Westerner Motel

After reading the review in Google Maps, I selected this motel over the Best Western. Both sounded good, but this one seemed like its local ownership deserved consideration for the tie-breaker. What a little gem! Very clean, comfortable, and decently updated but still with mid-century charm. But for as nice and satisfying as the facility, the management and staff were EXCEPTIONAL. Very courteous and helpful at the desk, and when it counted...Near the S.D. border, we discovered that we had lost a credit card. Almost as soon as we had given up searching our bags and the car, we received a call from the very polite housekeeper. He found the card, and researched their records to get my phone number. We were able to continue our weekend trip without interruption or worry. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Give this wonderful place your business if you are in the area!

Rooms are a little older but clean. Rates are reasonable. Absolutely the friendliest hotel I've ever stayed in.

Very clean and comfortable. We appreciated that it was family owned and enjoyed visiting with them. I'm not a pet person, so was happy to hear they have rooms that are not pet friendly. Plenty of eating options close by. Price was a super value!

Russ at the front desk was accommodating and straight forward. Room was very clean and well maintained. Everything worked. Didn’t know what to expect from this small town local establishment, but my stay was very quiet, comfortable and I left impressed. The 4.6 out of 5 review rating on google maps is well earned.

I had a comfortable and lovely time at Westerner Motel. I stopped overnight in Chadron during a road trip, and I couldn’t have picked a more ideal accommodation to rest in a clean and quiet room while supporting the local small business community. Mardi and Russ are thoughtful and caring owners who run the place with great dedication. We had pleasant conversations that I will certainly remember fondly.

I'm not really a Motel kinda person, but for a quick night and all the reviews looking good, we stopped here for the night. It's definitely not like your typical chain Hotel and a little dated. The owners are very nice and went above and beyond setting us up for a late 12am arrival, even called us to make sure we were good. The room was clean the bedding was clean, and the towels felt fresh. The room didn't smell like you expect in most Motels, the bathroom could use a little work but all in all, I was actually comfortable for the night. I would definitely recommend staying here. I would say 9 out of 10 for Motel staying. The value vs cost too was very good!

great place to stay, was just passing through and looking at the other options in town i pick this one for the good reviews, clean, quiet, price was right, the lady checking me in was awesome.

What a great place to stay at! I picked this off the Google reviews and the fact I've driven past it a few years before. Russ the owner was great and had a lot of information on the area as I was inquiring for a future meet and greet in the town. The rooms were very clean, well stocked with towels and quiet even for a holiday weekend. There's a gazebo that everyone congregates in and our room had a back deck. The owners wife even brought us towels for our bikes to wipe down after the large storm that rolled through the previous night.
The location was great as you can walk to multiple amenities including a cafe, convenience store and laundromat. The eventual meet and greet I have planned would not fit here due to amount of rooms needed but I would stay here regardless, as the hospitality along with pricing was excellent.

What a hidden gem! As motels go, this is as good as as it gets! Super comfortable beds, very clean & fresh! Friendly, accommodating owner on site. Great price for value and easy to locate. Definitely has earned my loyalty for future stays. I highly recommend!

I stayed here in Sept 2021 and really couldn't be happier. I was traveling with no agenda and stopped here on a whim. Their sign said "western friendly". It was not a lie.

I was traveling solo, but all they had left were big rooms. She cut me a break on the rate without me asking. The rooms were super comfortable, huge and absolutely spotless.

When traveling solo, I will absolutely stay here again.

Comfy beds and pillows. Check in was quick and man was very nice. Carpet looks new. Great size fridge with a freezer. A must for me. Nice flat screen TVs and nicely furnished roomy rooms. Microwave too. I’ll definitely stay here again. Alittle pricey, but worth it to park in front of my room!

One of the cleanest motels I have ever stayed at - and I travel a lot. It's American owned and the folks here are very friendly. I spend at least 50 nights annually in motels and this one ranks right at the top for me. The price was also very reasonable at $60 for a single - and that was Saturday night. If you are traveling on a motorcycle like I am, it's also nice to be able to park right in front of your room. This place is worth ending your day a little early.

By far the cleanest and well kept Motel I have stayed in during my month on the road.

Will definitely stay here again. The room was very clean, smelled good and the bed was amazing. I wanted to take the bed home with me. It's a family owned and check in was so fast.

We stopped here on our way home from WY. The owner was the sweetest and so accommodating. The room was clean and just perfect for a quick stop to sleep. Would stay again!

Great owners and a very nice motel. Highly recommended. We asked were to go for supper and Russ told us of a local place to eat. When it was time to go to eat, it was raining and we were on bikes. Russ lent us his car to drive there. You'll never see that at a large chain. By the way, his recommendations to eat at 120 Frydays was perfect. Great rib eye steak for a great price. We will come back here.
