Federal Cigar

I travel to find different cigar shops/lounges. I traveled 2 hours to visit Federal Cigar and I was not disappointed. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Selection and pricing was very good. The lounge downstairs had a great atmosphere. I met some great people. I highly recommend a visit.

One of our favorite places to go! We have only been one other time before, and I was having photos taken for our wedding and asked if we can use the lounge for some pictures. They welcomed us with open arms and treated us like family.
Also, they are Some of the most friendly and knowledgeable workers between the cigar shop and the lounge. We cannot wait to go back.

Gary is the best! Very attentive, funny and he knows the cigars he is selling. I wish every store attendant was like him. Now on the store....ample variety, well arranged. Excellent cigars there like The Tabernacle!

Awesome cigar shop, unfortunately during the day I was busy and couldn’t make it during the opening hours to look through the cigar shop, but I was definitely able to go downstairs and order a cigar and drink. The ship from the outside looks to have a great selection. Going downstairs to the bar was really neat, (we don’t have basements in Texas). It was well taken care of down there, staff was friendly, a bit new too, but we still got taken care of. Wound up going both nights I was there, and enjoyed drinks and different cigars both nights. The selection was great on both cigars and drinks. I will definitely be back next time I visit. Thanks for the good service guys!

Selection and presentation was nice, and captured a very clean, casual but refined atmosphere. Guy running the place (presume the owner) was very chill and gave some quick recommendations as he saw what I picked out before purchasing. Good guy, good shop, nice city. Worth stopping by if you are into cigars for sure.

So first off you're gonna want to go buy a cigar or 2 from the store up top, it closes by 6pm. Then go downstairs to the bar&lounge that stays open late. They offer some pretty good drinks, albeit kinda expensive, but the atmosphere is definitely worth it.

Visited Portsmouth in November '21 and I have to say this was my favorite stop of the entire vacation. A great selection of cigars, very helpful and chill staff, and the perfect bar downstairs to enjoy a nice cigar and glass of whiskey. Will definitely be heading back!

Very friendly staff. They helped me pick out a couple fancy cigars for a gift. I know nothing about cigars, and they were very patient and explained some great options. The person loved the cigars so much that he later went to buy more and visit the cigar lounge.

Great shop with lots of options and super helpful staff. Easy to access and prices were on par with what you would expect. Best part overall is the cigar bar downstairs. Cannot remember the last time I was able to sit in a bar and smoke cigars while getting good drinks and watching sports. Really cool place to check out.

Best cigar bar I've ever been to. Great ventilation. Always welcoming to all levels of experience with cigars, nice marble counters, clean cut staff. Luxury. Definitely where you want to spend an hour out of the sun!!! And the "Man Cave" lounge is amazing. Bring the lady, she'll love it too!!

The staff is always knowledgeable and friendly. The selection of tobacco for pipes is rather large, the cigar selection is enormous. The whiskey bar is perfect for people who are just getting into this, the staff walks you through the entire process to get the most out of your experience.

We had a great experience shopping for cigars with the attentive and entertaining assistance of Gary. He did not hesitate to share some knowledge and help us make educated decisions - not to mention give us more than a few laughs. Drop in and enjoy this amazing store!

One of the best! The staff is extremely pleasant and professional. Cigar selection is terrific. The lounge itself is the most comfortable lounge I’ve ever been to.

I enjoy a nice cigar and a scotch, especially when it's with my son. We go to the shop downtown which has a bar down below. Pretty good scotch selection I must say. Why don't I live in a town with a great place like this? Why am I stuck in Vermont? Have a cigar for me when you go there; you'll see.
