Henry's Tavern

This was a sudden choice for brunch and wow it was a good one, the pictures of the food I had to try to hide I took a few bites, but it looked so good I couldn't wait. They have a really generous brunch menu, with many choices from eggs on waffles and burgers . The pub style atmosphere was very cozy. The wait staff was accommodating and right there whenever we needed anything. The eggs Benedict was a 10! The croissant sliders were so good. We also tried the deviled eggs, they had wonderful strips of maple candied bacon, that alone would have been enough for the visit! Great vibe and food. I'll be back for dinner

Good food. Love their fish and chips! My friend has a burger and it was THE BEST. The service is just a little slow but the food is worth it. We will definitely be coming back.

Henry's Tavern is the perfect place to go downtown if you want some nice comfy food. Their Mac and cheese is wonderful, and the food comes out rather quickly so there's a minimal wait. The staff is what really bumps this place up to 5 stars. They are all so friendly and show so much care for their patrons. It's a great hometown tavern and it is certainly worth visiting.

We've been to Henry's multiple times having 1st gone there for brunch and subsequent times for dinner, drinks and live music. The food is consistently done to perfection. For brunch I order the vegan dream which is a Beyond Burger with avocado, arugula and tomato on a brioche roll served with a small salad. My brunch companion has at times ordered the Bangor Skillet and the Corned Beef Hash and enjoyed each. For dinner I always have the Harvester Salad without feta and with the maple vinaigrette. The amount of almonds and cranberries are plentiful , greens crisp and the dressing a perfect combination. My companion has had the chicken salad, a burger, Cobb Salad, Shepherd Pie and Rueban ( yes we go to Henry's a lot! ). We generally sit at the bar and the bartenders are always friendly and attentive. Live music is appropriate for the space and I love the darker wood "bar" atmosphere which is hard to find in the days of bright light open spaces. Henry's is definitely one of my favorite places to eat, drink and enjoy the atmosphere.

Ordered takeout through their website on a Saturday night at dinner time and it was ready in about 40 minutes just as the website estimated. They got my food quickly when I arrived. I have never eaten in the restaurant before but it seemed like a nice atmosphere. They had a live band, they sounded good but it was very loud, so if you are planning on eating there be aware of that. The food was great, big portions, very reasonable price. The burger (medium well) was quite lean (locally sourced beef) which was actually a nice change compared to other restaurant burgers. I will definitely get Henry’s again!

Great choices of their beer, Brian, one of the Barkeeps, was personable and helpful in recommending fine choices of takeout that could be eaten at the brewery by offering 3 different menus from fine restaurants within a short walking distance.

Stopped in for brunch and a brew. The Eggs Benny was delicious, potatoes were incredible. Staff was very nice and attentive.

Small cozy restaurant. Very busy. Wait for seating was not too bad and DEFINITELY worth the wait.
Robert the waiter was AMAZING!! He was so friendly and very attentive even with having multiple tables.
Of course if you follow my adventures I ordered a Bloody Mary. Nice flavor with a decent amount of spice. Did my salt and pepper thing though just for a bit extra flavor. My daughter got the mimosas of course with pineapple juice. She said it was good.
For foods I ordered the french toast with bacon and a side of scrambled eggs with cheese. They are another place that makes the eggs nice like a frittata. The french toast was good and the bacon was a nice thick cut bacon. Cooked perfectly. My daughter got the #donutsayno. She said it was tasty. My granddaughter got the flappy jacks with bacon and a side of scrambled eggs and cheese. She gave the chef 120 stars LOL. My daughter ordered the pancake pops as a starter. Thick but light and fluffy - so good.
Overall a wonderful experience with great service and delicious foods!!
If you go ask for Robert to be your waiter. You won't be disappointed!!

Got lucky this week, and got in.Henrys is always packed, that should be enough for a review!.

Finally, our second visit, first was neighbors treating us, that don’t buy drinks. I was so bummed when I saw all the current draft choices. But, this week, it was my wife and me… game on.

Blue Moon & Goose Island drafts were great! Their menu is not multi pages, what they display is all you need, so many choices, its hard to choose for lunch or dinner. Since we were here for lunch, we each had French Onion Soup and shared a Buffalo Chicken flatbread. The soup was very flavorful, gooey with cheese, and just the right amount of onions. The flat bread was perfect. I so wanted the poutine fries for an app, but no way I could eat them. The menu has what you want to try. Everyone in there looked like they were enjoying a huge lunch.

The service, top notch, ask for Kristie, a Ballston Spa native, very very friendly and sociable.

I really don’t want to post this, cuz its going to take us longer to get back in, but, the Tavern is great!! You will not be disappointed.

Honestly so happy I finally tried Henry's. Went for an early dinner and the food was amazing! It was so hard to choose what to order since everything sounded amazing. Highly recommend the chicken wings. Super crispy and delicious. And the staff was super friendly. Can't wait to go back.

The only place in the county where you can order a burger and get it the way you like it! I love their chef! Pam is great and makes you feel right at home when you walk through the door!

Great food and great customer service! We started off with the half size Guinness Poutine appetizer which is Henry's hand cut fries smothered with a traditional Guiness brown gravy and cheese curds for $6/$10 full size. For my entree I chose Henry's Mac and Cheese, which is Campanella pasta smothered in a creamy five cheese sauce, and I added chicken for an extra $3, standard mac is $14. Nice ambience to the establishment and a pretty decent size bar.

Great little pub in Ballston Spa. We stopped in on a weekday after a round of golf and sat at the bar for lunch. The service was excellent and we enjoyed the food as well. Only minor criticism is that they could use a little better draft beer list, esp. IPAs.

I've lived in the area for many years and never tried this place. Glad my wife wanted to try it. Really good food and the service was great as well.

Have been many times still have yet to find anything we don’t like! Service is always stellar and I am pretty sure it’s a mom & pop. There were young kiddos there helping out with cleaning. Was nice to see

We were moving into the area and had a few family members up to help with the move and wanted to get something to eat after unloading. So we decided to give Henry's a shot. Well, it was a nice place. Staff is attentive but not overly, which is a plus. The food was delicious and a nice atmosphere. You could watch some preseason football, the race at the track, or baseball on the three TVs I could see from our table. It's really a nice place and comfortable, I can see us going back there again. Stop by Henry's for a great meal or a few cold ones.

Enjoyed a nice poutine with gravy fries at dis place and awesome taking an awesome scrawsome super duper picture of dah awesome poutine wit GUINNESS which is a perfect taste match with this dish idiots for your taste buds INDEED. I realize people are lame idiots not using their brains.

Our waitress was great, but the kitchen was slow getting the food out. We waited nearly an hour at lunch. It was also Columbus Day, so maybe they weren't expecting the crowd they got. I've been there a dozen times and the wait has never been like that. Hopefully, it was a one time thing.
