Esperance Volunteer Fire Department

We recently moved (after 20 years in another county/home) to Esperance. We were stunned to witness our first "flash flood" as it swept down our driveway and flooded our yard (up to 3 feet,) and flooded our basement. We didn't know what to do. We'd never experienced anything like that in 20 years. The Fire Dept. came to our house, checked on us, (we never called,) and when we said our basement was flooded, they sent a team to pump us out and saved all of our equipment. I have never seen such a community of kindness and loyalty in all of my life. All I can say is the best people are found in Esperance! Thank you for welcoming us, keeping us safe, and proving that the human spirit is not lost in a drowning world of hate. Blessings to you all!

I just wanted to highly commend the Esperance Volunteer Ambulance Service. Three weeks ago, my husband was thrown from his horse and sustained some significant injuries. I called for the ambulance, they arrived promptly and took great care of him. He spent 3 days in Albany Med Trauma Unit and is back home recouperating. Thanks so much for everything.
