Perfectly crisp and meaty empanadas, and the most DECADENT sweet plantains I've ever had. I can't wait to go back again!!

Edit to add: this has now become one of my regular spots and I get a lunch special at LEAST once a week from Zoe's. I send all my friends here because the staff is friendly and the food fills your belly and soul <3

Best mofongo I ever had, piping hot made to order empanadas, and their house made hot sauce is bright, spicy, and delicious. Not to mention the service is very prompt and friendly and it felt like a true family establishment. Run, do not walk, to Zoe's, you won't regret it.

Visiting from Virginia, we were dying to try authentic Puertorican food. And let me tell you, it was heaven. Got a nice jaltera. My picky eaters were happy. The food, the people, the location is divine. I'm definitely coming back when we come to NY again. 100% recommend it.

Our family was apple/pumpkin picking nearby. We were looking for a place to eat and we were happy we stumbled upon Zoe's! The place is very small, and so I recommend you call to ask if there are any available tables. The owner informed us that they are used to having people order take out. You could tell they were a tad flustered, but very apologetic for the delays. The wait was worth it, because as a Puertorican myself, I can tell you that every bite felt like home. Everything was seasoned well, and the portions were satisfying. Small recommendations is having the eating utensils available and a few other things on the appetizers menu like zorullos and mofonguitos!

Great beef stew ! Fresh, seasoned authentically! White rice and black beans were also fresh and delicious! Don’t forget to get a fresh passion fruit juice while you’re at it ! If you’re looking for great Puerto Rican food in the area, this is the place!

Cute spot with amazing Puerto Rican food! After my mom became diagnosed with dementia and her illness progressed, I could no longer enjoy the foods of my childhood...this place brought me back home! Everything from the sanchoco, yuca w/ pickled onions, pernil, down to the jibaritos that you can only find on the island...it was all so delicious and fresh! Definitely worth the trip for some good comfort food🩷 Que Jartera!

Ordered to go, the place is very nicely decorated with scenes of Puerto Rico. The food was very good, I had the steak and onions, wife had chicken stew with rice and red beans. The taste definitely took me back to my mom's home cooking very flavorful and authentic Puerto Rican taste, I will absolutely be returning for more!

My family & I were staying at Lego Land and were looking for a good Spanish place to eat. We found Zoe’s cafe and loved it so much we came back the next day also. Food was delicious, a perfect portion, and staff was very friendly. 10/10, would definitely come back.

Juliana was so welcoming upon entering the restaurant. Ordered bacalaoitos, alcapurrias and shrimp empanadas for appetizers. The shrimp empanadas were out of this world. The dough was light and crispy and the filling was so flavorful. The alcapurrias were massive and flavorful too. Ordered the pernil (roast pork) with rice and pigeon peas and tostones with the real garlicky dip. The rest of the staff were so pleasant too.
If I'm ever in that area again I'll most definitely eat there again.

Everyone is kind and has a great atmosphere. Their food is always amazing. You can tell it's made with the heart of the family!

Excellent food. Great owner and wonderful staff. I have been going here since I found this spot about a year ago. I am from Louisiana. I fancy myself knowing good food, and this is an excellent restaurant.

Just wow! After moving up here finding a good Spanish place is a bit difficult and Zoe’s cafe did it for me in every way with an explosion of flavors, slow cooked pernil and a mojo that you can put on just about anything. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Chicken and beef empanadas were out of this world and the rice and beans were delicious.

Amazing food. First time ordering, the boneless chicken is super good and the chicken and cheese empanadas is on point . Im dominican and this reminded me of my step fathers cooking joey may he rip. 🙏❤ Will be coming back

I walked in and immediately felt like I was in my grandmother's kitchen! The smells were delicious and the food was absolutely perfect!

This place is a hidden gem, I was told since I love empanadas that I "had" to check them out so I did.. and they lived up to the hype! I had their shrimp empanada and it was delicious..perfectly seasoned and full of shrimp. I couldnt get enough and was disappointed when it was gone. Remember when you were a kid and you ate slow to make it last longer? That's what I did..slowed down my bites so I could savor the flavor..hey! That rhymes..lol.. (unintentional rhyme)
I also had rice with pidgeon peas and sweet plantains... they were the perfect compliment to my empanadas.
My only wish was that they had a vegan option. I wanted a black bean & corn empanada but they didnt have that on the menu. Maybe next time?
