Putnam's Waterview Restaurant

I came here with some of my family the other week for an early dinner and there was plenty of seating so we were able to sit outside. Our waitress was very friendly and our food was brought out in a reasonable time. All of our dishes were quite delicious and the desserts were up to par too! I’ve loved coming here over the years and it certainly is a local staple.

Great, great place to make a pit stop when you're in the area! Parking in the rear or on the street; it's up to you! We were seated right upon entrance and welcomed with smiles! Courtney took fantastic care of us from beginning till when we walked out! The menu has plenty of options to choose from. The food portions are very well sized. Food was delicious! Very pleased with this place. And don't forget to catch a view of the river nearby!

Putnam’s is an overall fabulous restaurant. We have dined at Putnam’s a handful of times and each experience has earned a 5-star rating. Their menu is quite extensive offering appetizers, soups & salads, burgers & sandwiches, pasta, seafood and even daily specials. Today, we ordered the SW Egg-rolls appetizer (a lunch special), Turkey Club, Baked Seafood Sampler, and Fried Sea Scallops. All of which were reasonably priced, high quality food product, and oh quite tasty! Delicious. I will return to Putnam’s specifically for their Baked Seafood Sampler next time I have a lobster & scallop craving. I think we all can agree a restaurant’s staff can make or break a dining experience. Everyone here is pleasant, courteous, attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu. I feel comfortable dining here with our family, everyone is so welcoming. They even have a diaper changing station with a mattress pad in the Ladies restroom which earns them bonus stars, in my opinion. Looking forward to our next visit back, keep up the outstanding service & food!

Lobster salad was terrific - salad was a real salad, not just lettuce, like some places - and the sizable lobster chunks were delicious, with a very light mayo dressing.

Service was very good, too!

It was a beautiful evening so we sat outside (no water view ☹) . Road noise was occasionally loud.

Stick to the Specials menu, and you will never be disappointed ! every time I go, I pick something new. Very friendly staff. In great, fresh food. If you like seafood, this is your spot !

Best place on the area. Fresh cut fries. Homemade clam chowder. Everything wonderful. Wow we were just passing through too.. hope the locals know how good they got it.

The cheese burger club was a killer burger! The separation the third slice of toasted bread created between the meat and cheese and the tomatoes and lettuce kept the veggies nice and crisp. Onion rings were awesome too! We also had the steak and cheese with fries which was a tasty combo. Ended up with a lava cake and blueberry cheesecake ice cream to top off a solid meal during our pit stop of biking the rail trail. Staff was friendly. Would highly recommend!

I usually get take out, but wife and I do enjoy dining on once in a while. Wife's favorite is the chicken tender plate while I love getting the specials. Also the prime rib when they have it is a great treat.

We were last here when it was called Vignola's pizza!! We've just moved back to NH and happened to be in Goffstown this weekend. The place looks great. The servings were huge, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thanks. The Uphams

The dining room is pleasant and comfortable. The staff is very friendly, polite and professional. The food was fresh and prepared well. Very pleased overall!

We stopped in for lunch. I got a turkey club and had to take half of it home. It was fresh not slimy. They were attentive to my allergies as welll.

Nice food and service. Lovely drink selection and friendly guests. I ordered the chowder and a scallop wrap. The chowder was gone before I took a picture. Super creamy and delicious. April 2022

Literally the best French onion soup in the universe. Great, friendly service and delicious fish and chips.

Never have had a bad meal at Putnams! The service is great and food is exceptional. They even have ice cream. Such a nice environment for a family-friendly lunch/dinner.

I remember eating at this establishment when it was in Francestown, and as just a wee lad, the impression has lasted. They knew my grandfather, Richard (rest in peace), very well and will always be an important staple in my life, from going on Fridays with gram for some Fish n' Chips, to staying classic with some Tenders or a Grilly Cheese, a fantastic menu, different specials listed, and attentive staff as well as appetizing food, I love the memories I get to cherish of dining riverside at a classic American eatery like Putnams, you guys rock 🪨

1st time was phenomenal! Plenty of food for the cost and very impressive menu options. Plenty of daily specials to choose from as well. The worst part about eating there is trying to figure out just what to choose!!!

Delicious food in a friendly atmosphere. The service was wonderful. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area!

Our 1st visit today after nearby golfing in the area, and what a treat it was! We were VERY pleased ..from the very friendly waitresses to the cute, homey decor to the excellent haddock wrap/ clam chowder special. The quality, taste, presentation and cost of our lunch was well worth the 45 min drive from home. They had a nice beer selection and were very generous with their pour of my wine!! The next table had an order of the most delicious looking onion rings, we had to ask if they were good to which they enthusiastically replied yes!! It's obvious the owners & staff take great pride in their cooking & service. If we lived closer we'd eat here all the time, but will most definitely return again when in the area. Don't miss this little hidden gem when you're in Goffstown!!
