We've wanted to try the restaurant for years and finally got there. First of all, to be clear, the pictures of the charming tables and well lit dining room with fireplace don't apply. You're downstairs in the tavern. Dark and cave-like but cozy. Smelled like cooking broccoli when we arrived. But we were seated at a nice table for two. Service was prompt and attentive. The server was very nice. Menu wasn't large but read well. We had the charcuterie board, which was ample but not particularly special. Still it was good if a little pricey. Drinks were large (I love getting the shaker along with my martini) and the craft cocktails were good. Entree's were well portioned and delicious. Lobster ravioli was great. Steak got overcooked but they remedied that quickly. All in all a very good experience and we would return.

Our room was the most unique one I have ever stayed in. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We also loved our dinner and drinks in the cozy bar. Highly recommend!

Three Three Chimneys Inn is historic, but also cozy and welcoming- we really enjoyed our stay!

The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the grounds are beautiful. The old buildings are so interesting and I love that the Inn shares the history of the land and the buildings.

We enjoyed the restaurant, and breakfast in the morning was much appreciated.

The only thing to be aware of is that everything shuts down early - the whole area seemed to be totally dark and closed by 9pm. This isn't necessarily a negative point, we just found it surprising! It's definitely a great place for relaxing, it was nice and quiet.

The whole atmosphere was amazing! It was a great balance of historic while still feeling renovated. The Tavern was incredible from the menu to the service to the vibes! Only thing I'd caution about is being the third in a room. I slept on the cot and was a bit uncomfortable but nonetheless a great room!!! Will be coming back!!

I went for dinner, not a room, and my wife reminded me how great the Jefferson chicken is. She was right! It's great!

Absolutely fantastic old fashioned inn. We have booked rooms here for traveling performing artists and for wedding guests, both of whom we did not want to disappoint.

We enjoyed our meals here. The lobster ravioli was fantastic. I loved the history of this tavern. We went on a busy night, however, service was still great.

Was here for a wedding. Staff was super attentive to what we needed. Always seemed like someone was available when we needed them. They were short a bartender but other staff chipped in and made it a great time. Food was also amazing. We will definitely go back.

We held the reception for my child’s high school graduation at Three Chimneys Inn this week and every detail was perfect. Kelsey helped us select the right rooms for the amount of guests, and with 25-30 people we took over the entire upstairs. Coppers, with all the beautiful original architectural details, was the perfect reception room and guests absolutely loved the inn and food. We chose the “Late night snacks” menu and had local beef sliders, a french fry bar with three flavors, a grilled cheese and tomato soup bar (the soup was outstanding and everyone raved about it) and ended it with a s’mores station - they also brought out their popcorn machine for quick snacks as we arrived. My kiddo’s great Grammie and an aunt stayed in one of the guest rooms and were quite grateful for the fireplace to warm up by after the rainy graduation ceremony. Romaine was our server and she did a fantastic job, even checking in with me frequently to make sure I had everything I needed as the host. Hosting the family and friends at Three Chimneys Inn was the best way to thank everyone for coming as we had guests from Hawaii to Downeast Maine and many places in between and it was a perfect celebration for our graduate.

I only visited the tavern but it is a unique feel that features great drinks and food with excellent service. It makes for a good night out for those around UNH!

Three Chimney's provided us with the best wedding experience we could have imagined! From the beautiful venue itself, with so much character in every room, to the delicious food, they were the entire package. Kelsey and Romayne were incredible and made planning so easy and stress free. They really went out of their way to add in special touches for us and make sure that we didn't need to think of anything other than having fun and enjoying our special day. They also took care of our rehearsal and dinner the night before our wedding and made sure everything went smooth the entire weekend. We couldn't be happier and only have good things to say. Looking forward to visiting for our anniversary dinner! Thank you so much!!

Recently, we got married at the three chimneys inn. It was the Perfect day. From the time we toured and booked to the day of event and beyond, Kelsey, Romaine, and their staff worked hard and seamlessly to make our event run smoothly. Kelsey was the best wedding coordinator, responding patiently to our many questions and follow up emails. Both Kelsey and Romaine were very present and calming all weekend! They always had a smile on their faces and made sure we and our guests had everything we needed. As the night was underway, they broke down all our decor and neatly placed it for our pick up the next day. I can not recommend this venue enough for anyones wedding or other big event! It’s a beautiful setting, they work well with other vendors such as the photographer, bakery, or dj, and their staff and accommodations were very welcoming. Thank you Kelsey, Romaine, and all your staff once again!!

Went for dinner last night. Ended up in the Tavern which was cozy and welcoming. My husband and I laughed how the menu seems to change each time we go- and each time we are thrilled with whatever we order. It is always delicious! We cleaned our plates! The service was friendly and helpful. We felt welcomed and well cared for! Just the right balance of attentiveness and privacy. We felt we could relax and take our time, but always had what we needed to enjoy a lovely evening out! Add to that it is conveniently located- with plenty of parking, it made the night that much more enjoyable!

Clean rooms and fabulous atmosphere made for a really great stay. My room was well kept and updated. Easy check-in and check out. I would return for another stay in a heartbeat. Good Knight!

Charming, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The continental breakfast delivered to the room was a nice touch. Noise leaks in a fair amount from hallways and the other rooms, but it's hundreds of years old and completely ameliorating that issue isn't reasonable based on the age of the buildings. Not the best spot to go if you plan on being loud.

Very warm hospitality on a rainy evening. Karen Meyer, TCI GM went out of her way to make our evening out together a memorable experience. Our waitstaff Keara was pleasant and tended to us perfectly. Thanks to the culinary and bar staff for a delicious appetizer, main course and well paired drinks. We look forward to our next special night out at the Three Chimneys Inn! Thanks for a wonderful evening out!

Have not stayed at the inn, but we love to dine there. Great food every time, and always something interesting on the menu.
Atmosphere is lovely, especially. The tavern by the fire on a cold day.

Beautiful inn!! Our room was great and every single staff person we encountered throughout our stay was very helpful and friendly. We ate at the tavern for dinner the night we got in and had breakfast the next morning. I recommend both. The food was delicious. My only disappointment was I didn't encounter any ghostly activity whole there... Maybe next time!

I've stayed here once and eaten at the tavern twice. The rooms are historic and quaint. The bed was comfortable, entryways were narrow and the wood floor creaked with every step. The restaurant is in the basement. It has an old time pub feel. There food was good, if a little pricey, but I got more than a simple meal. This was a dining experience. I plan to live it again.

Historic pub.
Ate dinner. Maybe the best mushroom bisque i have had. Good prime rib and salmon. Great service.
Try this place.
