The Works Cafe

I am travel around US. I have been staying a month in NH. And i Just had bagels at The Works Cafe in Portsmouth ! Super friendly, extremely helpful, and Bagels were delicious! Iced Latte was ok. They have a ton of different Bagels 🥯. Highly recommended this coffee shop.

Amazing bagels! The cream cheese they used is the best I've ever had. Delicious, soft, creamy cream cheese. The service was slow. I wouldn't come here for latte coffee. It's made by an automatic machine, and it tasted like Dunkins coffee and much more expensive. I don't put sugar on my coffee, but this latte was too bitter that I need to put some. Perhaps their brew coffee is better but I wouldn't come back for coffee. Their pastries look delicious. We tried a scone and it was really good.

BEST sandwich everrr!!! Sooo yummy! I had the Farmers veggie, VT cheese & chicken! The ingredients look fake they are so perfect & fresh!

In town for a wedding, and this local favorite was recommended by a hotel staffer. Glad we made the walk, and will certainly return again if in the area. Stop by for lunch or coffee. You won’t be disappointed.

We stopped for a sandwich and a bagel. They have plenty of tables inside. I had sesame bagel with cream cheese. Bagel was delicious and toasted nicely. My daughter liked her BLT. It came on a nice sourdough bread. Everyone was friendly. We would definitely come back.

I had a berrylicious smoothie and a plain bagel with cream cheese—they were both amazing. I'd come back again.

Elevated Panera! Got the sunrise breakfast burrito (sweet potato, quinoa, avocado, caramelized onions, bacon) and the ingredients were fresh. The wrap was the best part, thin and crispy! Came out hot. Will say the dine in area was chilly. Also got a large chocolate p’nut butter smoothie and it was delicious with a great price

If you’re in Portsmouth, The Works cafe is a must! Located in the center of the quintessential town, The Works offers the freshest bagels and cream cheese. The bagels are light and fluffy and you can tell they were made only hours before being sold. The cafe is small and gets busy so be prepared to wait in a line and take your sandwich to go. Regardless, the bagels are so good that it’s worth the wait!

Vacationing in New Hampshire (Portsmouth). Downtown Portsmouth is awesome with many eating and shopping businesses (all entrepreneurs). 'The Works' was by far my favorite dining mostly due to their healthy dishes as well as healthy smoothies. The organic bowl 'Chicken Pesto' was truly one of the tastiest, freshest bowls i have eaten. Highly recommend and prices are in-line with competition.

I got a triple americano and a smoked salmon bagel that tasted amazing. The café itself is nice decorated and the ambiance was nice.
All I could say it’s that it was a little pricey for pretty much all cafés are the same.
Would love to come back here.

Great coffee shop! I try coffee shops in most cities I visit and I have to say this is among the best ice latte I’ve ever had!!! Worth checking out. Friendly staff and didn’t have to wait long for my drink.

I’ve been avoiding bread and ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich minus the bagel. The women prepping my food checked with me to see if I was planning on eating there, and she could put it in a bowl. That extra touch was really nice!

Got the avocado quinoa breakfast wrap. It was fast to come out and delicious. Their chai tea was pretty good as well.

Soooo delicious!! I wish I lived here so I could try more items on the menu!! I ordered the southwest chicken burrito and it had sweet potato inside! How unique! You gotta get the pico de gallo on the side to complete the taste!
My family of 6 all had different things and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals! The staff was very pleasant and quick with creating our amazing food delicacies!

Really cool place for breakfast or lunch. Many organic and locally sourced options. Prices were surprisingly affordable considering both of those things. Think Panera, but local, fresher, and organic. This place would be dangerous if it were closer to where I worked. I’d be in here all the time. Had the super chicken panini and the bacon, turkey, avocado on sourdough. Everything was so fresh and tasted so good. Just like their tag line....eat good, feel good.

Exactly what you want from a cafe! The food is appropriately priced and consistently good. They have a good selection of vegetarian options.
