They don't harass you like some liquor stores choose to do. I guess it it all comes down to whether or not we need to reduce this from the bottom line

Fantastic staff and great selection.

Prices are reasonable and they offer case wine discounts.

They do not have a cooler, but they do have an express chiller if you have a couple minutes to let it chill.

If you're looking for it, solid chance they have it. I couldn't find Smith and Cross anywhere in Albany until I checked with them!! AND the dude working there was super nice.

Best whiskey selection in the area, without a question. Some really unique and special things that are hard to find elsewhere. Better prices than you would expect on rare stuff, whereas some of the big names are priced slightly higher than elsewhere--great deals if you're in the know. Good rum and agave selection too.

You can not ask for a better group of people to run the store. The owner, his family, and employees are always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

Kind of a small shop but packed to the brim. You can pick up the standard stuff as well as some interesting things. As a scotch drinker, I've found a number of unusual selections not seen in other area stores. Owner seems very knowledgeable, has given me many helpful suggestions. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Special orders come in quickly. Prices are reasonable, not the cheapest, but very close. Grapes and Grains is one of my go-to liquor stores in the Capital District.

20% discount on cases of wine (mix and match included), what more do I need to say. Buy, for instance, a case of Ecco Domini, 2 bottles of champagne, and a rose...all 15 bottles are discounted. Very good selection. Knowledgeable staff. Good selection of spirits as well. No refrigeratoration but they have a chiller that can chill your wine in a few minutes. A bit cluttered with stacks of cases in the isles but it's worth the hassle. If they don't carry a particular wine they're very helpful in getting it delivered to the store. 5 stars all the way.

This is a great liquor store, hands down. They carry things you can not find elsewhere, and to make things better yet the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Easily one of the best liquor stores in the capital region.

This is a must visit store. The owner, Jamie Matzdorf is there most of the time. They have everything traditional and lots of things you haven't tried.
I like asking what's good? Give them an idea of what you're looking for and you won't be disappointed with what you take home. Great place for gifts
