommend you try this hidden gem in Scotia NY.

Very kind staff that provides fast & polite service. The food is excellent & made very fresh.

Wide selection on the menu. Sushi and hibachi is all very simple ingredients but it just tastes so much better from Oishi than other local sushi restaurants. My personal favorites are the pickled radish roll and avocado peanut roll. My kids are wicked picky and love the pan fries noodles. It’s simple, but hey, they eat it!

My fiance and I have been to a ton of Japanese restaurants for sushi and/or hibachi. First, when we walked in we were greeted with kind and friendly smiles. We felt comfortable and happy here. We absolutely love the ginger dressing on the salad. We actually bought a pint and took it home. Everything we ate had so much flavor. We will definitely be back happy to have a restaurant who has excellent interpersonal skills and delicious tasty food.

These are some of the kindest people I've met around here. The young woman who takes the orders is so smiley and bubbly and it's hard to not love her.

The food is also really good! The salmon skin roll I had ordered before was good, but personally I like a little more crunch. Their tempura shrimp roll is amazing and their salmon tastes super fresh!

$11 for the dinner combo may seem a little pricey at first but it includes two rolls of your choice, miso soup, and a salad (even if you order to go). Plus it's really great quality and worth it for the price.

They're awesome and also open late which is cool.

Thrilled with our first visit to Oishi! Staff was excellent, fast and pleasant service, sushi and sashimi fresh. Both of us commented on the salad dressing and soup, which was better than many we've had at similar restaurants. We were in a rush so requested that they serve our sushi and sashimi dinners in to go containers. The presentation was still very nice, and we were able to enjoy a quick dinner. Looking forward to the rest later. While there they efficiently handled a number of takeout customers. Not fancy, but nice for a casual meal at the sushi bar or table service, or takeout. Super convenient location near local schools and plenty of parking. Nice addition to the local restaurant community.

Very cute establishment with a nice variety of sushi and hibachi/tempura style foods. Had several rolls as well as edamame and rangoons and everything was excellent.

Staff was very attentive and welcoming and ensured everything was great.

Will definitely be returning with friends.

Hands down some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. I wish I knew about this place sooner! I usually like to try new restaurants so I don’t typically return to ones I’ve been to but I definitely will be returning. A little hidden gem in the Schenectady region.

Where do I even begin...... the hibachi is by far the best hibachi I have ever had. The online ordering is super convenient and it was ready to go when they said it would be. Portions are a great size and the staff could not possibly be friendlier. Best of luck with your new business. We have been twice now and will return again!!!
